“Sure, turn around” Carlos said. Amy furrowed her eyebrows and did as he asked him to. She suddenly felt a strong arm wrapped round her waist.

“W..what are you doing?” She stammered. She could feel his whole body and wasn’t feeling comfortable with it.

“Try get yourself free from my grip without stepping on my toe” he said. That was Amy’s initial plan, to step on his toe. Carlos saw the way she tried to escape. A smile crept on his face as he held her. He sniffed her hair and drew his lips closer to her neck.

“I can’t do it” she said.

“Try harder” he said. He just wanted to hug her and stay like that for a long time.

“Carlos? Carlos?” She called out but he didn’t reply. She stepped on his toe till he got himself back.

“I’m sorry” he said, letting go of her.

“It’s okay, what happened to you?” She asked.

“It’s nothing, let’s just go” he said and took his jacket. He didn’t have the chance to change his clothes. Even if he was from a rich family, he still chose to make his money himself. They got into the car and they drove off. He dropped her off.

“See you on Monday” he said. She waved and watched him as he drove away. She turned and walked into the house.

“Aunt, I’m home” she said. Her aunt sighted her and rolled her eyes.

“Aunt?” She called out.

“What do you want Amy?!” She yelled.

“Can I go out with my friends tomorrow?”

“No! Go to your room! Now!” She yelled. Amy sighed and shook her head. She was expecting that so she isn’t surprised.

“Instead of you to get a f*cking job and make a living for yourself, you chose to go out with your friends that has parents to cater for their needs. Fool!” Kathy said. Amelia heard all of that but she didn’t feel hurt. She just took off her dress and hit the shower. She thought about what her aunt said, for her to get a job. Of course, she would want to do that.

She chose to go for a job hunt tomorrow than to go out with her friends. It would make her more social.

The wolves already planned to attack when It’s dark already. They went out, under the sunlight, standing on their own border. This time they were in their human self because it was day. They could only shape shift when it’s night.

“When the moon is fully in the sky, we’d clear all their specie!” The Alpha king, Elon said. His other wolves were with him. They were panting, breathing fast. They wished the day should just rush faster and they should go over with all this immediately. They could wait to trespass their own border to attack the vampires.

The vampires also just couldn’t wait for the wolves to attack already so they could deal with them once and for all. They wanted to have the whole land to themselves.

Amy dressed in a causal wear. She let her long hair fall on her shoulder. She didn’t apply any make up, she was naturally beautiful. She didn’t even tell her aunt that she was leaving because she would just say the same word, whatever.

She left the house and set out to start looking for a job, she would apply for anyone she see. She doesn’t care the nature of the job.

She got rejected in stores, even restaurant. They told her that they didn’t need any more staffs. She didn’t feel hurt at all, she just kept on trying her best.

She was walking by the pedestrian lane when she heard a loud music. She turned and saw Emma with the others. They were heading to the beach already. They didn’t even see her or noticed her at all. She shook her head and wished she could just follow them but she knew she couldn’t. She kept on walking till she found a fancy building. It was a new club that was just opened. She saw the manager outside, they were setting the sign of the club up when she walked to him.

“Hello sir, I’m Amelia Cortez”

“I don’t have money to give you now. I left my wallet inside” the manager replied.

“I don’t need your money. I need a job please” she said. The manager turned and stared at her, wearing a surprised look on his face.

“You need a job?” He asked. She nodded her head.

“I.. I could help with that. This club will be officially opened on Monday, we need staffs, especially waiters” he said, staring at her from head to toe.

“And you look capable. Come with me” he added and took her to his office.

He gave her what she needed to start the job.

“You can come on Monday. You would be working from 6pm to 10pm” he said.

“Thank you so much sir. I really appreciate it” she said and left happily. She finally found a job of her own. She couldn’t wait to tell her aunt the good news. As she was running quickly, she bumped into someone and accidentally spilled her chocolate shake.

“F*ck! What did you do to my skirt?!” She yelled and raised her head. That was when she saw that it was the senior from yesterday.

“I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to do that” she apologized.

“Seem like your boyfriend isn’t here to save you from me” she said, smirking. She opened the cup and poured it on her body. Passerby watched as she did all of that. They shot their mouth wide open. Amy didn’t utter a word. She just smiled at her again. Everyone thinks she’s weird.

“I’m sorry” she said and left.

“What did she just… Argh! I hate her!”

Amy got into the house and closed the door behind.

“Why do I smell chocolate shake?” Kathy asked.

“That would be me” she replied.

“Whatever” she rolled her eyes and was about to go when Amy broke the news to her.

“I’ve gotten a job” she said. Her aunt stopped halfway and turned to face her.

“I said I’ve gotten a job” she said again.

“I hope it’s not you being a wh*re” she said. Amy sighed deeply and walked towards her aunt.

“I’m an adult now aunt. I’m able to decide what to do with my own life and also whatever I want to do”

“Shut up Amy!” Kathy growled angrily.

“Why? You just keep treating me like I am nothing. If you never wanted me, why raise me?!” She yelled.

“Shut up! Don’t let me hit you Amy!” Kathy yelled again, she was getting pissed off by the minute.

“Make me shut up! I’m like this because of you. I don’t have friends, people just treat me like I’m dirt, I’m unwanted in everyone’s life. Instead of you to treat me like your own and be happy for me, you chose not to. I hate you aunt, I really do” she said and left. Kathy couldn’t believe her ears. This was the first time Amy would say something like that to her. She sank on the old sofa, slipping her finger into her hair.

Amy laid on the bed, thinking about her life and where it has gotten to. She couldn’t wait to start her new job and make some new friends.

When it was evening, Emma and her boyfriend were beside the water, playing.

“No, I’m not” she said.

“Of course you are” he teased her.

“Ouch” she groaned in pain and checked her foot. Something in the water pricked her foot.

“Are you hurt?” He asked.

“I think so. There’s something in the water” she replied and dipped her hand into the water. They saw a book, it looked like books from the early 18s.

“What is that?” He asked.

“I have no idea” she replied and walked towards the others. She sat down beside them and opened it.

“Check this out guys, here’s what we found in the water” she said. They checked it and was amazed. Emma managed to open the book. But it was dried inside.

“How is that possible?” One of them asked.

“I think it’s a game”

“Let’s play it” she said.

“No, I don’t think it’s a good idea. We have no idea where it came from. What if it’s a trap” one other girl rebuked.

“It’s not. We’re gonna play the game tonight. I’ll go get some snacks” Emma said and left. They all exchanged glances with each other. They had no idea where this was going to lead to or what’s going to happen after the game.

Emma came back with some snacks and drinks.

“Come on, let’s get started” she said, rubbing her palms together. She loved games like this.
