2026-10-04 10:19:50The longer Clarissa and Seraphina stayed at the Laurent mansion, the more distant Violetta’s relationship with her father became. The two of them continued to provoke Mr. Laurent into hating Violetta.
That evening, Mr. Laurent asked all the members of his family to gather in the main hall, saying that he had something important to discuss.
Once everyone had gathered, Mr. Laurent began to speak.
“For the sake of the Laurent family business, I wish to arrange a marriage between one of my daughters and an Alpha from the Veyron family.”
Seraphina’s eyes widened. Her lips trembled as she feared that her father would single her out. She knew all too well what the Alphas from the Veyron family were like. It was an open secret that the Veyron family was notorious for its cruelty. Besides, Seraphina already had someone she intended to spend her life with.
“Seraphina. Are you willing to marry a son of the Veyron family?”
“F-Father. I’m older than Violetta, but why do I have to—”
Before Seraphina could refuse, Clarissa stepped closer and gripped her wrist, signaling her daughter to be quiet. Then she looked at her husband.
“Of course Seraphina is willing. Isn’t that right, dear?” The woman smiled, silently urging her daughter to agree to Mr. Laurent’s request.
“But, Mom...” Seraphina whispered. Yet she reluctantly nodded, agreeing to Mr. Laurent’s request.
After the meeting ended, Clarissa dragged her daughter into the bedroom. They began plotting something terrible.
“Mom, have you lost your mind?! Why do you want to throw me to the wolves, huh?” Seraphina snapped.
“Shh... Calm down. We have to be nice in front of your stepfather.”
“Do you have a plan, Mom?”
“Of course.” The woman smiled wickedly.
The next day, Seraphina kidnapped Violetta. She took the girl to an empty house on the edge of the forest.
“Seraphina! What are you doing?!” Violetta screamed, trying to break free from the grip of two strange men who were holding her arms.
Seraphina laughed wickedly. “To destroy you, of course! I hate always being treated as second best by Dad. I want to be the only daughter in the Laurent family!”
Seraphina took out a vial of liquid. Then she forced Violetta to drink it.
“Ugh!” Violetta tried to resist, but her mouth was forced open, and the liquid slowly flowed down her throat. “What kind of liquid are you giving me, Seraphina?!”
“Just an aphrodisiac. Aren’t you having trouble releasing pheromones? That’s why I’m helping you—so lots of Alphas will catch the scent of your body!” Seraphina laughed heartily.
Then she left, leaving Violetta alone.
A few minutes later, Violetta’s body began to feel hot. Cold sweat poured down her face.
“What’s happening to me?” Violetta tried to get out and find help.
In the distance, she saw several shabbily dressed men approaching, following the pheromones wafting from her body.
“I never expected to find such a beautiful Omega here,” one of them whispered.
“No! Don’t come any closer!” Violetta tried to run with all her might. Not knowing which way to go, she ran deep into the forest, not caring that branches and rocks were scraping against her legs.
“Someone, please help me!” she screamed.
The two men continued chasing after her. Violetta was completely exhausted. Through the mist, she caught a glimpse of a building in the middle of the forest.
“Am I hallucinating? How could there be a large building in the middle of the forest?”
But Violetta didn’t care. She tried to bang on the building’s door.
“Help! Anyone inside, please help me!”
The door opened, and a burly man stood tall in the doorway. His eyes glowed red.
“Sir, please help me! Some bad guys are chasing me,” Violetta pleaded.
The man took a deep sniff of the sweet scent wafting from the girl’s body. His breathing grew heavier. He hadn’t even finished inhaling Violetta’s scent when the two men arrived.
Immediately, a fierce battle erupted between the stranger and the two men.
The two men eventually fled.
“Thank you for helping me. I have to go.”
“Who told you to go, hm?” The man’s growl sent shivers down Violetta’s spine.
“Sir... please set me free.”
Without answering, the man led Violetta inside his enormous mansion.
