Chapter 19: The merger

"Where did they go?" Sam asked while lying on the sofa.

"Maybe there's something important going on." Claire said sitting next to Sam.

When she entered their house before, she did not see her parents and her grandmother. She was also impatient with the wait. Later her parents also came with her grandmother.

"Hi mom! Hi dad! Hi grandma!" She was happy to see her parents and her grandmother just at the door of the house. She got up from lying down and arranged to sit up.

"Hi ..!" They feel for Sam.

It looked tired and there was a trace of sadness on its faces but Sam just ignored it.

"Where did you go?" Sam asked.

"In the hospital." Her grandmother answered and she sat down next to her.

After her grandmother answered Sam fell silent.

Her father quietly went to the other chair near the door and sat down. Her mother went straight to the kitchen to get a drink. When her mother returned she was holding a glass and petcher with only cold water.

"Drink some water first." Her mother said to her father and her grandmother as she looked at them with mixed astonishment.

"Why did you go to the hospital?" Sam asked again but they didn't answer right away.

"I'm sorry sweety, we didn't call you before. We ran your grandmother to the hospital because she suddenly fainted and fell. Maybe her head hit the floor so we went to see the doctor to make sure." Explanation of her mother.

"How is grandma?" Sam asked again.

Her grandmother replied.

"I'm okay Sam, don't worry."

"You're sure grandma, maybe you're still in pain." Sam worries.

"There was no damage to your grandmother's head so she's fine now." Suddenly her father said.

Sam stood up in her seat and spoke again.

"Dad, can you take me to school today? I just want to talk to someone." Sam approached her father.

"It's been a while Sam and I've been a little tired lately." Answer of her father.

"Okay daddy, take you're time." Sam said.

Sam turned around and walked away from her father until she suddenly thought of going to her room. As she climbed the stairs, she suddenly felt a little nervous as she looked up at the top of the stairs. She was just next to Claire who was the only one who saw it. Suddenly the surroundings cooled to caress her smooth and white skin. She looked around and was caught on the side of the stairs.

"Sam, why?" Claire asked with noticeably anxious Sam.

"huh, nothing Claire. I just suddenly felt cold." Sam replied.

Her mother noticed that she seemed to be talking to someone.

"Sweety, who are you talking to?" Her mother asked.

"Nothing mom." Sam replied.

Sam went upstairs to her room. While waiting for her father she first lay down on her soft bed. Suddenly Claire appeared next to her.

"Sam, you know there's something in your house." Said Claire.

"What's is it?" Sam suddenly asked.

"I can't explain either. I feel different around me even though I'm a ghost." Claire smiled at what she said.

"Do you think our house is scary?" Sam asked.

"Oh, if you ask me that, I have nothing to say because your house is so beautiful and big. It's a pity I was dead before I got here." Claire said as she looked around Sam's room.

"If you only knew, something strange is also happening in this house so my grandmother is sleeping next to me." Sam said looking at Claire.

Their conversation stopped when the door suddenly opened and her father peeked out. Claire suddenly stepped aside even though Sam's father couldn't see her.

"Come on Sam and I'll take you to you're school." Said her father.

"Sure daddy, it's okay for you to take me even if I don't come in school?" Sam asked.

"It's okay with me as long as you don't let your grades go down." Her  father said.

"All right daddy." Sam replied.

Her father closed the door and left for the car to wait for Sam.

Sam straightened herself first and combed her hair. While busy combing her hair Claire suddenly disappeared so it disappeared from Sam's sight.

"Claire ... where are you !?" Sam looked around.

"Where else did she go?" In her mind.

When Sam looked in the mirror, the image of her reflection in the mirror suddenly changed. Her eyes darkened and glared at her as she smiled scary. Sam was scared so she threw the comb at the mirror and then ran out of her room.

When Sam got out of the room Claire became the scary image she saw in the reflection of the mirror.

"Hhahaaaha .." Claire laughed.

"She sacred." Claire said and laugh and she stepped out of the mirror.

The scary image Sam saw in the mirror was Claire’s work. It was even more ridiculous when Sam followed outside. It penetrated the door to follow its friend Sam. Sam was out of the house and in their car. Claire suddenly disappeared out of Sam's room and appeared inside the car where Sam was supposed to sit.

"Claire ....! Where did you go, huh?" Sam asked disgusted.

Sam was heard by her father.

