Her heart shattered staring at the burnt building while some firemen tending on the small fires. People gathered around the orphanage, and Iris pushed every one of them. Her boss, Edin, caught Iris before she could enter the place. Crying out loud and finally broke free from his grasp, entering the area, and the foul smell of sulfur caught her nose mixed with a metallic odor. The image of slaughtered children and caregivers is in her mind.
The children who could have a bright future ahead of them and ruthlessly murdering them in the middle of the night. Who would do this to them? Iris stared at Sally’s lifeless eyes in her arms was the book she read for the bedtime story Iris used. Gathering Sally’s cold body to her arms, and cried.
Edin and his wife grabbed Iris, loosening her hold on the dead child.
“Who killed them? I swear if I find them I will tear up their body and feed them to the sharks.” Iris said. These innocent children were killed for no reason, and a heavy feeling rose in Iris’ heart. It was hatred and revenge.
Edin hesitated to answer, but Iris needs to know. “From the sulfuric smell, we believe it was the demons who heartlessly murdered the children and other people.” He replied. Edin was heartbroken when he found out about the incident and knew right away that Iris will arrive at the orphanage.
“Come, let’s get you home dear. You can rest in our guest room and we’ll tell you when the bodies are ready for the burial.” Edin’s wife, Carly, carried Iris’ soulless body leading her to their home. He exhaled harshly this situation was a shock to everyone. What were the sentinels doing? How did the demons enter the lands of Moonfall?
Iris remained lifeless in the guest bedroom of the Benver’s. Carly checked on her frequently she sighed. Poor girl the orphanage was her only family and those children…what a mess.
“Iris, the burial ceremony is ready. I placed your clothes on the dresser go and have a bath your prayers are what the children need to find peace in the afterlife.” Iris looked up at Carly’s brown eyes. Her raven black hair was tied up in a ponytail, and she wore a black dress. Black the color for the mourning of the dead.
They arrived at the burial many people were there offering their condolences to the families. A total of fourteen caskets lay in front of Iris. There were ten child-sized caskets and four adults. Medicia was present and hugged Iris tightly. The Benvers and the Coffee Howl employees mourned with them.
“Medicia, why did this have to happen? The children have always talked about their future dreams and their words are haunting me.” She hugged her tightly the tears staining her doctor’s coat.
“We would never know when incidents happen. The news of demons has spread throughout the Wulflands everyone is scared. Years ago, they almost wiped out every species in the Supernatural world, and I assume they will do so again.” Iris clenched her fists. She remembered about the Royal Military becoming a doctor seems far away now.
“I want to join the Royal Military, help me get on the list. I don’t care about becoming a doctor I want to exact revenge against the demons for killing innocent lives even if it means death.” Medicia couldn’t believe her words. The Royal Military is not a place for humans, and it’s a world of harsh environments.
“No, I won’t allow it!” She shouted. Her loud voice caught the attention of other people.
“If I want something, I will get it. You can’t change my mind, Medicia!” She could give anything Iris wants, but this request is too hard for her heart to take. She clenched her fists it was too risky.
“The DarkMoon pack’s capital city, Alarick, is not an easy place for a human to stay. Those high-class wolves will not hesitate to hurt you. Stay here in Moonfall where everyone accepts no matter who you are.” Medicia clasped her hands praying that she will obey. Iris shook her head, a sign of refusal. The disappointment was painted on her face, this girl is stubborn.
“Didn’t you say that I have to explore the world? Regain my memories even if it seems impossible? I need to avenge the orphanage and kill those demons. The Royal Military is the only way to achieve those things.”
“Out of all things, why does it have to be the Royal Military? Iris, we lost the orphanage, and I can’t afford to lose you too. Just do medical training, and then you can explore the world, okay?” Once again, Iris stubbornly refused.
“I don’t want that it is not what my heart wants. I will join the Royal Military whether you like it or not. I promise I’ll be careful at Alarick.” Medicia bit her lip, contemplating the answer she will give. Once she accepts, there will be no turning back. She’ll have to contact that special woman and hopefully will be able to protect her there in Alarick.
“Fine, if anything happens to you, please give me a call. The woman who saved you might kill me for this.” She murmured the last words Iris was not able to catch them.
Iris smiled in joy when she accepted her request. She promised herself that she will become stronger than any other wolves, and they will learn to respect her.
