Her emotions and feelings.

Zena POV’s

I felt the stares of his mum as she walked into the room. Her eyes narrowed, her lips pressed into a thin line.

I’ve never felt so unwelcome, so judged in my entire life. I knew what she was thinking. That I was some gold- digger, a home-wrecker.

I wanted to defend myself, say something to stop this preying eyes of hers, but I knew it would be futile because his mum had already made up her mind about me.

“You're nothing but a harlot, trying to seduce my son for his money." His mum said.

I felt a lump forming in my throat, but I forced myself to take a deep breath. I had to try to keep my composure, even though his mum’s piercing gaze was making me feel like a bug under a microscope.

His mum’s voice cut through the silence, and I flinched at the venom in her words. “I hate you Zena, and I’ll always do!”

My hands trembled, and I clenched them into a fists. Fighting the urge to cry. I wouldn’t let this woman see me break down.
