Megan's POV
I wanted to run to Ashton and be in his arms right away, but I couldn't move my feet. I felt overwhelmed with happiness as I realized he had come, and I tried to hold back my tears as I watched Ashton stride toward me while my siblings were on the sideline watching us.
I was so afraid that he would say something that would shatter my heart, but when he took me into his arms and kissed me, all my worries were gone. I could feel my entire body weaken as I felt him deepen our kiss as I coiled my hands around his neck, and I smiled when I felt Axel's little arm around me as I realized he was embracing us. Ashton let go of my mouth while he was still looking me in the eyes.
"I am so sorry," I blurted out, and I was about to say something, but he silenced me by putting his finger on my lips.
"Don't say anything, Meg; I should be the one who should apologize. I love you, and I admit I was hurt, but I should have come to you right away to tell you I don't care about the news I saw and heard." Ashton declared, and I could no longer hold my tears of happiness.
"I love you too," I mumbled, and he grinned at me.
"That is the only thing that matters at this moment, our love for each other," Ashton said as he caressed my face.
"Did you fight, Mom, Dad?" I heard Axel ask.
"No," we answered in unison as we stared at each other then we both looked at our son, and I bent down and kissed Axel's cheek as Ashton did the same.
"Okay, I don't want you to fight because I love you both." Our son said, and my heart swelled with happiness.
"We love you too, buddy," Ashton declared.
I held Axel's hand while Ashton faced my siblings. Ava walked closer to my fiance and hugged him, and then Dexter fist-bumped with him, and then I saw my sister wink at me and mouth I told you so, and I couldn't stop myself from smiling from ear fo ear.
Ashton held my hand, and he intertwined his fingers with mine while he carried our son as we got inside the house. My father and mother were in the living room, and I could see the happiness on their faces as they looked at us.
My father stood up, and he tapped Ashton's shoulder, and then he took Axel from Ashton, and he carried him going to the living room, and I could hear our son's laughter as his granddad tickled him.
I didn't expect Ashton would be joining us, and I knew there were a lot of things we needed to discuss and I wanted to tell him everything about Gael, but it seemed like he didn't care about what happened.
My siblings and I are both full since we had a late afternoon snack, but we joined my parents, Ashton and Axel, and we still eat light dinner. I could see the happiness on Axel's face as he had an interesting conversation with his dad about his activities in school, and I realized I couldn't imagine what would happen to our son if I didn't reconcile with his father.
I know Axel will be the first one who will become so affected if we will break up again, and I felt so glad even if another test came our way, we were still able to surpass it, and I could feel the contentment as I watched my fiance eating his food while looking at our son.
"Hey, I missed you so much, Meg," Ashton said after we tucked our son into his bed, and we were on the terrace of my house watching the stars in the skies.
"I missed you too, and even if you don't want to hear what I wanted to say to you, I will still say it anyway. I don't love Gael, Ashton; I will always be in love with you. I couldn't imagine myself loving anyone else." I said.
"I know, Megan, and I am so sorry if I am being a coward. I admit I felt hurt, and I am sorry if I didn't charge my phone. I was so afraid if you would tell me you don't love me anymore." Ashton said.
"And when Gael texted me, you are in love with him and not with me. And you planned together everything to make me believe you are still in love with me, I lost it, and I felt so worried if you would confirm everything he said was all true." He added.
"I don't want to lose you, Megan," Ashton said as he pulled me closer to him, and he tightened his arms around me while he kissed my forehead.
"Thank you that you didn't believe the news that circulated earlier this morning." he continued.
"I know Claire's motive, Ashton, she already warned me that she will do everything to ruin what we have, and I am aware that his father is your dad's best friend, but I trust my instinct, and I believe that you are in love with me." I declared as he looked at me while he was caressing my face.
"Of course I do; I am so in love with you, Megan Corteza," he responded, and I couldn't stop giggling.
"Me too, and I hold on to my love for you, Ashton, even if there is a part of me that tells me I can be wrong. And every time I get worried that you will never come back to me, I always touch the engagement ring you gave me, and I listen to the whisper of my heart." I responded.
