Megan's POV

"Are we really going to great-granddad's house?" Axel asked, and I could see the excitement on his face.

"Yes, so you better take a bath now so we can eat breakfast," I replied with a smile on my face.

"Okay, mom, I couldn't wait to swim at the lake," he replied and got out of my old room before I could even kiss his cheek.

He looked so cute wearing his pajamas, and I know I will miss him at this age; years from now, and that is why I didn't want to miss a thing.

"Hey, good morning," I heard my husband mumble, and I turned around and looked at him.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" He asked as I sat beside him on the bed, and my queen-sized bed looked so small for the two of us.

"You were sleeping like a baby," I responded as he pulled me with him, and I giggled as I collapsed into the bed beside him.

"I always wanted to see your beautiful face before you opened your eyes." He softly said as he yanked me by the waist, and I could smell his hot breath on my neck right away as he sniffed me, and I could feel the goosebumps all over my skin.

"I am sorry, my love, I couldn't kiss you last night as I promised. I didn't expect my siblings would be joining us." He said in between his kisses; his lips traveled on my throat down to my collarbones, and my entire body was on fire.

"I wished to fulfill it this morning," he said in a husky voice, and his hand found my thigh, and he caressed my flesh seductively, and I closed my eyes when Ashton nibbled my ear.

"I am sorry, my love, but you promised your sister that you would drive her to grandpa Henry's estate, and our son was excited about it," I stated, and he grunted as I could see the disappointed look on his face.

"Axel was here?" He asked, and I smiled as I nodded my head.

"I told him to take a bath so we can eat breakfast before we leave," I replied, and he grinned.

"You can explore my body later tonight; maybe making love in the lake would do," I seductively said, and his smile widened as he sat up on the bed.

"I better stop what I am doing before our son returns here." He stated, and I giggled.

"How many days are we going to stay at your grandpa's estate?" I asked.

"I think only two days; I needed to go back to Majuscule since I am now jobless; I don't want your family to think I couldn't afford to support you and Axel," I responded.

"They are not like that, and you can work in my company if you want, Ashton; you can be my VP for Operations," I said, and he looked at me with seriousness.

"Are you offering me a job, Mrs. Pritzgold?" He asked, and I couldn't stop from grinning at him.

"If you want, I can hire you immediately, and I needed someone to oversee the operation, especially now that I am starting to expand my business," I answered, and he suddenly looked sad.

"Thank you for the offer, Meg, but I want to find a job on my own; I want you to be proud of me." He answered, and I cupped his face.

"I am proud that you are my husband, Ashton. Marrying you was the best decision I had ever made. Jobless or not, I will still love you. We promised to be there for each other, for richer or poorer, and I have to stand with that vow." I declared, and his face softened.

"Thank you, Meg, but I hope you understand my point. I want to make my own name, and I wish to provide you and Axel with all the good things this world could offer; with my money." He responded.

"We've got everything we needed, my love," Megan softly mumbled.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked, and he suddenly looked alarmed as he nodded his head.

"Are you planning to go back to being a model?" I inquired.

"I am not sure, Meg; I've got offers; I received a call from my agent that the leading car company in the country wanted me to endorse their newest sports car in the market." My husband responded.

"I forgot to tell you, and why do you ask?" He asked as he looked me in the eyes.

"I don't want you to be on television, you may call me crazy, but I hate to see you with another woman even if I know she would only be your partner for a particular advertisement." I declared, and I couldn't read the expression on his face.

At least I could tell him what was playing in my head. I had been dying to tell Ashton my opinion about his career as a model, but I didn't get the chance.

I suddenly felt worried that I had offended him, but a beautiful smile formed on his mouth as he caressed my face with his fingers

"Thank you, Meg, for being honest with me, don't worry, I will not accept the offer and the coming offers; I can work anything," Ashton replied as he kissed me on my forehead.

"Are you sure?" I asked, unable to believe he would simply give up his career as a model for me.

"Anything you ask, my love, I will never hesitate to do it," he replied as he beamed at me.

"Thank you, my love," I mumbled.

"I didn't know you were jealous of the girls linked with me," he answered, and I knew he was only teasing me.

"Yes, I am," I answered, and he chuckled.

"Good to know; I love it when you are jealous. It only means you love me," he said, and I smiled at him.

"I guess we better take a bath now and get ourselves ready before our son returns here in your room," Ashton said.

"Don't worry; I already asked my sister to assist Axel in taking a bath and putting on his clothes, our little boy could do it on his own, but I want him to get ready in an instant," I responded.

We took a shower together, and in less than thirty minutes, we were ready. We went downstairs and joined our parents in the dining area.

We happily ate our breakfast together with my family, and I didn't expect my brother would be in our house during the first hour of the morning.

I wondered if Dexter was really happy with Monica since I couldn't see it on his face. Dex was having a good conversation with my brother and father, and as usual, they discussed the previous football game.

After we ate, we bid farewell to my parents and siblings.

"We needed to pick up Isabelle at my parents' house, and I have to give Lennon my resignation letter, and he will be the one to give it to our father." My husband said as he drove away from our house.

"You don't need to get out of the car, Meg; you better stay inside since I don't want my father to hurt you." He added.

"Okay, that is a good idea." I replied.

I felt glad Isabelle was already waiting for us at the guardhouse, and Ashton didn't get out of the car since he only left the envelope at the guardhouse, and one of the mansion's guard would deliver his reaignation letter to his father.

Axel was so happy to see her aunt, and he was talking nonstop from the time his father started the car until he fell asleep on my lap.

I was glad my husband insisted I should sit at the back to make sure the safety of our son since Axel doesn't like having seatbelts attached to his body.

"I couldn't imagine myself being away from you both," my husband said, and I furrowed my forehead as I looked at his face on the rearview mirror.

"I will be missing Axel's funny stories while I will be missing all about you, my love," my husband added, and I was overwhelmed with happiness, and I couldn't believe he would be saying something sweet like that in front of his sister.

"I don't want to be out of place, Ashton, so, you better stop talking sweet nothings to your wife, or else I will end up crying again. I had enough, and I needed to be happy." Isabelle said, and his brother let out a soft sigh.

"I am sorry, Belle, I almost forgot you are with us," he answered.

"I am just kidding, I am sorry if I was being insensitive, but don't worry I will make sure you will be happy at grandpa's estate," Ashton added.

"Thank you, but I don't think you can do something about my unhappiness, big brother; I don't know when I have to carry this pain in my heart." Belle replied.

"Don't worry, I could tell we can always find a way to make things better." Ashton answered.

"Thank you for trying, Ashton, but let me tell you that I tried all methods, but I don't think something would work out." Belle responded, and I was silent as I listened to them talking with each other.

I smiled as I realize Ashton was doing his best to make his siter happy, but my face fell as I realized it was my brother who made Isabelle miserable. I couldn't rest until I will find a way on how to help them whatever it takes.
