His words rang continuously in my ears. My vision remained blurry for the rest of the night. The transportation was so difficult. I totally sprung awake when we arrived at the Stone Creek pack. Surprisingly, Arianna was alive, and she wasn't bound like the rest of us. My heart pounded hard when I saw her whispering words to Alpha Harrison. He was smiling, slicing an apple with a knife and eating as Arianna spoke to him. My stomach growled with disgust and I felt like I'd vomit. “You all are welcome to the Stone Creek pack.” Someone else said, standing before the omegas that had been brought. I knew everyone that was tied, but I barely spoke with them. I was always secluded in the pack because I was too good to be spoken with, and too horrible to be anywhere else. What could Arianna be doing with him? Did she sell the pack out? Did she start this bout of madness? Is she the one that has caused me so much trouble? Or maybe he just wants to make her his Luna? I thought to myself. Arianna had always been the prettier one. She had a slimmer body, but with curves that'd make any man look twice at her and drool. She would wink at men, and they'd be falling at her feet. I always imagined what it must be like to have such beauty. “You will do the dishes in the morning, clean the room you're assigned to and…” the same person kept on instructing us on what to do. The air felt fresh although they seemed to be cold blooded killers, and for a while, it felt like I'd have a good life in this place. “Now rise, you will be led to the place where you would…” he was saying when the Alpha cut him off. “Bring that one here.” He growled, pointing at me. I immediately got weak in my knees, unable to properly process my thoughts. Did he just ask that I should be brought to him? I had no strength, and fear overtook me. “Which one, Alpha?” He asked, looking at every single one of us. “That one with long hair and a battered face.” Alpha Harrison said. We all had battered faces due to the intense struggle and tortures that we usually go through, but out of everyone one of us, he had no trouble singling me out. He pulled me by my hair, and dragged me over to Alpha Harrison who wasn't looking. “Jupiter, you have to be more careful about the way you handle ladies.” He hissed, pushing Jupiter off me. In my books, that had to be the most anyone ever cared about me. “Is she the one?” He asked Arianna, and I bent my head low, whimpering. Fear gripped my heart at the question. Arianna had never been up to any good. “Yes, she is.” Arianna hissed, and I could hear the disgust that came from her voice. “Take her to the torture room, I'll like to have a moment with her.” Alpha Harrison said. The word torture made my head ring loudly. I could barely hear anything after that. Why did it have to be when I was so close to escaping and living my life out in peace? Jupiter picked me up and was about to drag me out. I decided to speak up this time and beg for my life. “Please.” I begged, forcing myself off Jupiter's grip. “I swear I didn't do whatever she said I did.” “I'm very obedient, and I can do whatever chore you want me to do.” My voice broke, and tears rolled down my eyes. I can't go through whatever level of pain it is that he has planned in his head. Alpha Harrison chuckled. I looked up at Arianna’s face, and she eyed me maliciously. I wondered why she had chosen to hate me so much when I had done nothing wrong in particular. Alpha Harrison bent over, finishing off the apple. He passed over the knife to his right hand, and his grip on the knife strengthened. “Why do you think I've commanded that you should be taken to the torture room?” He asked, running his hand through my hair. “Because she must have lied against me.” I said, wiping my tears off. I started shaking and whimpering when he started caressing my face with the blunt side of the knife. He moved his hand so slowly that it became very creepy. “What lie do you think she told?” He said, now slicing the blunt side against my skin. I swallowed down in fear as my chest heaved and my body shook. “That I… I… spilled… spilled… acid in her bath… to… to… hurt her?” I muttered and he chuckled. “You did that?” He cackled, turning to look at Arianna. “She did that?” “Yes, she did.” Arianna said bluntly. “No, I didn't!” I snapped since my life was on the line. “You might have fooled your parents, but you can't fool me.” Alpha Harrison laughed. “I've listened to your heartbeats, and she didn't spill acid in your bath, and if anything, you spilled it in hers, and then accused her.” “Okay, you caught me.” Arianna said, rolling her eyes and folding her arms. “I love that kind of evil.” He cackled again. “What then did she say?” I whimpered as tears welled up in my eyes. “That you are the one thing I detest the most in the world and would give my whole life to destroy.” He growled. “An omega?” I asked, and he cackled, shaking his head. “Worse… a rogue!” He snapped, and my legs shook. “I've barely been a rogue for a day.” I cried. “I can work in your pack, please…” “Whether a day, or a year, or ten years, you are still a rogue!” He snapped, turning the knife to its sharp side. “Please…” I begged as tears rolled down my eyes. Alpha Harrison stood up without cutting me, and then he sighed. “The full moon is in two days.” He chuckled. “You will be mated with by the strong ones in the pack, and when you get pregnant,” He paused, letting my thoughts wander around as I imagined the horrific words that'd proceed from his mouth next. “I will kill you and whatever little evil bastard is inside you.” He said, and my stomach gurgled. My heart dropped to my stomach, and my vision darkened. “Take her to the torture room!” Alpha Harrison commanded. Arianna spitefully walked towards me as Jupiter yanked me up. “One way or another, I will be the end of you.” She whispered in my ears.Sorren’s POV I walked around