Chapter 7: Would You Run?

               Night

Villix Bane, the vampire who wants a stranger lady to be the mother of his future children was being run away as fast as that lady can away from him.

I don't know if I even stopped cursing under my breath knowing I am just trying my luck to know where is the exit of this place.

My breathing was heavy as my chest continued to move ups and down making my pace slower. Sweats were insanely flowing at my skin too because of how long I have been running for my life. My neck also hurts as I keep on turning my head to see if someone was in my back, or if Villix was already there looking like evil at my back.

As I finally saw the huge door in front of me, I quickly held the doorknob and was about to turn it to open. But something stopped me as I felt a reverse force from the outside who attempted to turn it too.

My heart pounds much faster again as the imagery of Villix came into my mind.

D*mn no!

I was about to run away again but I just became a statue as it suddenly opens most strangely. It was been broken, by a sudden force coming from the outside.

My eyes widened staring at it but were quickly broadened more as I saw a lady I never expected to see. We both looked at each other like we are both ghosts of our past.

Awkwardness arose in the atmosphere more as I uttered her name, “C-Ciara?”

D*mn I have no time for this.

I shoved Ciara from my way to run again but to my surprise, she unexpectedly snatched my wrist then pulled it as she ran.

“Hey! What are you doing?!” I shouted but she just ignored me. I tried my best to free it from her grasp but the more I try was the more she tightens it, almost tearing it in half.

“D*mn this family! What are you all doing to me? I am not a dog that you can pull or take wherever you want! Let me fr–“ I was been interrupted as Ciara suddenly stop then placed her thumb on my lips.

“You’ve got rosy red lips, girl. Don't make me want to tear it apart,” she coldly said as her eyes started to shift into glowing red and pulled my lips into a pout.

As she looked like she doesn’t have a plan to take away her finger on my lips, I took all of my strength to spit out my saliva out of my mouth. Fortunately, it wetted her finger that made her suddenly moved backward.

I smirked at her. “ Don't try to make me fear you by showing those eyes,” I said as I wiped my mouth using my palms. “I have that too.”

As I thought she was going to be full of disgust, she suddenly bursts into a laugh that made me arched my brows.

That psychotic laugh was hereditary, it runs through their d*mn family. I sighed.

She slowly wiped my saliva on her finger using her clothes then looked at me. “No wonder my Dad left me with Killix that easy, you are his type. Congratulations! You will be our next mom then, Night.”

I suddenly felt all of my body jerked up. I hardly swallowed the lump in my throat as her smirked was still plastered all over her face. My eyes were now narrowed as my eyebrows already crashed together looking at her.

“Don't make me want to vomit in front of you, Ciara,” I blurted as I held my mouth to stop me from feeling the disgust.

She burst into laughter again then sat from the grass, she then slumped herself on the tree behind her. She fixed her clothes then looked at me unbelievably. “How funny that we knew each other's name when in fact it's only our first meeting of just the two of us,” she said then laughed again.

I stayed standing while looking at her. My eyes then darted their glances at her eyes, it was sparkling, as a single tear escape from her left eye. She suddenly closed it then harshly wiped the thing that escaped. I then heard her mumbled a curse as she opened her eyes.

“You could be a great mom for us. Imagine having children older than you and a husband that is already centuries old. Imagine, you replacing my mom,” she suddenly mumbled.

I don't know what got into me, but I comfortably sat while facing her. I closed my eyes as I slowly heaved a deep sigh. I then looked at her. “I would never be your mom. I don't know you but, I just have to say it. No one can replace your mom in your Dad's heart. Maybe he just sees me with a little resemblance with your Mom, that's why you said that I'm his type.” I let out a short laugh. “And I don't even have a plan to be your mother too.” I flashed a wry smile at her but just as she did earlier, she burst into a laugh again.

“F*ck! Why? Do you think I want you to be her replacement too?” she said then facepalms herself. “And what are you talking about? No one can replace her?” She laughed while her tears were flowing like a fall on her cheeks. “Funny how a stranger can make me cry in front of her! This is crazy!” she shouted but I just stared at her.

Moments passed, her head lowered as she tried to secretly wipe her overflowing tears. “Someone already did, Night. And to be honest, I am a little bit glad that she came, she made me feel to have a mother again,” she said as she keeps on gulping every time he voiced out a word.

“I want her to marry my dad so we can be an official family. So she will be my dad's wife.” Her eyes can't focus in one direction as she keeps on turning her head away from my sight.

I gulped as she finally looked at me.

“But she always declines, to say we can be a family without them being married.” She cursed. “I trust her with all of my heart back then, yet, I don't think I did the right thing,” her voice suddenly croaked as her sobs rang on my ears. She raised her head then tightly shut her eyes.

And here I am, seating still while looking at her. I can't understand her, but God knows how I am trying. This is the second time someone broke down in front of me. And I seriously don't know how to comfort them.

“That someone I treated as a mother has been pregnant with another man. I don't know that she just sees my father as a brother. And that made me realized why she doesn't want to be married to him. He just felt pity towards my dad that's why she tried her best to accompany us, especially when she saw how my dad act when she once rejected his love.”

She looked at the ground. “And then, Killix sprung, she still tried to name him like my Dad's name, Villix. She tried to secret it and covers her sin by fooling us that my dad is the f*cking father. “ She heaved a deep sigh. “Until we found that Killix isn't a pure breed vampire, while she and my dad were a pure breeder one.”

My eyes widened at their extent while looking at her, but as I was about to react, she suddenly stands then motioned me to stand too.

“My Dad lost his sanity after that, and as he found out, he persecuted Killix's mother and almost Kill too. He was just lucky enough because someone saved him. So as you still have time, run with me and left that man. I knew his plan all along Night because I lived here too, but don't also forget how he abandoned me for you. And let me tell you this, he can do that to you too,” she slowly explained then looked around to see if someone was eavesdropping then continued again as it seems negative.

She heaved a deep sigh then locked her gaze at me. “He only wants to use your blood, Night, your Carnelian's blood.”

She then leaned towards my shoulder then placed her mouth closer to my ear. “You don't have any idea how powerful you are and your blood is. Imagine a vampire who can turn every other vampire to vanished by just her blood.” She maintained her intense stare at me. I just felt it. “And now that you know it, would you run with me?”

I stared at her hand in front of me. I hardly swallowed the lump in my throat as I take it.

This is what I want in the first place, to run away from here. And Ciara already knows this place better than me, she can get the both of us out here.

I heaved a deep sigh.

I just hope I won't regret this decision in the future…

That I still decided to live than to already kill myself.
