LOGIN"I’ll help you become the woman you’ve always dreamed of being, Adele. I’ll help you build a confidence so strong, no one will ever dare to bully you again." ***** When the school’s top hockey player—the famous quiet bad boy every female students admired, approached me, a plump, bullied omega no one ever noticed, I was stunned. I rejected his offer, even though I had secretly admired him for the past two years since he transferred to our school. I was too scared. Scared of getting on princess Chloe's bad side, especially since she had her eyes on him too and has been parading herself as his girlfriend all over the school. But it wasn't long before I found myself crawling back to him, desperate to take the offer this time as I couldn’t take the torments any longer. I knew this choice would cost me more than I imagined, but for the first time in my life, I was ready to fight for myself. To change my life and existence. Forever. And nothing was going to stop me now...
View MoreIt was almost five pm and Jenna Ferguson was tiding up her desk and getting ready to knock off and go home when she heard the door bang close. When she lifted her eyes, an unfamiliar figure stood by her reception desk. Not only was her pretty face unfamiliar, but her sense of dress style and the luggage bag she held onto too.
"Hi," said the unfamiliar brunette, clad in what Jenna thought must be traditional wear with all the colours. She was waving her hand arratically. "I'm here to see Jenna, Jenna Fur...Furg-"
'What the hell? She can't pronounce my name too?' Jenna thought.
"That's me, I'm Jenna Ferguson. You must be Christine Dohana, right?"
"Yes, that must be me," the girl answered sheepishly.
"Okay…" Jenna said almost rolling her eyes. "I'm glad you arrived just in time. How about I take you to see the apartment."
"See the apartment?" Said Dohana confused, "I want to move in, right now."
"Okay, you'll still have to see it first and if you like it you can move in," Jenna said leaving the reception and going over to Dohana. "And your bag? I'll help you carry it, okay."
Jenna grimaced as soon as she tried to lift the bag. She dropped it as soon as she had picked it up. "Geez, Christine, what's in this bag?"
"Oh! Don't worry about it. I'll carry it, please lead the way," Dohana said easily lifting the luggage.
'What the hell?' Jenna thought. "Okay, follow me," she said entering the lift.
"So, what's your title by the way?" Asked Jenna.
"Princess Andorra."
"Oh! Sorry, I meant what's your full name?" Jenna asked again.
"Princess Christine Dohana."
'Great, another person with multiple names.'
"Where are you from by the way?" Jenna asked.
"Andorra."
"Is that a name of a country or something?"
"Yes, it is," said Dohana all smiles, looking at Jenna's surprised expression.
The lift opened at the third floor and the two got out and headed to apartment 307. Music could be heard blazing through the speakers from a mile away. Jenna got exaperated and rushed to open the door. As they stood at the entrance, two young ladies wearing long dresses were dancing their hearts out- holding spoons.
"Not another Kareoke session, Mariot. I thought I told you to slow down with the loud music," Jenna complained.
"This must be my new roommate," Mariot said gleefully as she rushed over and held Dohana's hands, pulling her over and began a dance.
Jenna sighed.
Dancing around the room, Dohana's face turned from confusion to elation. 'This must be the way they greet, right?'
As she turned to face Jenna, she realised Jenna was smiling. 'It seems veryone's happy to be my friend here,' she concluded.
"Alright, turn off the music," commanded Jenna.
Daisy quickly ran over and switched off the music.
"I'm trying to sell an apart-"
"I'll take it!" Said an elated Dohana.
'What? I haven't even explained the prices yet?'
"This apartment is $2300 dollars a month," said Jenna, "are you sure-"
"I can afford it, I'll take it," said Dohana.
Daisy joined hands with the dancing due who began to spring around as Jenna watched on in surprise.
"Alright then, I'll bring up the paperwork and the machine for payment," Jenna said as she looked at those crazy kids while she left.
When the ladies finally got exhausted from too much dancing, they slumped on their couche.
"I'm so happy to have a new roommate," said Mariot grinning at Dohana. "Christina right?"
"Call me Dohana," she replied, sturdying her new roommate. She was blond, with a few freckles on her cheeks that made her look cute. Her big blue eyes were stunning and she could easily become a model, Dohana thought.
"Dohana?" Mariot asked, her eyebrows calculating, "I've never heard of someone with that name before."
"Neither have I," added Daisy frowning. Daisy has the most beautiful lips, brunette like herself and with an oval face. Her eyes were brown and had such a beautiful smile.
