Chapter 8

The Governor's Son Chapter 8

MAXINE IS SO ANGRY when looking at his son. "I TOLD YOU NOT TO GET YOURSELF INTO TROUBLE!"

Denver keeps on crying in front of his mother. He is sobbing like a baby when he cannot do anything to calm her down. She's been so protective when his father died.

"We still don't get the justice for your dad and now… you're the one in line for having such injustice! I will not accept this—"

"Mama! I don't want trouble anymore. Please let us settle this… A-Angelito and I agreed—"

She slaps her face. "I'm still your mother! The decision is for me to keep and fight for your rights." She is so eager to fight for his son's rights. He is so afraid of his mother because she doesn't know Angelito's personality.

"Mama…. D-Don't please. He's such a dangerous person! He is friends with those polices!" he is screaming in mixing anger and terror. Denver is so worried about their security because when he was at the detention centre.

He often heard some guard talking about him as their boss. That's why he is so scared when Angelito has so much money, and he threatens to bury him with his endangered plants.

"I will still pursue this case! I will find a way in my day-off," Maxine said as they slept in terror and a sense of justice in their heart.

DAYS HAD PASSED so quickly, like Angelito's patience in every situation. He is walking past the Victory mall to have his breakfast in a fast-food restaurant.

Don Angelito doesn't want to be bothered… so he turns off his phone and eats in peace. All eyes are on him because he's so handsome—even people passing by have their necks looking back to have a glimpse at him.

The Don is just on his Sando and a short above his knees. Nonetheless, his charisma is overflowing. His tiger jaws are so perfectly shaped with his face.

"Sir? Can I asked for a picture with you?" the waitress asked because she could not hold her urge to ask him. However, the Don doesn't want to get bothered by her request.

"Next time," he coldly responded as the waitress left shyly from being rejected by the handsome Don. Angelito doesn't care about them because he wants to eat a doughnut with a hot and black coffee for breakfast.

After that trial case, his I*******m messages kept popping to the point he was irritated and turned off his notifications. A man goes inside the doughnut house and sits by his side.

Don Angelito is somewhat intrigued to look at him. Lotus Medina smiles broadly when looking at Don's fierce face.

"What are you doing here?"

"Oh? I just passed by since I will go to Pasay Police this day. I don't expect to found you here sipping coffee and attract so many eyes in your fair and muscular body," Medina jokes around, but the Don takes another bite.

"Are you available to have a short conversation at your place? This is interesting, Don," he added, continuously bothering him as Angelito took his coffee and ate the last tiny piece of his doughnut.

The inspector shadows the governor's son up to his apartment. Angelito opens the door for him as he locks it immediately.

"Speak in five minutes then take your leave," his voice is freezing cold because of his irritation about hearing Denver's case again. He settled in days ago, and now the inspector is bothering his breakfast.

Such a pain in his ass.

"Calm down, Don. I'm here to say they make a complaint again—"

Angelito pushes him to the door, but Medina is forcing himself not to leave in an instant.

"They said to continue the case… plus harassment to his son, Denver. He has visible marks on his neck plus he's traumatized," Medina candidly said as Angelito's hands let go.

He is silent for a moment. "Come again?"

Lotus sighed in relaxation of his interest. "He is traumatized. He's so afraid to speak up against you, but his mother takes action."

This time, Angelito's blood is boiling again in the heat.

"This will be a tremendous impact against you. I cannot let you be in trouble just because of them. I pleaded to Don Pablo to help you in any means—"

"Go to the point you scumbag!" he shouts thunderously.

Lotus Medina puts his hands on his shoulder to calm his system. He looks directly at his eyes just to tell everything is now on his hand.

"Negotiate. We need to have a proper areglo to back the case and considered close. Your record will be clean as it should be. The governor is now making a move against them. If you want to protect that cute kid…. You must go and I will summon the three of you at the station," Medina explains thoroughly to sink in these details vividly.

Angelito sighed when hearing his suggestion. Such a brilliant way to lessen the governor's wrath.

"Did you and dad negotiate? What did he said?"

"To clean it already… he also said, you will be cleaning the son," Medina responded in the sense of his work. The Don is astonished by his words because he needs to clean up that cutie pie by himself.

"I will do this to reassure your safety and they will be in peace. If they don't want to negotiate about your case. My man is ready for your hands not to get dirty. The mother is so passionate about your case… we will take care of her, Don Angel."

Lotus excuses himself, but his hand grabs his wrist—stopping him from leaving the room.

"What's the schedule? I want to see that cute boy," he asked curiously.

Lotus chuckles awkwardly because he forgets to tell. "Maybe the next day. I will send you a message a day before the negotiation. And may I ask you, Don… Why you're interested to Denver?"

Angelito was in total silence when he asked such an inane question. He clears his throat and then walks away. "You may now leave," he says; however, Lotus looks at him playfully—encircling his hand on his neck.

“Come on, Don Angelito Marquez. Are you interested in that cute boy? I know you're straight, but the way you look at him was different. I just knew you months ago since I've been working directly with your father."

Angelito blushes when hearing such teasing in his life. His heart is pumping so fast that he cannot feel his feet touching the ground. He twitches a smile upon reminiscing something about his old friend, which he looks like.

"I cannot tell you. However, never lay a hand to him or else… you will confess to my gun, understand?" Medina chuckles in his response as he massages his back.

"Si, Don Angel. I will not defy your words, but please spare me if the governor will be angry about your decision. My job is only to protect you and not him. Your father is scary when angry," he whispers, sending a chill to his spine.

Lotus Medina bid his farewell to leave the room in harmony. He left Angelito hanging in his position, standing while his lips were parted.

The Don is distressed about what will happen. On the other hand, he doesn't want his hands to get dirty. That's why he has so many minions all around to do the job for him.

Let me test you this time, Denver.
