My brain began to overload. I never told Randolph about the goddess creating him as a gift. I had filled in Alexander one night, he promised that if Ran was going to learn about it, it would be from the goddess or myself.
“I am so sorry I didn’t tell you before.” I started
“You need to know. Goddess Luna… She…” I was trying to find the words, but I couldn’t force them out.
“She created you, as a gift for me. To protect me, to love me… Are you sure you want to marry someone when you have no choice in your feelings?” I asked trying to be straight.
I stood there ready for my heart to break. I know the goddess believes in free will. I am free to love or hate him as he is me. I wanted it to be his choice. I loved that man more than any other soul besides Alexander.
“Princess…” He said using his first name for me
The last week went by in the blink of an eye. After Helga’s birthday, we all dove into full wedding mode. There were more wolves showing up daily, 6 in the last 3 days. We were getting tighter on space, I wondered if I should look to move the pack to another state. A few fae had shown since Helga returned from Virginia. I was proud of her natural leader abilities. They had a rush of applicants to join the task force, both fae and wolf. I was heading from the yard to the inside of Kilian and Florence’s house. The arch was ready, and the chairs were set. Florence had the most amazing glow shining around her all day. Kilian was a wreck, I giggled wondering if he was half this bad on our wedding day.
Standing at the alter Kilian and Alexander approached to take their places. Lex looked so sexy in his suit I wanted to take it off him. He noticed my lust filled eyes and I saw his swirl. I wanted him to take me right there, I didn’t care who was watching. Helga came down the aisle, she wore a beautiful blue dress, this was shorter than usual, just above her knees. The next to come down the aisle was Ingrid, her dress was yellow, the color of the sun. Freya followed with a magenta colored dress with black stitching. It was different from the other two, but Freya was picky when it came to fashion. As she took her place Florence and Randolph appeared at the end of the aisle.&n
Freya was still balling her eyes out. She kept screaming at everyone and locking herself into her bedroom. No one knew how to help her get through this. Helga had tried to explain to her the situation, but Freya was too young to understand. Haldor had just left her room, he was trying to assure her of anything, and failed. He had grown quite fond of her over the last few months, she was like a little sister to him. It broke his heart to see her like this. “Any progress?” I asked my face red and puffy from crying. “Not really,” he shrugged, “she finally fell asleep, so I’ll take that.”&n
Sometime later… The August heat was baring down on the training field. Freya circled her opponent dodging an attack. Her hair in 2 short tight braids. After Kilian’s death, she had a breakdown taking scissors to her hair. I was standing beside Sylvi as Mason played on the ground. He was such a big 18-month-old baby. His hair was starting to get darker; I loved the color and length. I threatened Sylvi daily not to cut it. “He is seriously to precious.” I said to her gawking. “I am beyond lucky to have him.” She admired.&nb
“Excuse me?” I looked at him in shock. “The patrol just linked me as we were sitting down.” He explained. “Would you like me to go take care of it and report back Alpha?” He asked I thought for a moment. We didn’t have any pressing issues that were more important than finding dead bodies. Not being sure if they were from my pack or if they were ditched there, I figured it best to just postpone the meeting. “Thank you for the offer. I think we can all agree
On our way inside, Randolph linked Bjorn and had him come for a meeting. Chase was at his side and we decided that it was something he should be a part of as well. Chase’s face lit up as soon as Randolph stated his sentence, he was proud of his mate. I watched Bjorn carefully, he was confused at first not realizing what was happening.“I will not let you down Alphas.” Bjorn said with a determined look. Once the warriors left the room, we did a run down of all the plans being put in motion. I decided to send out a few of the lone wolves that were bounty hunters into the nearby areas to sweep for clues. Something in my intuition was telling me that they were closer than I knew, if we could find them, we could attack first. Bjorn and Chase
A knock on the door woke me from my sleep. I had my head on Randolph’s shoulder and could feel Lex’s arm around my waist. I blinked a few times trying to clear the fog. Lex stood and pulled the cover over me before going to the door. I saw the scratches my nails left on his back last night and I smiled slightly. Those two men can take me out of this world. He glanced back at me smiling sensing my thoughts. “This better be good.” He said firmly opening the door. “Alpha, we have some news. I thought it best if I came right to you. All.” Erik said stepping inside.&nbs
We drove for 30 minutes before reaching our parking area. We wanted to stay a good distance away to keep the element of surprise on our side. I had sent half the team to the other side of the woods parking behind the camp.As we approached the camp, it was nearly deserted. You could see the matted grass where many vehicles park. I attempted to link Lex and I could feel him blocking me. I pushed harder before he opened his end. This better be good.He greeted me.There aren’t enough people here. Be ready for an attack.I replied before blocking him out.“I think you should go back to the vehicles my queen.” Randolph said next to me.“I am staying. I am going to head up that tree there, wait for my signal before you attack.” I said to him before sneaking over to the tree.I was a skilled climber. I had taken time to train in various terrain and s
