Gio's POV

All I could think of as I was going back to the palace was what a beautiful person she was when she helped me. My thoughts were filled with her and the beauty I saw. It reminded me of another girl I had seen 4 years ago, I hope she is well.

As I was reading through pack documents, my Royal Beta and best friend Andrew walked in. "Hey, man. What was with your escapade?" He questioned as it turned to look at him, "I, for some reason, felt trapped, so I went for a run in the woods, of course, in a more subtle form."

With that, I turned back to my work in hopes of getting something done. "Well, man, when you're ready, I'll be here. I got to go finish whatever work you're dumping on me. Bye."

After that, my thoughts were filled with the mysterious girl.

Sam's POV

When I woke up in the morning, I had a surprise waiting for me.

Matthew had decided that winning me over was a top priority and made me breakfast and left it at my door with a note. "Hope you have a beautiful day beautiful." Before when I was still a part of the clan that would've had my heart swooning, but now I feel nothing for him. I would've eaten it like any other meal but I did not want to lead him on so I just left it there.

I got to the meeting room before anyone and started looking at the paintings on the wall. As I did a rerun of yesterday's incident I tried to think of an explanation for why my guards were not able to pass through on the contrary to me. As I was pondering over it, my ex-brother walked in. "Oh, I didn't think anyone would be here, seems like I was wrong."

"Yes, like all the other many things you were wrong about," I answered reminiscing all the times he tormented me.

"Look, Sam," I held out my hand, "You lost that right the moment you stopped believing me."

"OK Clan Leader Samantha, I would like to apologize and explain my behavior when I was young." I sighed "I don't want to know why you did or the way you acted the way you did. Maybe when I am less angry but for now I would like for you not to talk to me if not about the pack. Understood?

Before he could respond, the rest of them arrived. We started the meeting.

"We have decided that everyone should be repositioned in a suitable position for each wolf. Any opposition I am all ears." No one was against so we moved on to the next agenda"

By the time we finished, it was already past noon. I took a walk in the forest. I found the clearing I always went to when everything seemed too hard for me to endure. The place brought back memories, but I pushed it all away feeling the serenity I always felt when I came to this place. The place seemed like a good place to practice my magic.

I was going over spells when I sensed a presence nearby. I remained the same so as not to throw them off. When they got close enough I attacked, unleashing a green flame into the earth and tying vines around said threat, trapping them. When I finally got a look at the face, I realized it was Matthew, he had just hidden his scent.

"Hey, Sam! How are you? Your reflexes are as good as always." I sighed as I released him, though reluctantly. "What are you doing here Matthew? I thought I had told you to stay away from me. Wasn't the rejected breakfast enough of a warning?" I said, feeling like I was going in a loop from the constant rejection.

"Well, that's love, constantly fighting no matter how much rejection is suffered."

"Funny hearing you say that, you were the first to reject me even after I pleaded. I don't want to deal with your drama."

"Oh could you please listen to me, that was a mistake I made when I was younger. I wanted to be free going around but I was miserable without you. I realized my mistake and want to make it up to you. Would you please let me in?"

"Matthew, I would love to get back together with you, if I was four years younger, but now I just recoil in disgust at the thought of us ever being together. Could you please just leave me alone?"

I didn't wait for an answer and just walked away. As I was leaving, I heard a heartbroken wolf in the forest howling at the now-setting sun. I didn't look back

Sam's POVAs I watched them train, we each measured their level of combat, and how each warrior fought and what their strong points were. One thing I realized was that there were people who were less suited for battle and more suited for tracking or other positions within the pack. We trained until two in the afternoon. After the training session, I warned them that if anyone was late to training the next day, I would not be merciful. I discussed with my warriors, which warriors should be reassigned to better suiting positions. As we discussed, Matthew barged in like a ragging bull. "Sam, I know you're angry, but please, I'll show you that I am the best thing that'll happen to you, just come back to me." I sighed, this bafoon had no sense of self-awareness and too much self-assurance that I would come back. "Matthew, don't bother, I already told you I would not come back to you and it stays the same, "I HAVE ACCEPTED YOUR REJECTION, so stop pestering me." I waved my hand at William a

Sam's POV The pack was barely able to run 15 miles, half of them fainted by 16, and only 20 of them completed the 20 but black out right after. If I were to define the pack with one word, I'd say there isn't a word to describe how pitiful and pathetic they are. When everyone remained there, they consciousness and rested, I told them to pick a sparring partner similar in size who wasn't someone they knew. "Right now, you are all weak. I won't sare any details. I don't care if you're a Beta, Alpha, and so on. By Pack standards, you are strong, but we are going to war with the worst dark creatures with dark witches backing them up they are almost unstoppable, so you need to train harder. This training will be rigorous, I will not go easy on you just because you are a veteran or a newbie. S be ready for it." As I finished my speech, murmurs broke out among the crowd, Anastasia, my number one bully, called out. "Why should we take orders from you? You were just a little runt." As Anastas

Sam's POVAfter my shower, I decided to work a while. After I finished working, I went downstairs to eat dinner. As I was going down, I could hear laughter as people among the pack members were talking and laughing. when I got to the bottom of the stairs, everybody went silent. "Oh, don't let me impose on your evening, continue." When I got to my table, I was greeted by my clan. As we sat down, they started giving me the information I asked them to collect. "I went to the office and though they all seem to be working, the manager seem to be embezzling funds so, should I handle this on my own or would you like to do it Clan Leader?"I thought about it for a while and decided to let Alisha take care of this matter. "We observed their training, and although they seem to have decent attack skills, their defense is lacking. We might be able to finish this in a few weeks as long as their are not difficult." We finished eating and I made an announcement to be on the training field by 4:30

Gio's. POVIt has been 4 years ever since that rogue passed throug our territory, I still haven't been able to stop thinking of her."Alpha? Are you okay? You spaced for awhile. Would you like for me to read the report about the meeting with the council now or would you have it read later?" My Beta Andrew asked."Continue." I sat there listening to rest of the war about the impending warBeta Matthew's POV After talking with Aiden, I announced to the pack about the impending war and that there are people who will help us out. After I told them to clean the house, I left the hall and went to the only place that might take my mind off the situation, Samantha's room. I went there and sat on the bed reminiscing on every moment I was with her. I liked her a lot when she was born but after what happened to the former Alpha and Luna, everything changed. I bullied her even when at the back of my mind I knew it was wrong. Rejecting her had to be one of the worst mistakes I have ever made.

"Well, a normal day, could you contact Liam, and tell I am free now if he wants to see me." "Right away ma'am." After 4 years of living on my own I am quite successful. My company skyrocketed and is now among the top 5 companies in the world. After living in Norwood for a year, I started looking for the other surviving Phoenix. It was hard but I found them. They were barely alive so I took them in and treated them, after 6 months they asked me to be their clan leader, because like a pack Phoenix are strong together even if they don't go berserk after leaving the clan they still need one. After making sure they really wanted it I got an ev

I love you and our pack too much to put you all in danger by raising our child here, please.” I pleaded, scared that they would come after us while our guard was down. "Honey, know this I love you and this child too much to let either of go so please don't say such things please." I knew there was no use in persuading him to let me go because I knew our child is special and he loved me too much to let either of us go but I wanted to protect her older brother, her father and the rest of the pack. I thought about it maybe, we could protect them in the pack but also didn't want to take risk of leaving and being caught with less security so I'm going to stay for the safety of our baby girl.
