Chapter 18: A sad soul's body

It was eight o'clock in the morning when Sam left in a hurry.

"Mom, dad, I'm not coming in school now." Sam said when she saw her parents in the living room.

"Why don't you come in school?" Her father asked.

"I just have something important to do. All right, I'm leaving mom, dad." Sam said and immediately walked out of the house.

"Come on, Sam ...!" Her father shouted.

"Let her go, hon. Only now will she fail in school and her grades in school will also be high." Sam's mother spoke politely to her father.

"Haysstt, that's why you're tolerating your daughter!" Disgusted Sam's father said.

"She's grown up and she already knows what she's doing." Sam's Mother said.

While Sam's parents were talking, she came out of the gate at that time and met her grandmother at the gate.

"Oh Sam, you look like you're in a hurry." Her grandmother said when she saw.

"I'm going somewhere grandma."

"Okay be careful, huh."

"Yes grandma, i well." Sam smiled and turned around and walked away.

When her grandmother came inside the house she found Sam’s parents sitting in the living room.

"I saw Sam leave. Did you let her?" The old woman asked.

"We haven't agreed yet, she suddenly left and hurried out. She didn't get in school today." Sam's mother said.

"Your daughter will miss me if she continues with her disrespect." Sam's father said to her mother.

The couple's conversation continued as Sam continued walking to visit Shane's parents' house.

On the way Sam could see the big trees next to her and the houses there.

Soon Sam heard Claire's voice.

"Sam.! Sam.!" Sam hears over and over.

She searched for where the voice was coming from and she saw Claire suddenly appear in front of her.

"It's just you Claire. I've been looking for you for a while." Sam said.

"I've been following you before." Claire replied.

"Are we still far from Shane's house?" Sam asked.

"Here we are. That's their house." Claire pointed to the house.

Sam also walked a long time before she reached Shane's house without her knowing because Claire knew and it was true that in her position the house she was looking for was just nearby.

Shane's house is small and their house is made of wood because their family is poor.

"Are you sure, that's their house? Why does it seem like no one is there and the door is closed.?" Sam asked one question after another.

"Look at Sam, so you can talk to her parents."

Sam came to the door and knocked.

"Knock ...! Knock ...!"

Suddenly the door opened

"Are you Shane's mother.?" Sam asked.

"Yes I am and why did you ask?" The woman asked.

"Because ma'am, your daughter Shane is not dead yet." Sam said to the woman.

"What are you saying?" The woman asked her angrily.

"Your daughter is still alive so her body cannot be embalmed." Sam said.

"You know, whoever you are you will honor my daughter's death." Suddenly the woman closed the door.

"Wait a minute!" Sam said loudly but the door never opened for her.

There was sadness on Sam's face when she failed to talk properly to Shane's mother.

"Claire ...!" Sam calls Claire.

“Oh, did you talk to her parents well.

"I wasn't because her mother don't believed." Sam replied.

"Let's just go over her body." Said Claire.

"Let's go to the funeral home." Sam said.

Sam had already walked to the funeral home where Shane's body was. Claire disappeared again and Sam just kept walking. The funeral home is just around the corner from Shane's house. When it came to funeral home she talked to a balm.

"Excuse me, I'm just going to ask if the body of the demon -possessed girl has been embalmed? Her name is Shane."

"Ah ... not yet. I haven't moved yet because her body is still hot so it's weird because if she's dead her body must be cold." Said the balm to Sam.

"Because she's still alive. Her soul is trapped so she can't return to her body. Her wrist is just hidden." Sam said seriously.

" Are you sure?" The balm asked him.

"I'm sure." Sam replied.

Suddenly Shane's mother arrives.

"Don't believe that girl." Shane's mother said.

"Why can't I believe her?" Question of a balm.

"Because what she's saying is impossible." Said the woman.

"But your child's body is still warm." The embalm said.

"Do your job and it will be for the peace of my daughter's soul." Said the woman to the balm.

"But your daughter is still alive." Sam said.

"Can you please ..., shut up and stop saying she's still alive because it's impossible to happen." The woman said  to Sam.

Sam didn't say a word after the woman spoke.

The embalmer also did nothing but follow what the woman said. Shane's body was completely cleaned and Shane's earthly body also died.

"Repentance is too late." Sam told the woman to turn around and walk away.

The woman looked at Sam wickedly from its standpoint.

"Sam wait, where are you going." Claire asked.

"I'm going home because Shane's mother isn't listening to me. She doesn't want to believe me." Sam replied.

"But what about Shane, Sam."

"I'm sorry but I can't do anything. I tried to stop  but her mother wouldn't listen." Sam said sadly.

Sam got home at noon. When she got home she did not see her parents and even her grandmother.

"Mom ..! Dad ..! Grandma ..!" Sam calls but no one answers them.

"Where else did they go?" She asked.

Suddenly Claire appeared at her side.

"Your parents are gone. They left you Sam." Claire said.

"Maybe they just went somewhere." Sam said.

Sam went to the kitchen.

As Sam headed to the kitchen her vision suddenly darkened. She saw a shadow enter the kitchen so she followed it. As she entered the kitchen she saw the shadow take a knife and face to her. Sam's chest throbbed quickly with the fear she felt.

"Mom ..! Dad ..!" Sam calls her parents.

Sam stood in the doorway as she watched the shadow. Eventually the shadow got closer and closer to her whereabouts and planned to stab her. When she was stabbed by a shadow, she suddenly woke up from sleep.

"It's just a dream." Said Sam.

Sam fell asleep on the sofa unconscious after she entered the house earlier.
