Chapter Forty Nine

“I thought I heard it wrong. I've been a big fan of yours for a very long time. You know me right? I'm Alexia Algernon. ” Alexia kept on grinning from ear to ear. She took a few steps toward Tina and touched her hand. She looked up at Tina trying to decipher whatever she was thinking.

Tina stared at the girl in front of hr with a smile. “ Hey Alexia, I don't recall meeting you. How about you tell me more about yourself.”

Alexia smiled happily. “ You must know Alyssa right? Alyssa is my sister. ”

Tina's face turned ashen. She gripped the bedspread tightly. “ Alyssa? Who is that? ”

“ Quinn Winters wife. ” That was when Alexia noticed Tina's face. She hurriedly waved her hands at Tina. “ I'm very sorry about what my sister did. I'll try to make her leave Mr. Winters.”

Tina shook her head. “ This is adults business. Are you also admitted?”

Alexia nodded. “ Yeah. My illness is complicated but the only obvious one is short bowel syndrome. My surgery date is still far in the future. ”
