Be a grandma

Erica didn’t expect that at all, she thought they would actually yell at her.

Everyone around eyes went wide open, they were all stunned by Aurelio’s words.

“She’s pregnant? Carrying a baby for the almighty Aurelio?” a maid gasped

Aurelio Father walked to Erica with a broad smile on his face and spread his arms wide open to welcome her with a hug.

Her eyes went wide open the moment she was wrapped up in Mr Bertram’s arm.

She had never imagined this would happen, not even thought she would be welcomed into a family like this.

“Dad what about mom?” Aurelio asked his father

“She would be here soon” he replied as he pulled away from the hug and then Mr Maynard walked to Erica taking her by her hands.

Aurelio stepped aside with a smile to look at them, off course his parents has no option but to accept her.

“Now I want all ears listening” Mr Maynard demanded.

The maids around gathered themselves and the guards around did same.

Mr Maynard looked around and could see them, then he cleared his throat before he spoke up.

“Standing here is Erica, you know how important she is to my grandson, From now on she would be staying here with him. I believe you heard what my grandson had said. She is carrying my great grandchild, henceforth she deserves respect from everyone in this building, outside the building, those unborn and even the dead” he said.

Erica wasn’t just surprised this was coming from him.

She began to imagine what she did to get this all

“ I don’t want her to be stressed and if she complains about anyone of you here, you would have to pay for it. She is my daughter henceforth, to those of you in charge of her meals, make sure she gets to eat the best for her good and the baby, and to those in charge of her wears, make sure she looks good all the time and I hope you know what I mean by that, the best designers and outfits should be filled in her walk-in closet, the guards in charge of her security, nothing must happen to her when you are around because I won’t listen to no apology and to you Aurelio, in charge of her account and everything that has to do with her… I trust you know what to do” Mr Maynard ordered.

“ Yes sir!” the maids said in unison and the guards said so too bowing their head.

“But Sir, isn’t that too much?” Erica whispered.

He chuckled and shook his head “Aurelio, tell her more about me. As long as you are part of me, it is never enough dearie” He replied.

Erica smiled as she bowed her head slightly and then she raised her head locking eyes with Aurelio.

“You’ve heard it all, resume your duties” Mr Bertram said to them and watch everyone leave one by one.

“Ma’am, your bath is ready” A maid said to her.

“Hmm?” Erica asked her confused a little bit

Aurelio chuckled and walked to her “Should I join you in the tub?” he smiled at her raising a brow at her.

Erica scoffed, she could hear some whispers behind.

“Aww Mr Aurelio is so romantic”

“I see she really made you change” His father said to him with a low laugh

“No worries hmm? I’ll go shower right away” Erica faked a smile at him and tapped his shoulders before she walked away.

“Let me lead you please” a maid said to her.

Erica smiled at her and tagged behind her to the room while Aurelio watched her without taking his eyes off her.

“Goodness Aurelio!?” his father laughed out seeing his son smiling at Erica.

“You don’t even smile at your mom this way, I really feel good we brought that challenge up, if not I know what you would have still be doing now” His father raised his brows at him.

“Honestly I wanted to give the position to you right away but I thought of having some fun, that’s why I joined thoughts with your father and brought it up, and look at you today! I am so proud of you” his grandpa replied

Aurelio turned around to look at the both of them and shook his head before he took his seat.

“But still I wonder how you met her” his grandpa replied.

Erica was walking along the hallway looking at the beautiful portraits on the wall. Everything about the mansion was just beautiful. “you can stop here, I’ll take over from here” Rowan said to the maid.

Erica looked to see Rowan standing before her just few inches away from her.

She folded her hands and wore a blank look. The maid bowed her head at Erica before she left.

“Rowan?”

“I know you would be mad at me, I am sorry to never told you before now, I was doing it all for your good. I am sorry but I never lied to you about anything” he said

“I just didn’t tell you all” he added with his head low

Erica said nothing but pouted her lips “I am sorry ma’am”

“Ma’am?” She laughed and walked to him

“Don’t call me ma’am! And besides I am not mad at you, I understand everything and thanks a lot for that night” she said to him

“I am happy I could do something that night, and it’s my job to. I can’t call you Erica you should know, Mr Maynard would punish me for it” Rowan laughed lowly

“oh that, we can be casual when we are alone” Erica replied with a shrug

“I guess” Rowan shrugged while she laughed out lowly.

“let me take you to your room” he gestured her and she left tagging behind him.

About minutes later, she arrived at her room and pushed the door open.

“thanks a lot” she said to Rowan and watched him bow before he left.

Erica sighed as she closed the door and went into the room.

She smiled as she looked round the room and made her way to the bathroom since she could still identify it.

She stepped in further into the bathroom and took slow steps to the tub ignoring the jacuzzi tub she was seeing and went for the bathtub instead.