"And I felt glad I listened to my heart this time, and I didn't make a decision that could jeopardize our relationship." I declared.
"Thank you, Meg, for giving me another chance." He said in more than a whisper, and this time, I was the one who caressed his face.
"Ashton, I will never close my door for you, and that is how much I love you," I said, and his face lit up.
"I am such a lucky man for having you in my life. I know Claire and Gael will try their best to break us apart, but I am telling you, they can never tear us, Meg, and no matter how they will try to ruin us, I know our love for each other will survive." Ashton declared as he looked at me, but he never let go of my hand.
His arms are still around my waist while my hands are curled on his neck, and I know it feels so sweet being this close to him, and we are still facing and staring at each other like two teenagers having a date under the starry night.
I felt so secure every time I was this close to Ashton, and all the fears and worries disappeared. And
I put my head on his chest, and I could hear the pounding of his heart.
"Yeah?" I replied.
"Marry me," he uttered, and I laughed.
"You already asked me that question, Ashton," I replied, and he grinned at me as I looked up, and he was smiling at me from ear to ear.
"I know, but I want to marry you tomorrow." He said, and I was shocked, and I became speechless as I looked at him, trying to understand if he was only joking.
"Are you serious?" I asked when he continued to look at me with great intensity.
"The grand wedding that I promised will still happen, but with what is going on around us, I could tell we needed to tie the knot before they can make another scheme." He responded.
"I already called the Mayor of Majuscule, and I told him about my plan, and we can come to his office tomorrow. Just me and you and our immediate family, and I am sorry, my dad wouldn't be there, and I apologize if you have to deal with my father's cruelty." Ashton added I could no longer hear what he was saying, and it felt like I turned deaf as I could feel the rapid beating of my heart.
I never expected Ashton would ask me to marry him tomorrow, it was unexpected, and I didn't even have a dress.
"My documents are ready, and I am sure yours too; I hope you will say yes, Meg." He said, and I stood on my toes, and I kissed Ashton on the lips hungrily, and he pulled me closer to him as he kissed me back. And I know the kiss I gave him was more than enough to tell him yes.
I could feel the knots on my stomach as he continued to devour my mouth, and when he let go of my lips, I said yes, and he picked me up and turned me around, and I giggled like a child.
"Thank you, Meg; I couldn't wait to make you my wife," he said after putting my feet back on the floor, and Ashton held my hand.
"Me too, and I am so excited to call you my husband and father of my son," I replied, and I could see the excitement on Ashton's face.
We walked towards my room with happy faces, and I couldn't explain the happiness I felt as I looked at Ashton and the moment we got inside my room. He didn't waste his time as he claimed my mouth once again, and I knew we both missed each other.
I couldn't stop from having butterflies on my chest by the time Ashton undressed me, and I could feel the sparks that traveled my entire frame as my fiance carried me and put my naked body on the bed while his intense gaze was drinking me in, and it was driving me wild.
"I miss kissing and hugging you, and I want to make love with you, Meg, to let you know how much I missed you." He said in a husky voice; And the anticipation is killing me, and I know I am so excited to make love again with my one and only love, my future husband, Ashton Pritzgold.
