Leigh contemplated how to initiate the conversation. Should she take the initiative to speak to him or not? Frustrated with her own indecision, she shook her head. "Forget it! I really have to do it."

Summoning her courage, Leigh swallowed the food in her mouth before finally mustering the words.

"Um, are you going to work?" she asked, her voice tentative.

She immediately berated herself for asking such an obvious question. Wayne was already dressed in his cream-colored long-sleeved polo and black slacks, clearly ready for work. However, she couldn't help but notice that he seemed to be taking his time with his meal. Wasn't he aware of the time?
