Laurette POV

I frowned in pain, I looked at him inexplicably, "Why am I dissatisfied, theoretically, I've been promoted, artist director is more promising than secretary."

I was telling the truth, the artist director's annual salary was several times higher than that of the secretary.

What's more, the artist director still has a share. Bryce sneered, and said mockingly, "You can see clearly."

"Boss Bryce trusts me so much, I will work hard and diligently, so as not to let Boss Bryce down."

I pretended not to hear the tension in his words, and quickly flattered him, trying not to touch his sore spot.

Bryce heard me speak in a high-sounding manner, he snorted coldly, and let go of the hand that was holding me.

"Going back to Bryce's house at night, what should I say and what should not be said, don't I need to teach you again?" My heart trembled.

Whenever I thought of going back to Bryce's house, I would face being given birth by Mrs. Ava, and I couldn't stop my stomach cramps.

"I know," I bit my lower lip, but.. wouldn't it be good for us to hide it from them?"

Bryce's face darkened, and a terrible low pressure suddenly exuded from his body,

"If you had thought about them, you wouldn't have done such shameless things back then, Laurette, why do you think I put up with you for so many years?"

My face was pale, and it was nothing more than murder.

I knew that I had always been a sinner in his eyes, not only because I accidentally lost the child, but also because I had caused a great humiliation to his masculinity.

If killing people is not against the law, he probably wants to cut me into pieces.

In order to get revenge on me, he did not hesitate to endure his nausea and entangled with me for nearly five years.

I lowered my head and tried to force back the tears in my eyes. I said softly, "You don't have to bear it. For a person like me, it would be better if you just treat it like a handful of sand and raise it?"

"I need you to teach me how to do things?"

Bryce could not hide his disgust in his black eyes, and he pressed against my ear, whispering like a devil.

"Laurette, you disgust me with him, how could I let you go, let you stay and fly together, you have a good idea!"

Tears rolled down my eyes unexpectedly, I raised my face and looked at him, "Bryce, have you never believed me?"

Bryce lowered his eyes faintly, his curled eyelashes blocked the deep emotion in his eyes.

He stared at my slender neck, and for a moment, he wished he could break my neck.

This woman made his life a joke.

"I only trust my eyes!" He said firmly.

I looked away in embarrassment, as if a big hole had been dug in my heart.

If I hadn't gone to the class reunion that day and hadn't drank that glass of wine... I wouldn't have ended up like this.

But if it's just if, the thing has already happened, no matter how many times I regret it, it won't help.

Me and Bryce will never return to the peaceful time in the past.

"Why bother?"

His white moonlight is coming back, since he has already vacated the place beside him, why not just turn me into his ex-wife?

Could it be that his hatred for me has surpassed his love for Irene?

How could I let him be cold-faced, hate me, imprison himself by my side, and torture us both?

Bryce pinched my chin, word by word, like a blunt knife cutting my heart and lungs, "Because you two scumbags and bitches don't deserve happiness!"

I whimpered, and the tears fell more urgently.

"Take back your tears!"

Bryce ordered, pinching my chin even harder, his eyes were as cold as a knife, "I'm not dead yet, I don't need you to cry."

I was so frightened that tears rolled in my eyes, but I didn't dare to drop another drop.

The man's gloomy expression made me frightened, and I couldn't help hiccupping.

Bryce looked at the fear of him in my eyes, and he was upset for a while, so he withdrew his hand suddenly and strode out of the elevator.

I quickly wiped away my tears, and followed quickly. Bryce was in a bad mood today.

It could be seen from the fact that he couldn't leave his cigarette after getting into the car.

The driver was driving in front, and he looked in the rearview mirror from time to time.

"Young Master, smoking is harmful to your health. You should smoke less, and let Madam smell the smoke when you go back, it's time to blame you again."

The driver Brooks is an old man of the Rodriguez family, and Bryce usually respects him very much.

If it were someone else, he would not dare to control him.