"That's because it's not an American name. I'm from Andorra," Dohana said as she simpered.
"Andorra? I've never heard of it. This is my friend Daisy, she lives at the next apartment next to ours. Anyway girl, let's take you to your room, shall we?" Said Mariot leading the way. "This is the kitchen, bathroom over there and this...is...your room. Feel free to ask anything you will need."
"Okay," said Dohana entering her room, "I'll start by unpacking my stuff right now."
"No biggie, Daisy and I are gonna go down to the cafeteria to pick up some food. What would you like for the night?"
"Anything you will be having, thanks."
"Alright then, see you in a biggie," said Mariot leaving.
'Finally, I'm safe in my new home away from home.' Dohana sighed, slumped on the bed before she collapsed back and fell asleep from exhaustion.
Chapter 14Adele Wilson “Strip, Adele!”I froze. My eyes widened.“Wh…what?” My voice cracked, lips trembled as cold seeped through my body.“He…Henry…” My throat burned hot… Air vanished from my lungs. I opened my mouth to talk, but no words came.“That is the punishment I've chosen for you… for disobeying and humiliating me.” He went back to sit on the chair, lips curled in a smirk, eyes locked on me.I tightened my jaw, staring at him silently, tears streaming down my cheeks. He already destroyed my father's house. What more does he want?“Why are you doing this to me, Henry? I did nothing wrong to you.” My voice cracked.“What did you do to me…” he mumbled, leaning close, eyes locked on me. “What did I tell you, Adele? You are mine, Adele… Mine!”I tightened my fist, dropping my gaze. My mind went blank for a moment. I just knelt there, staring at the floor. My hand trembled as I lifted my hand to my shirt, but paused. There's no way in hell I'm doing this.I instinctively stoo
Chapter 13Adele Wilson I walked inside the ice hockey arena at exactly 5:30 A.M.My legs halted forcefully as I spotted Jason on the ice rink, skating. Fingers curled tightly around the hockey stick as he moved the puck speedily across the rink.I had pictured everything in my mind. How beautiful and perfect I would be after Jason helped me lose some weight as he had promised, but I couldn't bring myself to continue this. Not when my father's life is in jeopardy."Why have you not changed into your workout clothes yet?"My breath caught in my throat as his voice slammed me back to reality, and I realised he was already standing in front of me, eyes locked on me. "Good morning..." My voice sounded beneath the loud banging in my chest. "Yeah... Morning. Go change into your workout fit and come back." He then turned, skating away when I called his attention."Jason..." He paused and looked back at me."Yes?"I bit my lip so hard that it almost bled. My fingers dug into my palms in a
Chapter 12Adele Wilson ‘Stay away from Jason, and I will spare you, Adele’.My breath caught in my throat as Chloe's voice rang in my head over and over again. I curled up on the bed, staring into space, many thoughts lingered on my mind. The anger I felt earlier that pushed me to talk back at Henry had disappeared. All I felt now was fear… Just like that, I had crawled back into my shell, but still, I didn't regret what I did. I'd have still done that even if it was the last thing I had to do on earth. My phone rang. My father's number displayed on the screen.“Father?” I muttered, wiping my tears with the back of my palm.I cleared my throat, to be sure I didn't sound teary, then I answered the call, pressing the phone to my ear.“Father…”“Adele…” his voice cracked, and he sniffled. “Father… are you alright?” “Yes, I'm fine, daughter… I… uhm… can you not come home for some time?” I squinted my eyebrows. “Huh?”“The thing is, our house was attacked.” He sounded like he was a
Chapter 11Adele Wilson “He…Henry…” father stuttered, obviously tense. Has this bastard been bullying my father too?“Uhm… I'm sorry… I had no idea you… you… were in the academy.” Father's voice quivered, his hands trembled slightly as he fondled his fingers. Seriously?I stepped away from Henry, and went to my father. “Father, you should get going.” I rubbed his arm to ease him.“Come on, Adele. I'm still talking to him. You can't ask him to leave like that…” he paused, then turned to my father and smirked. “You won't leave, will you?”My father looked at me, forcing a smile. “Daughter, why don't you go back to your dorm, hmm? Father will handle this here.”“No. I won't leave until I watch you leave.” I insisted.“Aww… What a father and daughter moment. I love this.” Henry chuckled, clapping his hands. My heart twisted in my chest, hammering against my ribcage, and blood boiling as rage spurred through me. “Father, you should leave. I will sort this out with Henry.” I whispered to
