Shelly got up all of a sudden and looked at Darcy.

“Darcy’s I have to head back home, I have to give the instructions to the cook for the evening meal. You and Melvin can continue chatting. I will walk back as it's still bright outside.” Shelly winked at her brother and was about to leave but she remembered something and so she turned and said. “Darcy, as you know it’s my birthday this Saturday, I am throwing a party at the Clintons, and you are invited.”

And Darcy could feel by her tone that she was commanding her but she merely nodded her head as she watched her walk out of the house.

Then she fixed her gaze on Melvin, who was smiling at her with amusement.

”You know if you are not comfortable, you could always decline her invitation. No one is forcing you.” But deep down inside he was hoping she would come.

“Who said I don’t want to come, it’s just that I need to check my schedule.” Darcy refuted back.
