Chapter 4: Tree house

It was only in the morning that the whole house was blessed.

"Ah..Father, thank you so much for taking the time to bless this house." Sam's mother was grateful to the priest.

"It's Nothing ... the important thing is that the whole house is clean and nothing will disturb you in this house." The priest answered while looking at every corner of the house.

They were going down the stairs at that time. The priest was with her parents. Her grandmother prepared food for the priest.

"Father ...!" The old man shouted.

The priest approached and Sam's parents were behind her. Sam just sat quietly and watched television in the living room.

"Please eat first as a thank you." invitation of the old woman.

"Thank you  you're still bothering." The priest said and smiled.

" It's okay father, it's just gratitude." Old woman said to the priest.

" So, let's go father." Her mom said looking to the priest.

They went to the dining room to eat together.

"Sam! Come here and eat." Her dad calls.

Sam followed and turned off the TV first and then went to the table. Everyone was happy while eating because the area around the house was clean and there were no scary spirits. When they had finished eating, they took the priest out of the house.

"Oh thanks ... I'm leaving. Thanks for the delicious food." The priest thanked them with a big smile.

"You're welcome, father." The smiling old woman replied to the priest.

The priest was leaving when her father stopped him.

"Wait Father..." Her father interrupted the priest.

The priest had not gone far when he turned to the part where his father was. Sam's father voluntarily approached the priest so that it would not be difficult for him to walk back.

"Just come with us and we'll leave. We'll just take you where you're going." Excited, her dad said to the priest.

"All right, it's ok with me so I can get to church quickly." The priest said with a smile.

"Perfect, we just near the church where we're going."

"Where are you going?" The priest asked.

"To the old old school we fixed up." Sam's dad replied.

The priest and Sam's father walked back to where they were.

"We'll go with the priest so that he won't have trouble walking and there aren't many vehicles here." Said his father.

"Sure hon ... no problem." Sam's mother said smiling.

"Just wait for me here and I'll just take the car." Sam's dad left and went to the car park to pick it up.

"I'll just take a moment inside." Her mother said goodbye to them.

They left Sam with her grandmother and priest blessing their home. They just quietly waited for her parents. Her grandmother was holding her shoulder.

"Here I am." Her mother said quickly after she closed the door.

"Peeeeeepppp ....... peeeeepppp ....." The car horn.

Their car was big, enough for eight people inside. Two in the front and six in the back.

"You're on board when we leave." Her dad said.

They all boarded. Her parents are in the front. Sam was next to the priest in the middle seat of the car. Her grandmother left and never thought of joining them.

"Ah..Father, are you okay there?" Asked her dad to the priest peering into the windshield.

"I'm just okay here." Answer of the priest.

Sam was quiet during those hours. The car started moving. They stopped at the gate. Her dad got out and opened the gate before returning to the vehicle. When they got out, her dad came down again to close the gate.

"Sorry ...." Her father said and smiled to the priest.

"It's ok, I'm just hanging out with you." The priest said.

They have not yet hired a maid to open and close the gate. They left and her dad started the car. They reached the church and the car stopped opposite.

" I'm here, thanks." Said the priest

"You're welcome father." Her mother said to the priest.

Her dad just smiled as she looked at the priest. Sam just sat quietly and stared at them.

"Dad..let's go, let's go." Sam sighed.

Her daddy just looked at her and started the car.

" Stop acting like that! Her dad said angrily.

Sam felt silent in a corner after what her dad said.

"Sweety, do you want mommy next to you?" Her mother asked.

"No mom." She refused.

She turned her gaze to the window. Sam was not very close to her parents. Only her grandmother agreed with it. While on the flight you can see gigantic trees all around giving creeps around especially at night. They had already reached the old school, because just near the church they got there quickly.

"Here you will study Sam." Said his father. It looked at him from the mirror.

"It's scary here dad." Sam said.

"You said you don't want to study here so that's how you are." Said her father again.

"No dad, so creepy here. Let's go back please." She begged.

"Sweety you have to study here because it's the only school near our house." Her mom said to her.

"No mom, please I don't want to be here." She was in tears begging.

"Stop your art, That is your punishment for not improving your studies." Her father said angrily.

Sam could do nothing but follow. She wiped a few tears from her eyes and just leaned over. Their vehicle stopped where the other vehicles were parked.

"Come down here." Her father told them.

