Salem It felt wrong to trust a she-wolf I barely knew. I understand the reason she was so interested in giving me a home was because of her daughter, who was kidnapped from her, and so showing pure kindness towards me was a way for her that if her daughter was to be still alive, the same way she was treating me, her daughter would somehow receive the same treatment. Salem The morning I was still asleep, not realizing it was daylight. A sharp sound behind the door awakened me. I jumped up and ran to the stairs, scenting that it was another wolf outside. Madison had heard the sound and came downstairs. I ran past her upstairs and stood at the corner of the stairs so that no one could see me, frightened. "It's okay; it's probably someone from the pack visiting me," said Madison softly. My head slowly peeped at her from the corner of the stairs. She smiled at me and reassured me that everything was going to be okay. She then went to open the door. As she did, I quickly hid back in the corner of the stairs to see who was here to see her. Salem I ran around the living room like a headless cockroach, not knowing where to hide. It was impossible for me to hide from another wolf. My stench was too strong for him not to pick up. His knock was so powerful that I heard the roof of the house shake. Salem In the morning, after sniffing my breakfast, I went back to lie at the front door until it was time to leave. Madison was going to carry me to the alpha's home. My head lifted as I heard Madison approach me. "I know you're nervous about today; I'm too, but you need to eat," she told me. My head turned away from her, not wanting to. "Please drink something then," she begged me. I got up and followed her into the dining room. She poured a glass of milk into a bowl. I drank it. I then went back to the door, worried about the difficult task the cruel alpha had already planned for me. Madison hurriedly left the dining room and ran upstairs. I knew at that moment that it was time for us to leave. I stood up as I saw her returning downstairs. "Before we leave, I want to say something to you," said Madison. I looked at her. "Though my nephew is cruel to you, I want you to know that you are here for a purpose by the moon goddess, and she has chosen you to be a part of this pack.