Erica slowly took off her clothes and dropped where she had stood.

She dipped her hands into the water and could feel it was warm, just the way she loves her water to be.

On a small side glass table beside the tub was different body wash for her to use, a smile appeared on her face as she stepped into the pool and slowly leaned back feeling the water above her chest.

Her eyes went close slowly as her head rested back.

“Mrs Aurelio?” she thought and smiled

“Unborn baby?” she thought

“I will not take this family for granted, I feel anew and I am happy I did not think of aborting my baby, this pregnancy has brought me joy!”

Aurelio was still seated with his parents in the living room.

His grandpa asked him how he met Erica and he had told him in the hotel and that was how they had that night.

“You know her parents?” his father asked. Aurelio paused and looked at his father “why are you asking?” he replied with a side smile

“I am just curious, she’s such a wonderful woman. I can see that already so I was wondering how her parents are” his father replied

Aurelio scoffed as he shook his head “They are nothing like her, they abandoned her in Texas so she had to come over to Los Angeles” he replied

“What the! Have any idea of their identity?” Mr Maynard asked

“What are you planning to do? Attack them?” Aurelio asked immediately

“please don’t, I want everything to go slowly and smoothly. They will definitely find out her new life and I am sure they will come pleading to her. Especially her father” he replied

His father looked at his grandpa and back at Aurelio.

“if you say so, I might give that man a punch if he dares hurt her with his words” Mr Maynard replied and then the door went open revealing Aurelio’s mom.

She stood by the door in a Versace gown and a Gucci scarf around her neck.

She held her black channel sunglasses in her fingers as she slowly took it off her eyes looking as elegant as always.

“And where is my son?” she asked no one in particular

“Mom!” Aurelio exclaimed as he got up from his seat and rushed to her to pull her in for a hug.

“Do you always have to be childish?” she laughed as she returned the hug.

“its just been months not years Aurelio” Mr Maynard laughed and then he pulled away.

“Camila darling, welcome back. You should have called me to come pick you from the airport” Mr Bertram said as he walked to her and pulled her in for a kiss.

Aurelio rolled his eyes at them and sat back down.

“Where are your bags?” Mr Maynard asked her.

She pulled away from the kiss to reply him “I sent them to the mansion, I came to see my son” she replied holding just a Vogue bag in her hands.

“Why were you looking that way at her huh? Don’t you have Erica already!” Mr Maynard asked Aurelio.

His Mom turned to him raising a brow “am I missing something? Who is that? Don’t tell me my son is still sleeping around!” she dramatically gasped grabbing her head.

“what no mom!” Aurelio replied immediately raising his hands at her.

“No, he is a man now.. a father to be” Mr Maynard replied

“honey…what am I hearing?” Mrs Bertram asked her husband

“Our son here has gotten a lady pregnant, not just a lady but his own woman pregnant” he replied her as her eyes went wide.

“where is she???”

Erica stepped out of the bathroom in her towels and could see a blue dress was waiting for her on a chair.

“Are they now picking my dress?” she laughed and went to check it out to see it was an off shoulder gown. A pretty one .

“Nice one” she smiled and sat by the dressing table to dress up.

Most of the colognes she was seeing was mostly for men.

She shrugged and used his body lotion and style her hair in a ponytail before she picked up her dress to put on.

Erica then reached for his body spray and didn’t hesitate to use it.

She returned back to the bathroom to return the towel she had used and as soon as she was done, she left the room.

Aurelio sat next to his mom crossing his hands around her shoulder as he answered her questions.

“so you mean, you have a woman already?” she asked him

“ I kept repeating that to you” Mr Maynard said to her.

“I just want to get it into my head more properly father!” Mrs Camila whined as she shook like a baby.

Erica was already down the stairs and could see them.

She wondered who that woman could be

“Oh she is here” Aurelio said as he stood up and his mom did same too.

She stared at Erica from her head to her toe as she took slow steps to her.

Erica could tell she was Aurelio’s mom since she could see the resemblance and then she greeted her with a slight bow.

“What if she doesn’t like me?” she thought

“Are you Erica?” his mom asked her immediately

“Yes…I am” Erica replied clearly scared and Aurelio could notice that.

“Mom you are scaring my pumpkin!” Aurelio groaned as he walked to Erica and wrapped his hands around her from behind.

Erica turned to look at him with a questioning look on her face, Aurelio gave her a cute smile instead and then she turned to look at his mom.

“Are you really carrying my son’s baby?” she asked her obviously displaying how happy she was.

“yes ma’am” Erica replied

“he said he would be responsible for the baby, I wanted to take care of it alone but—” she trailed off

“Why would you ‘wanted to’ when you have us??” his mom exclaimed

“Oh my goodness! I am gonna be a Grandma!!” she exclaimed as she pulled Erica to a hug immediately.