Her mother came down first and Sam followed. Sam's father came down as well. Sam silently looked around. The silence around is frightening and you can only hear the noise of the surroundings even the wind.

"Hello sir..ma'am, I'm glad to see you." Said a teacher approaching them.

A big smile was given by the able parents. A teacher noticed of Sam.

"Your daughter?"The teacher asked.

"Yes, she's our son." Answer of her mother.

"So pretty." The teacher smiled as she looked at her.

Sam and the teacher looked at each other and she looked somewhere before.

"Come on .. follow me." Teacher's said.

They were already walking with a teacher. As they were about to enter a school room, Sam suddenly stopped.

"Mom, I'm just here." She said goodbye to her mother.

"Oh, okay, but don't go away."

"Yes mom," Her parents entered a room. Sam was left outside.

She was uncomfortable with her whereabouts so she thought of walking around. The old school is nice and tidy. There was also the frightening silence of the surroundings. On her tour her feet carried her to the back of the school where the scary tree house was. She approached the tree house slightly. Sam thought of going up to see the hut at the top but someone came.

"What are you doing?" The voice of the man behind her.

She turned to see who was speaking. A man wearing a teacher's uniform.

"Don't you see..I'm going up." She said disgusted.

The male teacher ignored Sam's gesture. Suddenly the surroundings cold coming from the height of the hut, the cold air caressing their skin giving a little fear.

"Did you know that tree house is terrifying and uplifting when you witness what's there." Teacher's explanation.

"I don't care!" He sighed again.

"You're a bad kid, where is your parents?" The teacher asked her.

"So what now and my parents are not here, they are busy now." She said.

"Maybe that's how your parents raised you." Teacher said.

"They haven't taken care of me since I was little." There was sadness on Sam's face and the teacher noticed that.

"Aren't you the daughter of the rich couple who fixed up this school?" The teacher asked him.

"Yes sir, I am and I'm sorry for the disrespectful speech." Sam's mood suddenly changed.

"That's nothing, I understand what you're going through." The teacher smiled at him.

While Sam was busy talking to the teacher, her mother was looking for her.

"Where did that girl go?"

Her mother walked and toured the school.

"I told her don't go away, stubbornness." Annoyed her mother said.

Sam's mother walked and walked until she found where young Sam was.

"Sweety ......!" Mother's call.

She looked at her mother's whereabouts.

"Baby, let's go." Her mother said to approach her and her mother ignored the teacher because she was in a hurry.

She approached her mother. Sam looked at the teacher again and could no longer speak. As they left Sam looked at the tree house again. Eventually someone whispered to her. Suddenly her vision rolled and weakened until he lost consciousness. The teacher caught her when he noticed that Sam was about to fall.

"Thank you." Mother thanks the teacher.

"you're welcome madam." Teacher replied.

The teacher carried of Sam.

"Come let's get her in the car" Her mother said.

They had already taken Sam to where their car was. When they arrived, they made Sam sit down to get ready her  father came.

"What happened to make her unconscious?" Her dad asked.

"I don't know either, she suddenly passed out." Answer of her mother.

Her father went to the front of the car and sat down. They waited for their daughter to wake up before they left.

"She's awake." Said the noticed teacher.

Her mother scolded Sam. The teacher left for a while to get some water. When the teacher arrived, he immediately handed the mineral water to the child's mother.

"This, just give her some water and she'll be ok." The teacher handed her the mineral water he was holding.

"Okay thank you." Thanks to her mother.

Her mother gave Sam water to make it ok. The teacher said goodbye and left.

"Sam what happened to you?" Asked her father worried.

"I don't know daddy, all of a sudden my eyesight rolled and I fainted."

"I told you not to go away. You disobeyed me again." Disgusted his mother said.

Sam suddenly fell silent and looked out of the car. She had already closed the car door.

"Let's go home. Are you going anywhere else?" Her father asked.

"Nothing, hon." Answer of her mother.

Sam didn't say a word and was silent in a corner. Her mother moved to the front next to his father and her parents looked at each other as they noticed their daughter's sad face in the mirror.

"Sweety do you want to eat or go somewhere before we go home?" Mother's question.Sam couldn't speak right away.

"No mom." Sam said sadly.

Her father had already started the car and was driving it away from school. Sam is still thinking about what happened to her those moments while they were on the flight. A question in her mind was what was in that tree house but she would not try to climb because of the fear he felt and any bad energy from the hut at the top of the tree or tree house.