Bryce was sitting in the back seat and puffing, he was very upset, especially the person who upset him was sitting next to him.

He glanced over from the corner of his eye, and I huddled by the car door, avoiding him like a snake.

How scary is he?

"Uncle Brooks, it's okay, I can't die." Bryce said lightly.

"You young people just don't know taboos, and talk about whether you are dead or not all day long, young lady, please persuade young master."

Uncle Brooks couldn't persuade himself, so he pulled me into the water.

I glanced at Bryce's in fear, and said slowly: "Bryce, you should smoke less, it's not good for your health."

Bryce has always been used to going his own way, and he especially likes to play against me.

Brooks asked me to persuade him to smoke less, and he was basically forcing him to smoke himself like a chimney.

I expected that he would not listen to me, and would mock me for asking me to mind my own business, but I did not expect him to be obedient and put out the cigarette in the ashtray.

I thought, So scary!

When had he heard me talk?

I stared at him blankly, and suddenly he was smiling.

I felt even more flustered, and then Bryce smiled coldly. Someone must be in trouble again.

And that person must be me.

I huddled myself into a ball, trembling with fear, a man's cold snort suddenly came from his ear,

"Here we are, get out of the car."

Only then did I realize that the car had parked in the Rodriguez family's manor, I quickly got out of the car and followed Bryce to the villa.

Mrs. Ava came out to welcome him, smelling the pungent smell of smoke from Bryce's body, she frowned and looked at him with disgust: "Why is the smell of smoke so strong?"

"I just smoked one." Bryce said lightly.

"Didn't I tell you to quit smoking?"

Mrs. Ava said displeased, " Howard Louis and his wife quit smoking and drinking before they got pregnant. Look how beautiful and healthy their baby is."

Bryce couldn't hear the word "Louis", and there was a word Louis between his brows, "You like Howard Louis so much, why don't you bring Nico back to raise him?"

"I want to hug, will he give it?" Mrs. Ava was so angry that she patted him on the back hard, and the crisp applause felt painful.

"Besides, how can someone else's grandson have his own fragrance?"

As she said that, she glanced at me standing behind Bryce, "I heard that you went to the hospital for an examination last night, how is it?"

My heart skipped a beat, I subconsciously looked at Bryce, seeing that he was also looking at me with a threatening look in his eyes, I murmured: "It's okay."

I didn't want to lie to Mrs. Ava, but if I dared to tell the truth, when I stepped out of this door, Bryce would definitely strangle me to death without hesitation.

Mrs. Ava had no doubts, and said: "That's good. Today, your aunt Salome and I went to a famous old traditional doctor to pick up some traditional medicines for health care. They have been fried. Serve it hot, you must drink it."

I pursed my lips, and when I passed by Bryce, I subconsciously glanced at him, and Bryce looked at me expressionlessly.

There was an indescribably weird look in his eyes, as if he was saying: Laurette, you have already lied, so you can enjoy the evil consequences of lying.

Bryce stood in front of Carlson with an attitude of ruling the world, naturally not missing the joy on the young man's face. He didn't admit that he was a little jealous, arrogantly nodded his head, and then walked past him into the director's office. Seeing Laurette's smile that hadn't disappeared from the corner of her mouth, he frowned and said, "Don't laugh at others for no reason." She could put on a stern face at home, but she smiled brightly when she came out. Was he a ferocious beast that would devour people? When Laurette's saw him, her smile froze on her face. She said lightly, "Is my smile bothering you?" His original intention was that she looked too good when she smiled, and he was afraid that someone like Carlson wouldn't be able to resist her charm. If he had any other thoughts about her, it would be troublesome. But being retorted by Laurette, he couldn't come up with a response. His face was even more terrifying than a thunderstorm. "Laurett

