Salem

"Your mother never told you about the full moon before she died?" she asked.

"No," I said, shaking my head.

Madison stared at me, surprisingly.

"Come," she instructed.

I followed her into the living room and sat beside her.

"Living alone for so long, I've completely forgotten about the full moon," she told me.

"I don't understand what you meant when you said you're going to lose me forever." I asked with curiosity.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," Madison retorted.

"Please tell me about the full moon." I was growing impatient to know everything about it.

The full moon would affect me, and I needed to know why. Recollecting what the alpha told me was scaring me. Who would take me from here? Would the full moon be under some strange powers that would compel me to leave from here?

"The full moon is a mating season for a she-wolf or a male wolf who is 18 or older and is mature enough to find their mate," explained Madison.

"Mate?" I asked, still confused.
