The skies were black as always being ornamented by silvery stars. It looked like a reflection of the sands.
It was several nights now that she walked on this caged paradise and yet she knew nothing of getting out there. She hoped that maybe the stars could tell her the way out. If only the Deities could hear her, she had no idea just as she was not sure if they exist at all.
The cold breeze played her hair and it made the back of her nape stood. The sands were white and like all sand, the tiny glitters made it more like crystalline. She could see the horizon where the sea met the skies. This place had no moon. If there's one, it would be more like those things she dreamt of seeing in movies.
She felt more alive now. It was so ridiculous to say such a thing, especially that she was stuck there. Her way out was still unknown and Red was unwilling to tell her any secrets. She had to figure out her way out or she's stuck with her. <
It was her first time of everything. All things had to be and it made her heart leap for a minute. It was racing in kilometers and if she had a heart pro, she would have an attack right now. Good thing she hadn't. The dragon was enormous and its head that almost as big as the moon on its fullest. She remembered her ascension and the moment she first flapped her wings. She tried to reach the moon but it was impossible. There were miles before she could reach that place and although she knew that it was just a bunch of rocks and infertile soil, from above, her people, the Magicians still worshipped it. She had seen the other two they worshipped and it made her realize what else did she not know about them. She hated that she didn't have any idea at all. She wanted to know everything and it sounded that she wasn't enough to be called the Chosen. Whatever it meant. "Tell me your business, Magicians," the dragon demanded. "You
Their journey was not very easy. They faced so many dangers on the land but Albert had made sure that they were safe and out of the woods. Well, they were not out of the woods. They were in the middle of it and she was very happy. Exhilaratingly happy. For they found, not only the way out but the place she only wished to come since they arrived. Since they crashed. They found the Cabin. They reached at a plateau one night while they set camp. Then, she wondered why the place was so familiar. From where they were camping, she saw the light from somewhere and she could not mistaken a house. A simple house. There were lights coming from the outside because that was what she told them. Always out the lights on outside the house. You don't know who needs comfort at the middle of the night. That purpose was served at the moment and Betty was just too happy to live in it. They were tired but the sight of it made Betty's blood alive. She screamed with delight and eve
Ray felt it. They arrived at the Haven with a perfect timing. He was not sure if it was a good thing or bad but something was about to happen.Changes in the wind felt like a storm was coming. He created the Haven many years ago on his first trip on Earth, preparing the day that would come. And the day had come. There was a safety pin on the place that when there's a rise of power, or the power lines were shaking, he would know. The Haven was no longer the same except the purpose that it was created for.Ray, even the body of little Mark, he understood what Betty felt on finding the place. She was teary-eyed. She laughed while crying, not truly understanding how to react on such finding a small scent of home after the hell of four weeks out on the woods - after being dead to the world.Betty understood very much why she let Albert took him on his bedroom rather than in hers. That night was very special not just because they found
She found it difficult at first. The Night Children was a challenging race to raise. It took her so many rituals and many tears to gather their faith. She did not expect them to love her. Love was not she needed. She needed their support and cooperation in the coming war.It was laboring now. The scent of war was in the air and it fabricated of blood and revenge. Those who lived on the other side of the veil must be afraid of their rage. The deities did not care and the Night Children's anger was insurmountable. For centuries, they had been forgotten as if they did not exist. Quite left for the leftovers of humanity while their cousins on the Angels were given the Paradise.Miranda sat on the Constant's place. It took her some time to call it her own now. It had been Albert's always. And, everytime each of the Night Children looked at the place, they wondered why she was there. She was there because Albert gave up the Reign - not because she won it
Elena woke in a stabbing pain on her right arm and she knew that she was hurt but she didn't know why. She was in the infirmary of the Palace. By the smell of it, she knew it was alcohol and the white ceilings announced cleanliness. There were others there too. On the next beds, she didn't know why there were so many. There might be some war in the Palace of Los Barrios and she didn't know why. When she left, what war had been Jason's preparing? She asked herself so many times, trying to figure out some spaces in her head. But there were no answers coming in. Only pain on her arm. And, she hated when her own humanity slapped her in the face - she was limited and emotions were unexempt. She had to accept that reality for so long that she had lived. But, it was just hard to admit what was right in front of her. No one could have that satisfaction. No mortal had. Never. But, she was not just a mortal. She was not ordinary neither extraordinary. She
It was hard to say that Elena said the truth but it must be difficult for her to know what sacrifices she had given for the quest. Jason has to understand her silence. She accepted his visits to the Time Palace but she was not speaking to him. She was always looking far away. Jason gave her space and he needed to prepare her for what was about to come. Besides, he's not yet ready too. He's preparing himself as well. The drums of war were now rolling and he could see that they were almost ready. The smokes had been rising for days and the skies were no longer peaceful. The air was now arid of metal and the music played by the clang of swords and swishes of magic if not by the striking of lightning. The Palace was once a small peaceful community but someone was shaking it and it was just expected that these moments would arrive. They had the advantage of they prepared and the Magicians were just lucky because they had someone who had seen everything before.
Rudolf had been secretly amazed on how Ray managed to keep the place so peacefully intact while it was available for humans at the same time. The magic there was as strong as the first time it was built. The secret was placing a portal which a Siren made. Siren's portals were the most powerful portals in the whole magical realms. As that they were gatekeepers, they placed that options in each of the gates they were making so it would be available to them anywhere they were sent to go. Making these portals was not easy though. A Siren must be powerful enough to draw all the potential energies enough to create the tunnels and hole to the countless galaxies in the entire cosmo. Deciding to make one was like deciding to get a vacation to hell. A Siren must spent mortal months to gain their energies back. That was for the best of them and some did not just go lucky enough to survive. He wondered what Ray had sacrificed for this portal. All things needed sacrifice
The white ceilings and the ancient stone halls shone brightly that day - more brighter than the days before. The Council gathered on the White Hall of the Time Palace, certain in rejoicing the waking of the Phoenix. There were wines and wine glasses in the hall and there was food. Travelers had been busy all night drinking up themselves. "She is not yet awake," Rex said. "We can't celebrate yet. Rex aka Jason was the last who entered the hall and he was surprised on what greeted him. He could not blame them but this was not even appropriate. They had to prepare themselves more than ever and what a shame for them when she returned and found out this. No one responded them as it happened that they were all knocked down on the floors. The Council was a little group of Travelers who the Phoenix had chosen and said to be the best. He wondered how they'd become the best. It must be some wild parties. Wine and liquor bottles collected from different
