Chapter 20: Immature

After the long conversation Madison and I had, Inside, it became very silent.

I watched her from the entrance of the kitchen as she prepared dinner. The scent of the delicious meal she was preparing made me want to start eating.

Madison was not in a good mood when she remembered her mate. I felt it for her. I could see the sadness in her eyes. She smiled a couple of times at me, seeing that I was watching her, but her smile didn't feel genuine. It felt forced. It didn't give me a warm feeling whenever she would smile at me.

I heard the front door knock, and I ran over to Madison, fearing it was her nephew, the cruel alpha.
