Rohan

Two hours earlier.

“Hold on Dayton, we’re almost there,” I assured, stepping my foot on the gas.

We were back to my pack and I was speeding through the dirt road as fast I could. His blood was spilled all over my backseat, and I knew that would take a hell lot of scrubbing to get it off. He was groaning, twisting in pain as he fought to stay conscious. I wondered what Rebekah was going to say when she saw him injured. She may as well be done with me.

I swerved the car into the parking lot and rushed out of the car. It was twilight and the sun was rising above me. I pulled Dayton out of the backseat and held him in my arms as I rushed towards the glass doors.

“This is embarrassing,” he muttered as we rushed into the hospital.

“Trust me. This isn’t embarrassing like it is to me,” I said as we stepped into the lobby. “Somebody help me!”

That wasn’t a surprise. There was already a stretcher coming towards me. I placed Dayton there and before he left, he grabbed my hand. I looke

Cassian The figure in the darkness moved towards me and I couldn’t help but stifle a chuckle. This was one of my oldest prisoners. He’d been here for more than a decade, and I was certain he was getting tired. But I wasn’t going to let him go until I was done with him. “Have you come down here to watch me wallow in suffering?” A male voice asked. It was hoarse, plagued with wariness and revenge. I shoved my hands into the pockets of my suit and smiled at him. “You don’t have to worry about that, Sybil. You will be free soon,” I lied. “What?” I heard him growl from the depths of the cell. And in a flash, he appeared before me, his hands grasping the cell bars. That was when his face was revealed. His hair had grown bigger than I imagined. His face was covered with dirt and his blue eyes were dull. This wasn’t how I remembered them. They were once bright and filled with life. Well, he was much younger then. “Yes, Sybil. I will free you once you carry out my wish,” I said with a c

Cassian“You must keep your promise, Cassian,” Vivian said, slamming her hand on the desk. “You promised!”I was getting irritated as I stared at her. She was nagging again and it made me wonder what I’d done to deserve this. If given her everything she ever wanted—eternal life, power, love, and every gold that glittered. But still, that wasn’t enough. She was looking for something more. Something more valuable than every other thing I’d given her. The ability to walk under the sun like me. It was difficult for something like that to happen. If required time and practice. But I could understand her because I’d promised this decades ago. And still, there was no progress. “I’ve told you, Vivian. I need a bit more time,” I reminded her. “This isn’t something you can rush into.”She furrowed her brow as she stared at me. “Is that your way of telling me that you aren’t going to do it anymore?”I furrowed my brows at that. I was getting tired of digesting her insolence. It was only a matt

DamonThe rain tapped the windows continually as the rain poured down. It was like a storm. And in my chest, a storm of rage grew larger. I was glaring at Isaiah, my heart racing as I waited for him to act. He seemed to be enjoying this, his gold eyes gleaming with excitement as he stared at this. I stood corrected, this was exhilarating to him. I could feel the adrenaline flushing into my bloodstream, the rain outside fueling the tension that crackled between us. “Come on,” I called. “I’m when you are.”Isaiah chuckled, his eyes never leaving mine. He was smart. The second he took his eyes off me, I was going to act. But he was way smart to afford me that. His fangs gleamed as he lunged, his gold eyes burning with hunger. I ducked, my boots slipping on the kitchen tiles, and tackled him, slamming us both into the living room. The coffee table splintered under our weight, wood shards flying as we crashed to the floor. Rain pounded outside, a gray curtain blurring the windows. I

Rohan“How is he, Rebekah?” I asked as she stepped out of the room. She sighed when she saw me, the expression of disappointment on her face. I could tell she was tired of seeing me here. She’d even said that the last time we saw each other. Maybe my mother was right. Perhaps I was a magnet for danger. I couldn’t stay away and now that terror was rising on the horizon, I had to make sure that everybody was safe before it was too late. It was the little I could do. Nobody deserved to go through what I’d gone through. That was why I wasn’t going to rest until it was over. “He’s recuperating well,” she said. “His wounds will heal in a couple of hours. And after that, you all can go back to the wrestling match you came from.”I clenched my jaw at that. I could tell that she was fed up. I wished I could tell her everything. The feeling was gnawing at me, but I couldn’t say anything. The only person I told was my mother, and I still hadn’t told her about the progress that we’ve made. Tha

DamonI gazed at water gushing out of the faucet onto my hands. I was lost. For a split second, I forgot where I was. I sighed and splashed the water on my face. I looked into the mirror above the sink and looked at my damp face. My jet black hair was scattered across my forehead, there were dark circles under my green eyes and my cheeks were stained with dirt. I was a mess. My mind brought me back to the issue at hand. Isaiah. He was going to kill this family. I knew it. But when? When was he going to unleash his wrath and hunger on them? I didn’t know. I had to get them to safety but how was I going to do that? They wouldn’t just believe me. Plus I would be breaking a secret oath that had lasted thousands of years if I showed them who I was. I was lost. I slammed my hand on the wall and the house trembled in response. I could feel the rage burning in my chest as I recalled his laugh. He was enjoying this. Torturing me to get into action or making me sit there while he slaughtered

  • The Forgotten Luna   Chapter Eighty-Four

RohanI was glad by my mother’s arrival but that also felt like a double edged sword. If she was here, then it meant that there was trouble. Simone had told me again. Who this time? Rebekah? I doubt it. She’d told me to keep her away from all of these and let her do her job. A promise which I’d kept. There was only one other person who would have told her everything. Jarred. I crunched my teeth at that. I’d instructed him to keep an eye on Anna while I was away but he was nowhere to be found. And worst of all, I’d also warned her not to leave the house under any circumstance. Not only had she broken that rule, but had also questioned me as Alpha. There were a lot of things I would have loved to teach her, but my mom’s presence hindered it. “Anna. Remember that you’re not to stress yourself in your condition?” She reminded her. Anna’s face was an epitome of fury, but as she heard Caroline, the furnace reduced until she was back to normal.“Fine,” she said with a sigh of defeat. “I w
