Sam's POV
As I watched them train, we each measured their level of combat, and how each warrior fought and what their strong points were. One thing I realized was that there were people who were less suited for battle and more suited for tracking or other positions within the pack. We trained until two in the afternoon. After the training session, I warned them that if anyone was late to training the next day, I would not be merciful. I discussed with my warriors, which warriors should be reassigned to better suiting positions. As we discussed, Matthew barged in like a ragging bull. "Sam, I know you're angry, but please, I'll show you that I am the best thing that'll happen to you, just come back to me." I sighed. This bafoon had no sense of self-awareness and too much self-assurance that I would come back. "Matthew, don't bother, I already told you I would not come back to you, and it stays the same, "I HAVE ACCEPTED YOUR REJECTION, so stop pestering me." I waved my hand at William, and he pushed out a protesting Matthew, though it was kind of funny of him to try and contour William in such a lamenting way. Once our distraction was out of the way, we finished redistributing the various professions of each wolf. By the time we were done, it was already dark. I decided to shift and take a little flight around the territory. Two of you are to follow me to make sure no one is following, and one of you should should guard my bedroom door and make sure no one gets in. With that, I transformed into a miniature form of my phoenix, which was the size of an eagle. I took flight, and I felt truly at home in the skies and started to do some acrobacy to stretch my wings. At some point, without realizing, I crossed the territory line. As I flew in unfamiliar skies, I looked down and saw a wolf that was injured. By the looks of it, I flew away from my gaurds, and they were too far away for me to yell without attracting attention. I knew how to defend myself, and I knew I'd be able to defend the wolf and I. I flew down, and as the wolf smelled me, it started to get up, though injured, and tried to defend itself. I knew it didn't see me, I went behind a tree and shifted back. As I approached, the wolf took a defensive stance, "I won't hurt you. I am here to help you." With that, the wolf seemed to calm down. I inspected the wolf and saw that it broke two ribs, fractured a leg, and its nose was broken. I put the nose back and to place and healed the rest of his body just enough so that it would be able to get back to where it came from. Once I finished, I took a look at the wolf's face. As our eyes met, it felt as if the whole world just for us. I realized that this wolf was actually a shifter, a werewolf, to be exact. It was most likely a powerful one to be able to control its size like that. Most wolves are big, but this one is the size of your average wolf you'd see in a zoo. "If you could tell no one about my being here, I'll repay the favor if we meet again." I went back into the woods and shifted as quickly as I could before the werewolf could follow and see what I was. I hope they won't rat me out. As I flew back, I saw my guard, "Why weren't you following me?" I asked in the minndlink as we flew back. "We were until something just seemed to hold us back, we tried to go around it, but we just couldn't get on that territory, so we here and hoped that you would come back." While listening, I found it weird to have a barrier but not uncommon. "Well, let's get back before anyone notices my absence." We got back, but I was still thinking about that werewolf in the woods. Who was it? Why was it injured? Who or what caused those injuries? Those are questions that I may never have the answers to. I got into bed and went to sleep with the thought of that wolf in my mind. Maybe I'll see him again one day.Sam's POVAfter my encounter with Matthew, I decided to take a flight in the foreign territory we stumbled upon last time. When I arrived at the destination, I saw the same wolf was there. As I landed, it shifted into a tall handsome human and something about him tells me that he is not to be underestimated."What are you doing in this territory phoenix?" He questions as I transform back. " Oh I'm profusely sorry I didn't realize I had crossed a border." I say. As I am about to take flight he calls out for me. "Wait, you healed me and I can see you mean no harm to my pack. Why don't we take a walk, I'd like to get to know you better." He says while scratching the back of his neck looking a bit embarrassed. He looked cute so I said yes.As we walked along the border we got to know each other better, his name was Gio, he would crack me up and I'd laugh until my stomach hurt. "You know, I had a fun time Gio, I hope we can do it again." As I turn to look at him, I realize how close we ar
Gio's POV All I could think of as I was going back to the palace was what a beautiful person she was when she helped me. My thoughts were filled with her and the beauty I saw. It reminded me of another girl I had seen 4 years ago, I hope she is well. As I was reading through pack documents, my Royal Beta and best friend Andrew walked in. "Hey, man. What was with your escapade?" He questioned as it turned to look at him, "I, for some reason, felt trapped, so I went for a run in the woods, of course, in a more subtle form." With that, I turned back to my work in hopes of getting something done. "Well, man, when you're ready, I'll be here. I got to go finish whatever work you're dumping on me. Bye." After that, my thoughts were filled with the mysterious girl. ************ Sam's POV When I woke up in the morning, I had a surprise waiting for me. Matthew had decided that winning me over was a top priority and made me breakfast and left it at my door with a note. "Hope you have a

Sam's POV The pack was barely able to run 15 miles, half of them fainted by 16, and only 20 of them completed the 20 but blacked out right after. If I were to define the pack with one word, I'd say there isn't a word to describe how pathetic they are. When everyone remained there, they were conscious and rested, I told them to pick a sparring partner similar in size who wasn't someone they knew. "Right now, you are all weak. I won't share any details. I don't care if you're a Beta, Alpha, and so on. By Pack standards, you are strong, but we are going to war with the worst dark creatures with dark witches backing them up they are almost unstoppable, so you need to train harder. This training will be rigorous, I will not go easy on you just because you are a veteran or a newbie. S be ready for it." As I finished my speech, murmurs broke out among the crowd, and Anastasia, my number one bully, called out. "Why should we take orders from you? You were just a little runt." As Anastasi
Sam's POV After my shower, I decided to work for a while. After I finished working, I went downstairs to eat dinner. As I was going down, I could hear laughter as people among the pack members were talking and laughing. When I got to the bottom of the stairs, everybody went silent. "Oh, don't let me impose on your evening, continue." When I got to my table, I was greeted by my clan. As we sat down, they started giving me the information I asked them to collect. "I went to the office and though they all seem to be working, the manager seems to be embezzling funds so, should I handle this on my own or would you like to do it Clan Leader?" I thought about it for a while and decided to let Alisha take care of this matter. "We observed their training, and although they seem to have decent attack skills, their defense is lacking. We might be able to finish this in a few weeks as long as they are not difficult." We finished eating and I made an announcement to be on the training fie
Gio's. POV It has been 4 years ever since that rogue passed through our territory, and I still haven't been able to stop thinking of her. "Alpha? Are you okay? You spaced for a while. Would you like for me to read the report about the meeting with the council now or would you have it read later?" My Beta Andrew asked. "Continue." I sat there listening to the rest of the war about the impending war Beta Matthew's POV After talking with Aiden, I announced to the pack about the impending war and that there were people who would help us out. After I told them to clean the house, I left the hall and went to the only place that might take my mind off the situation, Samantha's room. I went there and sat on the bed reminiscing on every moment I was with her. I liked her a lot when she was born but after what happened to the former Alpha and Luna, everything changed. I bullied her even when at the back of my mind I knew it was wrong. Rejecting her had to be one of the worst mistakes I
