Chapter Thiry-seven

Dex waited for her to finish burping Aife before she laid her down in the bassinet next to her bed. When they were certain that she was asleep Dex sat down next to her on the bed. He wrapped her in his arms and held her. He sighed as she stared up at him tearfully.

“I haven’t told you about my family but if it will help then I’m willing to.” He said, softly. 

“You don’t have to do that.” She whispered. 

“I want you to understand that you’re not alone in this.” He said, pressing a kiss to the top of her head absentmindedly. 

“Okay.” She mumbled as a blush creeped up her cheeks.
