The mine was hot, too hot for my liking. We sat under the small mango tree.. waiting for the machine to stabilize the ground so we'd be able to start working.

I had never thought I'd be sitting under a mango tree, under the hot sun and working so hard like this. Everything seemed like a bad dream. A dream I was yet to wake up from.

The people around me laughed. They were laughing to some stories the bald head guy was telling them... about his days as a merchant.

But now he was reduced to something like this...a landmine detector.

"Let's begin." The man In charge of the mine yelled so loudly, you'd think he was using a flute to talk.

We gathered under the hot sun as he began to five orders to where we'd be assign to begin..One thing I was thankful for was that..I was not recognized here.
