“ I told the HR to get you a new assistant, I heard they held an interview today, they got someone they think will do fine, she should be resuming soon”

John said as he put his head into his office at the door.

Fred said raising his head to look at her.

John walked into the office and sat on the chair in front of Fred.

He said looking at Fred.

Fred’s expression was sober.

“John, I don’t need a new assistant”

Fred said, his voice low but firm

John asked, his eyes slightly wide showing his surprise.

Fred didn’t answer John, he looked away stroking his chin lightly.

“I see, you want her back don’t you”

John said, his eyes wider now and he said at the edge of his seat.

“I can’t believe you man, you actually want her back after what she did, wake up man, she’s not to be trusted”

“well I didn’t say I want her back, I just said I don’t need a new assistant at least not for now”
