Chapter 18: A new plan

Alexander, unable to resist his feelings for Isabella,even after she insisted that they keep their distance insists on meeting her despite her previous warnings to stay away. They arrange to meet by an old oak tree at the outskirts of the kingdom during the daytime. Isabella, after receiving Alexander's letter through the palace mail, decides to sneak out to see him, her heart filled with both excitement and trepidation.

She didn't know if this was right or wrong and the fear if being caught by any of her parents worried her. Her mother would be very much displeased, especially after her severe warning of her staying clear from any love interest till she clocks 25 and she is claimed.

As they reunite under the shade of the majestic oak tree, Alexander opens up about his concerns and the plans orchestrated by Lord Arcturus to his father, to tag her gift as witchcraft and provoke the people against her. He assures Isabella that he genuinely wants to help her and protect her from any harm