Edin approached them. “I used to train a lot in the military maybe I can train you while the Royal Military application is closed.” Iris smiled in gratitude. She would need body training. That entire place will be full of strong wolves and must be on par with their strength and skills.
“Oh my, the great Edin Benver, a military wolf general, is out of the shadows.” Carly teased her husband. We laughed when he blushed.
The bodies are now buried in a cemetery. We offered our prayers to the Moon gods that their souls may rest in peace. A small tear slides down her cheek, she will miss the warm feeling of home. The children’s laughter while messing with the caregivers. There will always be a reason for their deaths and she must find out the truth.
While walking around the once burnt orphanage her heart ached. They were her only family and the demons took them away from her. Unaware of her surroundings, a man slowly approached the woman and clasped his hand on her mouth preventing Iris from screaming. Taking out a handkerchief, the man pushed it to her nose inhaling the sleep induced scented drug. Her mind went hazy she could see a man with red-hair before her vision darkened.
Waking up with a jolt Iris looked around the unfamiliar interior of a car. Until she remembered that someone attempted to kidnap her she screeched upon seeing the red-haired customer.
"I was wondering when you were going to wake up." He said while pulling off the business tie and unclasped few buttons of his shirt. Her eyes widened seeing his well-built body exposed to her innocent sight.
"W-What do you want from me?" She stuttered her dress rode up a large flesh of thighs bared to the man's eyes. He licked his lips and crawled on top of Iris, inhaling the sweet scent the man's wolf became addicted for this human girl. Iris tried her best to push him away her hands touching his warm and hard chest. She shuddered when he roamed his hand over her thighs and kissed a sweet spot of her neck.
"I just wanted to taste you...and eat you." He whispered while continuing his assault on her body. She was supposed to fight him off but her body sensations betrayed her. Filled with desire and need this man is making her go crazy. Cursing at herself for wearing a dress the large, warm hand rode higher towards the edge of her underwear. She gasped and held on to his shoulder when he licked her neck. "You taste and smell delicious when the time comes I will come back and consume you, my little human."
Her mind was still in a daze he kissed her neck and another man opened the door for her. It must be the driver. "I'll see you soon." He released me and let me go. That's it? Iris gaped at him she thought he was going to rape her or something. "Don't look at me like that, little human. You're not ready I will wait until you are ripe for my taking." Taking her hand and left a kiss on it, a promise that will happen soon.
Iris watched as the car drove away her legs wobbled and collapsed on the ground. The mysterious man's touch left her body shaking from desire. Shame and embarrassment she cursed herself for losing control of her mind. The promise...is he really going to fulfill it?
Medicia traveled back to the Lycan territory as there was an emergency with her client. Meanwhile, Iris underwent harsh training with Edin. She couldn’t count the times she had body pains and huffed tiredly from their last training. Her body changed a lot and starting to have a toned body and few muscles and learned a lot of offensive and defensive skills for a business owner Edin hits back so hard. How did he even maintain his military training and still be good at it? Pulling the bag trolley, a cab was waiting for her outside. The couple waited for her at the doorstep with a smile on their face. “Good luck in the Royal Military. Please be careful the high-class wolves are not easy to please.” She gave Carly and Edin a hug. They will be missed a lot. Getting into the cab her journey began towards Alarick, the DarkMoon’s capital city. The driver dropped her off at the train station and paid the fare. Inhaling deeply, this is it one last travel then I w
His dark, piercing gaze roamed all over me, and I suddenly felt conscious to hide somewhere. He wore a black two-piece suit, and it fitted well with his built physique. Taking long, slow strides he walked toward my direction. Iris squirmed under his eyes and avoided them. Bringing his fingers to grasp her chin, and forced her to face him. He studied her face and lowered down to her lush lips. Pulling herself out of the reverie she slapped his hand away and glared at him. How dare he touch her like she’s a piece of jewelry? “What’s your name human?” He asked. “Iris.” “A beautiful name it fits perfectly with mine. I’m your Alpha Eris and you do know what that means, right?” A large hand caressed her black locks. Feeling annoyed with his actions, she grasped his hand. The wolves present in the area gasped at Iris’ actions. How dare she deny the Alpha’s touches? Amusement danced in his red eyes. He likes this little human. “What see
Her first day here in the Royal Military was not a good one. She tried to fit in, but these wolves are cold-hearted and pushed her around. Standing in front of Eris, who was busy reading a stack of papers. This demanding man has been throwing her around the military camp, carrying heavy loads of paper and delivering them to different departments. She was here for military training, not to become a slave for the devil. "Can I go now? It's almost dinner time, and I've been running around all day. I followed your orders, and thank god, tried to stop myself from strangling you." "No, your work is not yet done. After I finish reading this paper I want you to deliver it to the Health Department. Once you're done, come to the packhouse." One more errand to go? Iris sighed tiredly. Her feet couldn't handle another walk they're prob
Iris felt a lot better after a day of rest. Her new 'friend', Marissa, has been following her around all day. Even Alpha Eris was annoyed and kicked her out of his office. The big bad wolf was really attentive to Iris today, and constantly checked on her condition. Here she was thinking he's a heartless, arrogant man but there was a slightest hint of care towards her. The thought made her stomach flutter. "Do you have fever?" Eris asked her out of the blue. "Your face is flushed." He continued seeing her confused emotion. This girl has been day dreaming in the middle of her work and what could that be inside her mind? Checking the time it was already lunch. Time passed by so fast. Mind-linking his Beta he reserved a seat at one of the most luxurious and high-quality restaurants in DarkMoon. 'What's the occassion, Alpha?" Beta Jayden asked curiously. His Alpha last dined in that restaurant five years ago. What made him come back?
