Mister and Pearl were both so pissed off that it was damn near impossible to hide it. Pearl took a deep breath and she tried to maintain her composure. She thought carefully about her words before she opened her mouth to speak.
"My queen," Pearl started to speak, "I have been a loyal and faithful employee of this castle for more than twenty years now. I will admit that I am not always perfect, however, I beg you to understand that everything that I have ever done was with the best interest of Mister and this castle in mind," Pearl said eloquently as she batted her thick eyelashes.