Megan's POV"You looked so beautiful, Megan!" Alice exclaimed as she helped me with my veil."Thank you, Alice, I know you will be more beautiful than I am today on your wedding day," I responded."Ha! Don't make me laugh, Megan, you knew that is not true, you looked like a goddess while I am just an ordinary woman you can see walking on the street on an ordinary day." She responded and I shook my head."Stop that, you are beautiful, okay?" I insisted and she beamed at me before she hugged me."I am so happy for you, my best friend, so glad that the heavens favored you. You are marrying Ashton for the second time and your son is your ring bearer, and your family is complete." She declared."Yeah, I know, and I am so happy," I responded."We should get out of the car before your husband will come," Alice said and I laughed. She helped me with my gown as I got out of the bridal car, and I inhaled the fresh air, the day looked so bright and I could tell it is the best day of the year to
Megan's POV"What are you doing here?" Dexter asked right away after he opened the door of his place."Dex, aren't you happy to see us?" I asked my brother, and I could see the guilt on his face."I am busy now, Meg, Ashton, why didn't you call me?" He asked."It is something important and I hope you can spare us a little of your time," Ashton responded, and my brother sighed as he turned his back and opened the door wider so we could get inside."Have a seat," my brother said as he motioned us to sit on the sofa. His place was immaculate, and I could see that my brother was anxious like me."What do you want?" He asked as he sat in front of us."Well, I wished to invite you and be my best man since we are having our church wedding in less than a month." My husband replied, and my brother's face fell."I am sorry, but let us face it, if you will invite me, I will be bringing Monica with me. She is part of my life now, she is my fiancee, and it would be an insult on her part if I will
Megan's POV"No, that is not a good idea, Ashton," I said after I heard my husband speak about making my brother his best man for our upcoming church wedding."Why not? I want him to be present during our special day, Megan; I know it would make you happy. I knew what your heart desires, my love." He responded."Thank you for considering my feelings, Ashton, but my happiness will not matter anymore; I don't want Isabelle to be miserable on our wedding day," I responded, and he looked at me for a long time before he spoke."Megan, I don't think it will make my sister miserable; she will be happy to see your brother," he declared."Belle will be broken-hearted, Ashton, Dexter has a girlfriend now, and I hate him for turning his back on your sister." I responded with a sad expression on my face."Hey, we both know they are in love with each other, I am sure Dexter got tired of waiting, and it doesn't mean he didn't love my sister anymore." He insisted, and I raised my hands; I didn't wan
Ashton's POVMaking love with my wife would always make me feel excited and complete, and I couldn't explain the happiness I felt as I watched her sleeping peacefully in my arms after the hottest lovemaking we had ever shared. My wife turned me on like crazy, and I found it hard to stop my erection; the way she teased me blew my mind. Megan became bolder in bed, and I loved it, and I knew she only wished to please me.I was watching my wife's face with a beautiful smile on my face.I loved the feeling that I made her exhausted in bed. I knew we planned to have a night alone in the tree house, but something came up, but tomorrow night, it would be only for us, and I didn't want to stop surprising Megan.I wished to make her happy through simple things, and I knew my dad's offer was hard to decline. Marrying my wife for the second time would be the most especially gift we could give her, and I am excited since it was my father's plan.My dad and mom would be there standing beside me on
Megan's POVI know happiness was a gift from God, and after I gave Ashton's dad my forgiveness, I felt different. I didn't hate him, but I wanted to make Gregory accept me for what I am and as his son's wife.I couldn't deny there were moments in my life I wished I belonged to Ashton's world, but I realized I should be proud of who I am and what I have become."You looked so happy now, did your talk with my dad go well?" Isabelle asked when I saw her in the living room after speaking with my father-in-law."Thank God, Isabelle. Axel and I are officially part of your family," I answered with a broad grin."Of course, Megan, you were already part of our family after you gave birth to our nephew, and when you became our brother's wife, we became happier." She replied."Belle, you can't blame me for worrying because you know your father didn't accept me as your brother's wife. But right now, I was so overwhelmed with happiness that finally, your dad welcomed me as Ashton's wife." I declar
Ashton's POV"Can I have a word with you?" My dad asked me, and I nodded my head. We had been fishing for more than three hours, yet the boys were still having fun, especially my little boy.Axel had been shouting every time Lennon pulled out his fishing hook since he was the one who had been blessed to capture much fish. I was unlucky today; maybe the fishes on the lake felt the anxiousness that I felt in my heart.I was still apprehensive about my father's change of heart, and I couldn't stop myself from wondering if he was true to his words. My dad already fooled us once when he acted; he was so eager to meet and be with my wife, only to find out the truth later that he had another thing on his mind, and that was to humiliate my wife in front of everyone during the party he threw for us.He couldn't blame me if I doubted his intention at the moment. He looked so calm as he sat on the rock while I stood beside him, watching my grandpa Henry, Axel, and my brothers on the bank, waitin