Eris watched as Iris walked away. He laughed when she kicked a pebble like a child. For a weak human like her there was fire and spirit in her eyes. A tough one to handle and disobedient usually everyone would follow his orders like a good subordinate. But it was different for Iris. "Alpha Eris." The guards greeted him as he entered the military camp. Beta Jayden and Delta Tristan was already inside his office ready to start the meeting. The Omega is unavailable right now and went home to prepare for the festival of her hometown. Eris acknowledged their presence and sat down. "The western territories have reported several sightings of rogues. However, there were no actions done against them but their movements seems to be suspicious. This is the picture taken by a lycanthrope sentinel. These men were digging through the dirt and formed a symbol." Jayden pulled another picture. The drawing seems to be unfinished and they couldn't decipher yet what it wa
The continuous throb of body pain woke Iris up. This time the bruises were visible thankfully there was no sticky feeling on her skin. She groaned these injuries were preventing her from moving a lot. She sat up attempting to grab the glass pitcher filled with water unaware of a man's presence sitting at the corner of the room. "Should I lick your bruises to make the pain go away?" A deep voice echoed throughout the room. Iris flinched from surprise and accidentally spilled the water on to her white shirt. Damn it! She glared at Eris who stood there with no remorse or anything to feel worried towards her. Damn, he's being a creepy man. How long was he staying in this room? "No thank you, have you been watching me sleeping all this time? What are you a creep?" He pulled out another shirt from the closet and threw it to her. Here she is again, sleeping on his bedroom and wearing his clothes. There is definitely something wrong with his brain. She's sure
The elegant woman sat down beside her and watched the water rippled under the moonlight. Only the sound of the blowing wind and the rustling of trees can be heard. Everything was peaceful, no chaos, arguments and a demanding Eris. "What is this place? I wish I could stay here forever and forget everything." She laid down on the grass and stared up at the night sky. "This place is called, Moon Lake. It used to be magical with hundreds of animals living in this area but a war scarred the world and has now become a forgotten memory. People rarely come here nowadays, modernization changed us all. Everyone sticks their faces to technology these days." There was a sad tone in the woman's voice. Iris' stomach growled and blushed embarassingly. "Who would wander around in this area on an empty stomach?" The woman stood up and walked towards a tree. A magical sparkle appeared from her hands and a fruit dropped on it. This world not only has werewo
Iris was making breakfast early in the morning. Her mind was occupied and thoughts filled with the kiss she shared with Eris. She blushed and accidentally spilled the hot water on her hand. Cursing loudly and immediately cooled her burnt hand with water. Eris arrived still a bit sleepy but it disappeared as soon as he heard a voice masked with pain. "What happened? You're so clumsy be careful next time, Iris." Taking her hand his warm mouth covered over the burn area. The magical healing powers of werewolf saliva eased down the throbbing pain. "W-What are you doing? I didn't ask you to heal my burn." She was mortified by his actions. Eris tightened his hold on her wrist and she couldn't pull it away. The sensation giving weird signals to her body, he's enjoying this. The servants and commanders walked in on them. Iris immediately pulled her hand away there was an awkward atmosphere in the kitchen. Eris cleared his throat catch