Laurette's mind exploded with fireworks. Just as she was about to push him away, Bryce bit her lips hard. "Hiss..." Laurette sucked in a breath of cold air in pain. She glared at the culprit and was handed a bowl of medicine. "It's bitter. Take the bowl and wash it." Was he a devil? Laurette carried the bowl and walked to the kitchen, feeling annoyed. After a few steps, she suddenly realized that she had just been forcefully kissed by Bryce. She turned back to look at him. The man was wiping his hair with a towel and Swaggered into the bedroom. Laurette was speechless. She walked into the kitchen and stood by the sink, washing the bowl absentmindedly. As she washed, she drifted off into her thoughts. They had just kissed, and although his sharp tongue often spat hurtful words, his lips were surprisingly soft. Unconsciously, she stuck out her tongue and licked her lips, only to immediately furrow her brows in disgust. "It's bitter." Laurette returned

Five years ago at this time was a delicate moment, and Bryce couldn't help but think more about it. Looking at Laurette's eyes at this moment, it was as if there was a flame of expectation burning within them. Laurette pushed him, but he didn't move. There were footsteps passing by outside the door, and Laurette heard Beatrice's voice. She turned her head and remembered what Irene had said earlier about her first kiss in high school. Her heart felt sour, and she spoke with a bit of sarcasm, "Some people had their first kiss in high school while in a relationship. I wonder who was so lucky." Bryce was stunned, but a smile gradually filled his eyes. He raised his hand and pinched her chin, looking down at her sour and jealous face with increasing joy. "Laurette," Bryce suddenly called out her name. Bryce squinted her eyes and waited for him to continue. Bryce leaned in close to her ear and whispered, "The way you are now, I would think you're jealous." He said

Smith Kane sat next to them, feeling a certain atmosphere that no outsider could penetrate. He saw Bryce gazing at Laurette like a madman and covered his face with his hand. He couldn't bear to watch. Others noticed it too, and they all looked at Irene with sympathetic eyes. Irene was so angry that she almost bit her teeth off. Beatrice, who was a die-hard fan of Irene, stood up and suggested, "Drinking like this is boring. Why don't we play Truth or Dare?" Laurette raised an eyebrow. Truth or Dare, isn't that just causing trouble? After everyone had eaten, they moved to the sofa on the side and sat in a circle. After changing seats, Irene squeezed next to Bryce and looked at him with a slightly drunk expression. She said softly, "Bryce, are you okay?" Bryce nodded to indicate that he was fine. Irene said, "l'll pour you a cup of tea. Tea can relieve the effects of alcohol and make you feel better." Laurette sat on the other side of Bryce and heard this. Sh

Laurette stared at the man in front of her, and she had to admit that he was really good-looking. He had a pair of peach blossom eyes that contained autumn waves, with upturned corners, and a charming shape. His facial features were handsome and straight, and upon closer inspection, he even had a pointed chin. He usually had a strong aura, and few people dared to look directly at his face. Even Laurette only realized it today, and she shook her head to clear her mind. Bryce let go of her and stood up straight, adjusting his collar. "Get up, let's go." Laurette picked up her bag and stood up. The dinner was ruined by him, and she didn't need to stay here anymore. She followed Bryce out of the private room. The corridor was very quiet, with autumn maple leaves painted by a painter on both sides of the walls. The artistic conception was beautiful, like strolling in the autumn scenery, very romantic. Laurette followed closely behind him and noticed that he w

Laurette stood up. "Our business is done here, Miss Irene can leave now, " she said. Irene was furious and stormed out of the room. Shortly after, Carlson came in with some files and saw Laurette rubbing her temples. "Director Laurette, did you have another argument with Miss Irene?" he asked. Laurette lowered her arms. "It's nothing. Give me the files," she said. Carlson handed her the files and followed her to her desk. "Director Laurette, I've arranged a dinner with the PR director of Elite's tonight at Tasty Pavilion at 7 pm, " he said. Laurette remembered that before falling ill, he had to meet with Director to change their spokesperson. Her illness had delayed the process. "Okay," she said. "Also..." Carlson reported an hour's worth of work progress. After he left, Lau
