View MoreAll she could see was darkness. She felt her body moving unconsciously towards a small red light. A hand reached out to touch the mysterious light, but it disappeared. She blinked her eyes once she gasped upon seeing a wolf-like beast with blood-red eyes and sharp fangs snarling at presence. The sound of rough knocking on the door awakened her from the dream. What the hell was that? Iris questioned herself.
"Iris, are you okay? You have been in there for an hour already. Please tell me you forgot your graduation day." Medicia asked. Iris does not consider Medicia Becker as her parent but more of a guardian. When Iris was still a young girl, they found her stranded by the riverside. She took her in and tended to her injuries. Not everyone was happy with having a human being on the Wulflands. A werewolf doctor living with a human sounds weird in the Supernatural world.
Iris hurriedly dried herself and wore clothes. Today is her graduation day, and Iris dreamed of becoming a doctor to help young children from the orphanage. Medicia herself was also a doctor and cared for the orphaned children.
"Congratulations on your graduation day! As much as I want to attend the ceremony, I have an emergency client to attend to." Medicia said. Iris frowned at her words. Medicia has been working a lot lately and barely comes home. This situation made Iris sad she loves Medicia very much, but she could not attend her graduation day.
"I understand. Once this graduation is over, I want to train under you to become a doctor and treat the children at the orphanage." Iris declared. It was a dream of hers even though she is a human no one can ever stop her from reaching the goal.
"When that time comes, I will train you even if it becomes impossible," Medicia said, her voice toning down at the end. However, Iris was not able to catch the last few words. She couldn't help but become worried for Iris' future.
Iris waved goodbye to her and walked towards Moonfall University. The graduation ceremony was fast and smooth. Everyone was happy and excited to start their careers. Iris wanted to celebrate it with Medicia unfortunately she wasn't available at the moment.
She went out to visit her boss at Moon Howl Cafe and spent time with them as today was her last day at work. "Congratulations on your graduation!" A middle-aged man welcomed her with open arms. Edin Benver, the owner of the cafe she worked for a great family man. He accepted Iris' human identity and treated her like a daughter.
The glass door opened a customer came in, but it wasn't any customer. A tall man with blood-red hair and eyes walked towards the counter and took a look at our menu. The expensive suit fits his built physique. Iris had to attend to the customers needs since the other workers were busy. "Good morning, sir. Would you like to try our best seller drink the the 'Requiem of Dreams'. I assure you it tastes fantastic." Her breath hitched when the man leaned over his eyes stared down on to her blue ones.
"Human." He whispered after sniffing her scent. There was curiousity in his red eyes and she felt the same too. It's the first time she's seen a werewolf with such hair and eye color. "I'll take whatever special drink that is." He said and gave me a black card. He's definitely a rich man taking out a pair of sunglasses he put it on. Who wears sunglasses inside a building? Oh right, guys who thinks they're cool.
After preparing his drink their hands touched and a electric spark was felt in a mere second. Once again he leaned closer to Iris inhaling her scent while his lips trailed over her ear. She shuddered under his gaze. Who is this man? What is he doing to me?
"Thank you for the drink. I'll be seeing you soon, my little human." He took the coffee from her hand and walked off. Her mind was in a daze, shaking her head she must focus on helping out at the cafe.
"Take care and congrats!" The couple and other employees greeted her happily.
"Thank you. I will be celebrating my graduation with the children tonight. Can I bring home some donuts and cupcakes for them?" Iris asked.
"Of course, anything for the young lady, we will miss you a lot. There is no longer a dark-haired girl shouting her head off at nasty customers." Edin laughed over the memory when Iris worked on the first day. This little girl grew up into a beautiful lady. "Our little Iris grew up. You will surely be missed here." Edin's wife, Carly arrived and kissed Iris' cheek.
Everyone celebrated her graduation day and wished her luck in the medical field. Nighttime came, and Iris closed down the cafe she felt a chilling feeling from afar. As if someone was watching her.
Iris toughened up and tried not to freak out. Whoever that person is, Iris wished she could see their face and beat them up for being creepy stalkers. She released a sigh of relief when the orphanage came into her view. Iris adored children, and those children became her family.