the room as Mark took care of Mira. We were about to leave the library when she suddenly changed. She had been stabilized, but Mark hadn't found a root cause for whatever was happening to her. “Alpha.” Khalid muttered, walking into the room. “What is it?” I asked, walking closer to him. “Lady Selina wants to see you.” Khalid muttered. I glanced at Mira’s body on the bed, wondering how she was feeling. Earlier, I just couldn't take the thought that someone else had made her laugh. It made me feel weird. I turned to look at Mark, who was checking her out. “Send me an update as soon as she's fine.” I demanded. “I will, Alpha.” he growled, and I left the room with Khalid. My mind was drawn to Nia and the dilemma she was apparently in. “What do you think I should do?” I asked, folding my arms as I slowed down my pace. Khalid took a deep breath, very knowledgeable about my relationship with Nia and how vulnerable I seemed to be around her. “Whatever
Mira’s POV I watched Alpha Sorren drag Luna Nia away. Knots formed in my stomach, and I felt like vomiting at the sight, but I remained calm. I took the book I was reading the last time, and thankfully, I still had my pencil on me. I found a place to sit, wondering what business Alpha Sorren had with Luna Nia. I was using my pencil to continue what I was doing. I didn't realize that Khalid had crept in on me and was standing right behind me. “What are you drawing?” His voice jolted me, causing me to jump. The book flew out of my hands, and the pencil fell. Khalid chuckled as I grabbed the book and hugged it. “I'm sorry.” I muttered fearfully.“No, I'm sorry.” Khalid chuckled, walking closer. He had his seat beside me. “I startled you. What are you drawing?”I swallowed hard, unsure of what to say as I could be punished. “I'm sorry.” I muttered. “I can erase everything I've drawn.” “No, Mira.” Khalid rolled his eyes, making himself comfortable beside me.He stretched out his hand
Sorren’s POV I spent the whole night on guard since the hunters didn't come close. Thankfully, Selina was at peace with me, nor bothering about the stupid words Harrison had uttered. My mind was filled with chaos, moving from Selina to Nia to Mira. Mira had the most time in my headspace. I was annoyed that she'd let her younger sister trample on her that much that she was so scared of her. “Alpha? Do you think the hunters would be back?” Peter asked, jolting me out of my thoughts.“Well, I think so.” I sighed, folding my arms. “If they don't attack tonight, it'd be because they know of Harrison’s presence.” “So, what do you want us to do?” Khalid asked, awaiting instructions. “I'll figure it out.” I said, like my mind wasn't already filled with thoughts of three women.“I'll stay on guard, Alpha.” Khalid whispered to me. “You should get some sleep.”“I will. I just need some fresh air.” I sighed.“Is it because Luna Nia is here?” Khalid asked, and I shot him a glare, forcing him
Mira’s POV Alpha Sorren looked disturbed, although my current dilemma was being at that table, and the most horrible comment Alpha Harrison had made that'd probably put me in a lot of trouble with Lady Selina. “I'd like to excuse myself from the table to check out a situation.” Alpha Sorren growled, leaving the table. I started shaking my leg nervously as I stared at the food on my plate, unable to eat it. I thought about leaving since Alpha Sorren had headed out, but my legs were too weak. My knees kept shaking, and I couldn't even try to stand. “So, what do you think about the meal?” Lady Selina asked Alpha Harrison who chuckled and gave interesting compliments. I maintained eye contact with Arianna for a few seconds until Alpha Sorren walked back in. “It was a false alarm.” He said, taking his seat. He looked disturbed, but everyone kept eating. After what felt like an eternity of stirring food endlessly, I eventually left the table, and I ran straight to my room. I could h
Sorren’s POV The faceless Luna made my skills look like a joke. I spent every sword strike trying to keep my head safe from all her attempts to kill me. She barely spoke a word and disappeared into nothing after almost killing me countless times. I had Mark, the Pack’s doctor , check out some of the injuries I sustained because they refused to heal as fast as every other wound. “I need to see whatever is doing this, because it doesn't seem normal any longer.” Mark sighed, shaking his head. And now, Alpha Harrison and a part of his pack stood before me. Nia was right beside him, and I couldn't help but look at her.“Alpha Sorren!” Harrison chuckled. “Thank you for letting us stay in your pack.” “Don't mention.” I responded.“You don't have to be so cold.” He rolled his eyes, moving over to hug Selina. Nia moved closer, looked in my eyes as she pulled me in for a hug like her mate had done with Selina. “Don't touch me.” I growled softly so that she'd be the only one to hear. She
Mira’s POV Unable to leave my bed, I kept staring at the door, thinking about how to escape whatever Arianna and Alpha Harrison would throw at me. Arianna would definitely do everything to make my life miserable, and I might never be able to avoid it. There was another knock, and I shifted uncomfortably on the bed, imagining it to be Lady Selina. “Mira, it's me.” Raina’s voice came, making me calm. “Come in.”Raina walked in with her arms folded. She sat on the chair Alpha Sorren had just sat in. I hoped that she wouldn't catch his scent and then question me about it. “Look, I'm sorry.” She said, making me surprised. “I only reacted like that because I was jealous.” I almost forgot the pressing issue before Alpha Sorren came to deliver more bad news. “Because Justin told me to clean instead of you?” I asked, and her face flushed in embarrassment. That was the only thing I could think of since things went wrong at that time. “Yes.” She rolled her eyes, taking a deep breath. “H