"Who's Claire ...?" Her father asked.

"Ahhh .... Claire is my classmate I talked to on the phone." She lied as she held her cellphone to her ear.

"Ah, I thought if you see anything again." Said her father.

"You just thought it was dad." Sam said to her father.

"Close the door and we're leaving." Father's command.

Sam quietly obeyed her father's words and her father started the car after Sam closed the car door. Claire was behind of Sam.

"Pssstt ... Sam!" Claire calls.

"Why?" Sam asked.

"What happened to you earlier when I disappeared?" Claire asked as well.

" Nothing." She was lying.

"You were scared before nohhh .... You lost your speed in your room." Claire told her as she secretly laughed but Sam caught her.

"Maybe you did what scared me earlier." Sam said seriously.

Sam's father noticed again that she was talking to someone.

“Sam, are you talking to someone?” Her father asked.

"Nothing dad. I'm just memorizing something for the presentation." She will lie again.

Sam's father resumed driving. Later on while on the road the surroundings suddenly became dark.

"Why the road is it suddenly dark?" Her father asked. "

"Dad ... I'm scared." Sam was caught in her arms.

"Maybe someone's just burning." Said her father.

"It's possible that the black smoke is that thick." Sam said.

They stopped at the side of the road because they were surrounded by black smoke. Moments later the black smoke also disappeared on its own. Sam felt nervous in those moments. Losing the black smoke, her father started the car again.

"Dad, I'm nervous. It looks like something bad is going to happen." Sam said to her father.

"It's nothing, don't be afraid." Said her father.

Claire and Sam looked at each other and sat down.

They reached the school and her father dropped her off in front of the gate.

"All right Sam you go inside and I'm leaving now." Her father said.

"Okay daddy, bye .." She said to her father.

Sam entered the school and her father left to go home. There are students to be found around the school. It was afternoon when she went to school. Little noise can be heard around because of the students. Sam did not go through their classroom because her teacher might scold her. She went to the tree house at that time. When she saw it the wind suddenly blew around.

On her walk a black shadow followed her trying to enter her body but the black shadow failed. Arriving at the tree house the black shadow disappeared and at the same time Shane's soul appeared in a corner of the tree house. Her face was sad and there were traces of tears in her eyes.

"Shane, I'm sorry I couldn't stop what they planned to do to your body. Your mother doesn't want to believe me either." Said Sam.

"I expected that to happen. Our religion doesn't believe in ghosts, fairies or any other wonders. I'm still grateful to you for trying to help me." Said Shane.

"I want to help you too." Said Sam.

Suddenly Claire appeared beside them.

"Hmmm, if I can I'll ask you something." Shane said again.

"What is it?" Sam asked.

"Can I borrow your body for a moment so I can talk to my father and my mother." Shane please's of Sam.

Sam didn't answer right away and she thought first. After a while, she also agreed to what Shane wanted to do.

"All right, I agree for the peace of your soul." Sam replied.

"Thank you..You are so kind." Shane said to Sam with a big smile.

Shane has merged with Sam's body so the one controlling Sam's body now is Shane. Claire watched as the oneness of two souls in one body took place.

"Sam?" Claire asked.

Sam closed her eyes for hours when Claire asked her and when Sam opened her eyes it was Claire who was in control of the body. Shane even smiled after she entered Sam's body and she is different to look at.

Shane's fusion with Sam's body suddenly the wind blew around and Sam's hair was blown away. The fusion that took place in Sam's body was horrible as if it were not an ordinary spirit. Claire was worried about what she saw so she was worried to Sam that another spirit might have merged into Sam's body so Claire thought that maybe they were talking to a fake.

"This is Shane Claire. Sam's spirit is sleeping inside this body." Said Shane.

"What do you plan to do now?" Claire asked.

"I will talk to my parents. I want to talk to them and hug them and I want to say goodbye to them properly." Shane said.

"All right, go to your parents and I'll go with you." Claire said.

" Thank you Claire for helping me." Shane said.

Claire just smiled after Shane spoke.

They left and went to Shane's parents and they just caught up with them at their house arranging Shane's belongings. The door of the house was open when they arrived so Shane saw her mother arranging her belongings to be put in boxes. Her mother was still crying as she held her belongings.

Claire still observes Shane's actions. She always looked at it as they traveled together on the way to Shane’s parents ’house.