"Iris, I knew you would come today. Come in the children have been expecting you all day!" Natasha, the head caregiver, ushered her inside. Several small heads turned her way and began shouting in joy and hugged the children, and they gave back lots of kisses."I bought you some snacks!" The children cheered in joy and obediently waited for their turn to get the donuts and cupcakes. Sally was the last child, and she seemed to be weak and quiet."Sally, are you okay?" Iris asked worriedly. Sally had always been the loud one among all children but today seemed to be different.
"Sally has been crying since this morning. She thinks you were leaving the orphanage." Natasha answered. These children are a handful and love Iris too much. Natasha laughed when Sally pouted.
"Hey, no one is leaving you, alright? Soon I'll be here with you all the time there are few things that I have to take care of first before I could do that." Iris reassured the young girl. The door to the entrance opened; it was Medicia. Iris thought she would be busy. The children greeted Medicia before focusing back on their desserts.
"We need to talk." Those were the first words Medicia blurted out. She sounded serious, and Iris knew that Medicia means it following her until she stopped at the front porch. Medicia Becker was a middle-aged woman; the moonlight illuminated her beautiful features. The cold night air blew, and her brunette hair flew from the wind. Those green eyes held sadness and fear.
“I know how much you wanted to become a doctor and train under me. I’m sorry, but I can’t fulfill your wishes. I’ll be traveling to the Lycan territory tonight, and they’re hostile against humans. You have to stay here and take care of the children.” Medicia said. Iris’ heart jumped in shock. She’s leaving me? She couldn’t believe Medicia’s words and cried.
“So you’re going to leave me alone with these wolves who hate me just because I’m a human? What am I going to do if they try to kill me? Please, don’t tell me all of this is a dream. Medicia I need you.” Iris cried out and a tear fell down her cheek. Medicia inhaled deeply, bottled up the emotions within her heart.
“I promise you no one will hurt you. It’s about time I tell you about the past. Iris, there is more to your life than just sitting here and become a doctor I can’t do that to you. What about your loss of memories? You must go and explore the world to look for answers and find out your true self. A human can’t enter the Supernatural world, and there I knew that your story hasn’t come to an end.” She hugged Iris tightly soothing her tears. Yes, she is scared for her well-being but it must be done, she has to let her go.
“Fine, I hope I can survive without you here. You never told me about how you found me. Care to tell me the details?” Iris asked.
‘The truth is…it wasn’t me who found you. She was a special and powerful woman they found you by the riverside near North. They passed down the job to me by taking care of you I have no choice but to follow through.” Taking out a box from her pocket and handed it to me. Iris was curious and opened the box. She gasped at the beautiful necklace, it was a circular-shaped necklace and a small crescent moon painted in white. The color was blood-red it glowed in the dark.
“It’s beautiful,” Iris murmured.
“I was supposed to give this to you on your eighteenth birthday but time was running out. You wore this when you were still young and unconscious. The special woman asked me to give this back to you. But you must never give it to someone else and keep it safe at all costs. This moon necklace has tons of unknown value they might fight you for it.” She shivered at how special this necklace is that people will kill her just to get their hands on it.
“I have to go now. Congratulations on your graduation. I will miss you a lot and hopefully, we’ll meet again.” They hugged for a long time then Medicia left.
“Iris, please read me a bedtime story,” Sally asked her.
“Sure, let’s go inside and prepare you to bed.” Picking up a book she realized it was one of her favorite childhood stories.
“The girl found a new meaning in her life. The boy she loved for a long time turned out to be her true mate. By rediscovering her past, she was able to fix the missing pieces of her life,” She looked up and found Sally deep asleep. “and they lived in harmony and love, the end.” She whispered the last few words and silently left her room.
Iris greeted Natasha and the other caregivers with a goodnight and went home. Thankfully the chilling feeling was not there on her way home.
