Chapter 3

CHAPTER THREE

I left the office and headed for my desk.

"I mean, does this guy drink wine before coming to work?" I said to myself as I prepared for the meeting and presentation.

"Are you ready to go?" Clara asked as she walked towards my desk.

"Well, I'm preparing myself, plus , your boss weird, he keeps saying things like Luna, Luna, Luna, what the hell is Luna?"

I said while putting things together.

"I don't know, if you ask me, who am I gonna ask? I think you should figure that out yourself."

"Okay, heard ya, I'm ready, what do you want from me?"

"The presentation, who's gonna do it?"

I looked at her, "what kind of question is that? You of course or did you assign someone else to do it?" I said with confidence in my eyes.

"Ummm... I might need your help for this," she said

"What? You can't do this to me, I don't want to hear anything, you prepared for the presentation, so you do it." I stated firmly.

"You know we didn't plan for this..." She said.

"We all didn't plan for this, so you can't impose your problem on me girl." I gave it to her.

"I have to be somewhere else at that time and I really can't reschedule that, the presentation is actually really simple, I'll just summarize, so you can know what to say. Thank you." She said joyfully as she opened her laptop.

"Okay, let's hear what it's all about," I sat down and listened to her present to me.

As Soon as she was done, she left to prepare for her presentation and I was back to doing my business.

I jolted at the sound of the office Telecom.

"Yes sir," I answered the call

"Come in," he said in his extremely musky voice

"Okay sir,"I replied, immediately dropping the Telecom and headed towards his door.

I opened the door gently, got in and closed the door softly.

"Yes sir, do you need anything?" I asked with both my hands clutched together.

"If I didn't need anything would I ask for your help?" He answered in a harsh tone.

"Did I do anything wrong?" I thought to myself

"No you didn't," he said

"Did I say that out loud?" I thought to myself again.

"Yes you did." He replied again.

How can he read my mind? I am sure I didn't say that out loud. I shook my head to wave away the thoughts.

I walked closer to his work table.

"After the meeting yesterday, and the dinner, did I do anything funny or out of character?" He asked with much seriousness attached to his face.

"Ummm..." I stayed a while before  replying.

"Talk to me, you can tell me anything." He said, I have never see him this close to being nice.

"Well, you kept on spewing nonsen..." I held my mouth with right hand.

"How did I say that he was saying nonsense?" I thought to myself.

"It's okay you can speak, I just want to know what transpired while I was not sober." He said smiling and staring at me.

He stood up and moved closer to me.

"Ummm you kept on calling Luna, there was nothing embarrassing, except calling your girlfriend's name I presume, you probably thought I was her." He was right in front of me by the time I finished speaking.

He really looks like my dream guy, I can't really explain what he looks like.

As he walked towards me, my eyes turned towards him, drawn in by his striking presence. He stood at least six foot four, his towering frame commanding attention, and his broad shoulders filling out his tailored suit perfectly. His chiseled features were like something out of a sculptor's workshop - strong jawline, high cheekbones, and piercing eyes that seemed to look right through you.

He moved with an easy grace, every step deliberate and confident. His voice was deep and rich, a rumble that sent shivers down your spine. When he smiled, his teeth gleamed like pearls, and his laughter was infectious, filling the room with warmth and joy.

Despite his intimidating size and good looks, he had an air of approachability that made you feel comfortable around him. He was quick with a joke, but also genuinely interested in what you had to say. He made you feel like you were the only person in the room, even though there were dozens of people vying for his attention.

He had an aura of self-assurance that was almost palpable, as if he knew he was something special and didn't need anyone else to confirm it. It was both attractive and intimidating, making you want to get to know him better while also feeling a little nervous around him.

"Oh really? You're right Luna is my girlfriend," his right hand strolled at my face, his fingers ran through my hair and put them in order but this act of his made my heart race.

It wasn't like I wanted to stand still while he did this but I was more or less electrified at that moment.

I bent down slowly to get away from him but he stopped me by holding both my arms, I looked down, I couldn't look at him.

He held my face up with his right hand, I looked at him and pushed him immediately.

"I'm sorry sir, it's almost time for the meeting." I said in a rush to leave the office.

"Come back," he called and I froze.

"You forgot to take the keys." He said with a smirk on his face.

"Oh, yes sir, my bad." I said as I rushed to the table to get the key.

Immediately I got the key, I got out of his office in a rush, my heart beat was as loud as that of a bass drum. I'm Pretty sure the whole office could hear my heart beat.

The sound of the door brought me back to reality. Mr Allen was out and ready for the meeting.

"What are you waiting for? Let's move." He said

I was already ready for the meeting, everything I needed was already in the bag, I grabbed the bag and followed him from behind.

"Where's the presentation for Mr Lucas?" He asked.

"I have it here sir, in the laptop." I replied as we walked downstairs.

"Alright then, I guess we're ready," he stated

"Yes, we are," I replied and opened the car for him to enter.

We were done with both presentations and surprisingly it went well. I drove him home and I decided to take a deep breath and admire the environment.

The moon was full and bright, illuminating the dark night sky. I had always found the moon to be calming, and tonight was no exception. I stood on his balcony, watching as the light played across the trees, casting strange shadows on the ground.

As I watched, I saw movement in the trees. At first, I thought it was just the wind, but then I saw something that made my heart skip a beat.
