Chapter 18: Her Kind Heart

I paced in my room while looking at the photo book on my bed.

The person in the picture is definitely Keilah—there’s no denying it. It even has her fucking name written under it.

She looked the same, but more vibrant in the photo. Her smile reached her eyes, and she looked breathtaking.

I saw the doorknob slowly turning, so I quickly closed the photo book and kicked it under the bed. I sat back down and acted like I was scrolling through something on my phone.

“Hey,” Matthew said, plopping on my bed. I clicked my tongue and pushed him to the side.

He groaned and savored my mattress. “Damn. They really gave you the best room in the mansion, didn’t they? My mattress feels hard as rocks compared to you.”

He closed his eyes and relaxed on my bed while I hesitated to ask him questions about the blind princess living in this very castle. If there’s someone who knows a lot about the affairs of other kingdoms, then it’s Matthew.