It has been a year since the demon war. The Blood Wolf couple was too strong that Iris felt like there was no need to worry for anything. The Northern region is still under recovery and has slowly re-established their lands. Instead of Iris staying with her people, thankfully they understood her situation. Cayden became their Alpha and he married the chief’s daughter, Katerina. Beta Jayden found his mate and shockingly Delta Tristan’s mate was Marissa. Both men fought a few times until they have come in peace. Omega Carlos was still a single and free man trying to be the best uncle of Ylana’s children. Tennin Denwald became the leader of the Council and led the citizens of Mythea City. Well...Mythea City is full of mixed creatures who’s kind was wiped out from the past wars. Iris stayed with her husband in the DarkMoon pack. Peace has now fallen over the Supernatural world, but it wasn’t the end yet. There were humans trying to enter this forbidden pla
Iris tied up the strings of her black combat boots. She hid a knife within the boots and few melee weapons. An old Leonine woman approached her, giving out food rations. There was a hidden smile in her eyes and Iris raised an eyebrow to question the old woman."You seem to be glowing today, Madam. Are you sure that you're joining us to this war?" the woman asked."I already made my decision and there is no turning back. Fate called me to be here, to fulfill my duty to the Blood Wolf people. Even if they're no longer here." she whispered the last part. The woman patted her arm to offer sincerity."Hm...maybe I was just imagining things. It's dangerous to bring a child at this time of our lives. Probably after the war and restoration of the Northern region. I wish you luck and good health, your highness." she slightly bowed then left Iris alone.Eris couldn't help but hear their conversation. He wanted to know if the ol
Iris was feeling ticklish when a warm hand travelled over her naked skin. It's early in the morning and he's trying to make her want him again. She opened her eyes when Eris moved around. He slightly pulled the duvet and she squealed when he did this."W-What are you doing? I'm sore, Eris." she complained. Just as she was about to kick him off he placed a kiss on her womb. This small gesture made her pause and a warm feeling appeared in her heart.Eris continued to pepper kisses and caressing her womb, as if he was cradling a baby. Iris couldn't help it and entangled her fingers to his messy hair. He's been waiting for years to get his own mate. She felt sorry for him, they were ten years apart. Ten years of waiting. What matters the most is that she's finally here and fate offered her to him."It would make me very happy to have our own family, to have beautiful children with brigh red hair. Their eyes a color of the red roses, h
Lauriel and the others welcomed them back with open arms. They were excited of the news they have discovered during their journey."Well? What have you guys found out?" Lauriel asked the couple.Eversince they arrived to the pack house they were much closer than before. It was clear to their eyes that Iris was giving Eris a chance. Could this be the time where it will finally happen? The moon priestess has been waiting for days of when will Eris marry her.The two demons has also appeared in their presence. They were only here to hear the news from the Blood Wolf couple. Iris wrapped her arms around Eris' cuddling up to him."Firstly, I'll tell you about the Southern demons. The demonic ritual they created was to gain power and immortality. They only needed the blood of the true royal Blood Wolf to complete the ritual." Eris started off.Iris glanced up to Eris and he nodded to her. "The only way to hide
Waking up groggily she smiled as she turned around. Eris was sleeping soundly right beside her his arms wrapped tightly around her waist. Bringing her hand up and caressed his soft red hair. He groaned in satisfaction snuggling closer into the hollow part of her neck. Iris giggled as he poured kisses on the exposed skin of the neck."Good morning, it's time to wake up sleepy head." Iris said."No...I don't want to get up." he groaned out with his sleepy voice.Eversince she became his mate he started acting like a 5 year old kid. So this is what it looks like to be in a relationship, huh? Eris cuddled up to her burying his face to her chest. What is he doing? She can feel the heat increasing in the room as Eris traced her skin with his lips. He trailed kisses riding up towards her neck."You're so delicious I want to eat you right here." he said with a raspy voice that made her body spark with heat."E-Er
The unexplainable phenomenon left everyone speechless. The once dead human girl was revived! She transformed into a Blood Wolf and the Roseate spirits were alive. This human was no ordinary human...she was a wolf all this time!"H-How is this possible?" Eris cupped her cheeks she was warm as if she's still alive. "Iris...you died.""I guess it's time to tell the truth." Lauriel stepped forward. Everyone was still confused of what they saw and she need to ease their minds. "One day it was winter season and I found a young child stranded by the riverside. There I found Iris and took her in through the care of Medicia, one of my high priestess. Because of the moon necklace around her neck I had to wait for years for the flow of fate to start. As she turned seventeen that's where it all began. The more she grew up the more I realized that she looks smiliar with the queen of the Blood Wolves, the true royals. Queen Rosie of the Bloodfall pack deliv
