ALEJANDRO

“I’m punishing you Lucia…” my voice was sharp.

Her eyes widened at my words, and I saw blood drain from her face. Her whole body tensed up and froze underneath me.

A smile slowly crept to the corner of my lips as I stared down at her frightened figure. I led her up to my red room, not just because I wanted to punish her. It was also to break her ego, to strip her of her arrogance.

I wanted to instill fear in her. Don’t get me wrong, I love her feistiness. In fact, I simp for it.

But…

ALEJANDRO The moment I left Lucia, I was back in my room glancing through paperworks, not because i wanted to but because i couldn’t get my mind off what the fuck I just did.My thoughts rallied with questions about why I did what I did. Why did I apologize to her right at that moment?I never planned to.The instant I saw her walk through the dining room and into the kitchen, all I had in mind was to question her about why she skipped dinner. But right then, when she spoke about how vulnerable she felt in that room, something in me snapped. And I let those words out. I sighed and leaned back into my reclined chair, my hand fixed to the back of my head. My eyes locked on the papers scattered on the table for a few seconds and I used my free hand to toss it away further.I knew there wasn’t anything important I was doing on there. My eyes were initially just fixed on it because I couldn't get the thought out of my head. My head slumped backwards and my eyes closed. The scene in the

LUCIAI tried to move back but I felt his hand grope the side of my waist and pull me closer to him. My body stiffened.“Wh…what are you doing Alejandro?” I said as I tried to push myself out of his grip. His grip tightened around my waist and he pulled me closer, closer than I should be around him.“Why do you keep speaking to me in that manner, Piccola?” He asked, staring right at me.~Little one.Directly into my soul. For a moment, I forgot that I was supposed to be angry at him. I forgot I was supposed to hate him and rain curses on him. Instead, I was captivated by his golden brown eyes that lurked on me.“I…i…i” I tried to speak, to let out words, but nothing was coming out.It was like my tongue had been tied.He took his eyes off my eyes and down to my lips then back up. “Speak” he muttered in the most calmest way ever. And I obeyed. I didn’t know why, I just did.“I…i…i don’t understand what you are talking about” I finally said, but right after those words, I slowly started

LUCIA HOURS LATER~EVENING A call from the landline aggressively woke me up. My body became conscious before my brain even did. I sprang up from my bed and blindly threw my hands to the phone on the nightstand. I picked it up and absentmindedly placed it to my ear. I let out a sleepy groan. “Signora Lucia? Dinner is ready?” Miguel’s voice sounded from the other side. My brain seemed to come back to its setting at those words. I slowly opened my eyes and looked outside. The world was already dark. What time was it and how long have I been sleeping? “Hmm?” “Signora? I said dinner is ready” he repeated, probably thinking that I didn’t hear him the first time. I was about to tell him that I was coming downstairs when my mind rewinded to what happened hours earlier. My face formed a frown. There was no way I was going down for dinner. I didn’t want to see him at all. “I’m not coming down for dinner Miguel,” I said coldly. “Ms. Lucia…” Miguel was about to say some

LUCIAI placed the frame back the way I saw it and walked away. I still couldn’t understand why I felt that way in particular, but I soon ignored it. Maybe it was just something my mind didn’t like. I shouldn’t think about it too much.Yeah, that was it. It was just a picture of Alejandro and his wife, it wasn’t anything to be worried about. I walked over to the bed and folded the blanket neatly the way I saw it when I hurriedly picked it up. I adjusted the bed sheet neatly and proceeded to look around his room before I left. My gaze drifted around the room for a few seconds. The decor of Alejandro's room was far different from mine. Everything was gray. The walls, the sheet, even the tiled floor was grayish white. It was like that was his favorite color. The only thing that stood out in a different color was the wooden colored night stand table that sat beside his bed. He had a huge TV that was fixed on the wall directly in front of his bed and a shelf of old boring books by the

LUCIAMy eyes slowly flickered open as I took in my view. My eyes darted from left to right trying to figure out what was happening or what happened. The last thing I remembered was being chained tightly on a bed, and now I was in an unfamiliar room. I knew this definitely wasn’t my room because of the strange decor, nor was it the red room I thought I should be in because of the aesthetics. I tried to sit up, but the moment I did, I felt a throbbing pain shoot through my head. “Argh!” I groaned as I took my hand to my head. I laid down immediately because it was like the more I attempted to sit upright, the more the pain became terrible. What the fuck happened? I looked around again and that was when I took notice of him, and immediately everything started flooding back. The moment he left me there all alone, the chain, the heat, the sweat that trickled down my tensed face. What was he doing here? I frowned. He was the last person I wanted to see after what he put me through.

ALEJANDRO TWENTY MINUTES LATER.My hands skimmed through the paperwork I was currently attending to. I groaned as this was the last thing I wanted to use my free time to do but I knew I didn't have a choice. Going through the records weekly was the only way to check on everything and know whichever business was going south. I had turned off the footage to the red room for a few minutes to concentrate fully. I couldn’t do that initially, not with her screams and curses echoing loudly in my study room. My sole focus was to get this paperwork done and over with as soon as possible so I could rest. Although I was the leader of all the businesses surrounding me, I still had to do a bit of work here and there, checking records and seeing if they were up to date or if someone has been tampering with my accounts, and stealing my money. This happened some years back, where a man who worked as one of my accountants attempted to steal a large sum of money from me thinking I wouldn't notice.
