Chapter Thirty-eight

Bernard sighed and leaned back in his chair. A sick smile twisted his face as he stared at the man laying on the floor before him. His eyes pierced the man with a sinister glare. 

“Please,” He groaned. 

“I hired you to do a job. So far you’re failing miserably at said job. What should I do with you now?” He hummed, ignoring the man’s pleading to let him go. “I mean you haven’t really brought me anything of value now have you?” He hissed. 

“But-” The man's whimpers turned into groans and screams of pain as Bernard stomped on his mangled fingers. 

“Please!” He begged, trying to pull his hand away.
