تسجيل الدخول**Raina's POV**
It took a while for the burning sensation in my stomach to stop. When I could finally breathe without my gut feeling like it was being ripped from the inside out, I went to the kitchen to prepare lunch.
The packhouse had plenty of omegas who were supposed to be responsible for such tasks, but I was tasked to do the majority of it.
All because I was different.
I sighed, looking at the dishes in the sink. They couldn’t even have the decency to wash the dishes they used for breakfast.
Pushing my anger down, I walked to the sink and grabbed the sponge before pouring some of the dishwashing liquid on it.
As I began to wash the dishes, a few omegas walked into the kitchen and moments later, I heard them talking.
“I don’t like being in the kitchen when she’s here,” one of them said.
“Oh, just ignore her. Everyone treats her like she’s invisible anyway,” her friend responded.
“Have you seen how big she is? She’s NOT invisible,” the other female said and laughed. “Damn, four of me could fit in her pants.”
I bit my lower lip, trying hard to ignore their mockery.
They couldn’t even bother to keep their voices down as they talked about me. I mean, I was just there.
I didn’t blame them though. My own family treated me like trash. Why would I expect people who were not related to me to treat me any different?
“Come on, girls. That’s not nice,” an annoying voice reached my ears and I coiled my hands into fists.
I knew she would smell Silas’ scent on me and give me hell again.
“Don’t talk about my sister like that… she can hear you, she has feelings too, you know.”
“M-Miss Gwen, we are sorry, we didn’t mean to.”
I rolled my eyes.
They respected Gwen because she was a beauty, and me? I was not worth respecting just because of how I looked, even if I was also from a Beta family.
“We won’t do it again,” the females said in unison.
“That’s alright. My big sis is very kind. She’s already forgiven you,” Gwen said, and after the omegas left the kitchen, she approached me and stood next to me.
“Big sis, are you joining the hunting games today?” She asked, and I glanced at her, silently asking if she had gone mad.
Since when did I participate in pack activities?
I was this pack’s dirty secret.
They didn’t want anyone to see me and know that they have someone like me in their pack.
“I have some reading to do,” I answered anyway. If I ignored her, she wouldn’t leave until she provoked me into responding.
I knew her smile was all fake. She’s the same person who talked shit about me behind my back and enticed people to bully me.
“Really?” Gwen asked in an exaggerated tone. “Oh well, I guess you will have to miss out. I hear Silas is granting the winner a wish.”
I felt my ears perk up, my heart slamming hard against my ribcage.
A wish…
This could be my chance to escape this horrible life. I have nowhere to go, but living as a rogue was surely better than this hellhole.
Gwen suddenly giggled. “Oh my… see how thoughtless I am… how can I suggest you join the hunting games when you can’t even run without breathing heavily?”
There it was… her true colours always slipped out in the end.
“Don’t worry, you wouldn’t win anyway, so you won’t miss anything,” Gwen said, patting my back. “I gotta go warm up. I’ll be going with Silas to the hunting grounds. You know… it’s his way of slowly introducing me as his Luna.”
A pang of pain shot through my heart, making a lump form in my throat. No matter how much I tried to swallow, it wouldn’t go away.
Yeah… Silas deserved a Luna like Gwen. At least he wouldn’t be ashamed of her. He would even want her to have his babies.
Hours later, I was done with the chores, and I finally found some free time and decided to join the hunting games, hoping I wasn’t too late.
My heart raced when I made my way to the hunting grounds. Everyone was settled in the clearing. A big tent was set up where the visiting packs were resting before the games began.
From the auras blanketing the place, I could tell it was filled with very powerful Alphas and Betas.
This was the first time I was joining a hunting game, so I just approached people from my pack. Silas was addressing them, and Gwen had her arms hooked around his like a koala bear. It was like she was staking her claim so that everyone knew who the Alpha belonged to.
I swallowed my pain and approached the crowd, hoping to stay hidden.
But someone who weighed one ninety pounds in a werewolf pack could do so little to hide herself. I always drew attention everywhere I went.
As usual, I heard a few snickers, and my stomach churned. I felt self-aware.
Like everyone in this clearing was looking at me and laughing at my appearance.
“Hey fatso, what do you think you’re doing here?” Silas’ beta, Jake, sneered, and the rest of the crowd laughed.
“I was wondering why this place stank. Turns out we have a pig in our midst,” someone from the crowd sneered, and everyone laughed again.
I felt my eyes blur with tears, and I lowered my face to hide the single tear that stubbornly rolled down my cheek.
“Seriously, why is she here? The other pack members are staring. They must think we won’t be good at the hunting games after seeing that we have a baby elephant with us,” someone else complained.
“Let her be… I’m sure she’s just here for tonight's feast. After all, it seems eating is what she’s good at,” someone snickered, and everyone laughed louder than earlier.
I dug my nails into my palms, and I felt my wolf's anger rising.
I raised my head and glanced at Silas, only to find him snickering along with everyone, and my heart clenched painfully.
“Yeah… there’s no way she’s joining the games,” he sneered, and I felt something snap within me, giving me the courage I needed to do what I came here to do.
“I am joining the games,” I said, my voice loud and clear despite the painful lump in my throat. “I’m going to win and have my wish granted.”
**Rowan's POV** "Ethan, this is your sixteenth birthday, and I know you have parents, but as your big brother, I wanted to be the first one to give you your gift," I said, looking at Ethan, who stood at the center, near his ridiculously huge cake. He had already cut his cake and fed Mom, Rita, and, annoyingly, Raina. I wasn't going to fight with him today because it was his day, but I'll give him a piece of my mind later. How dare he feed my Raina cake? I glared at him the entire time, and I was sure he felt my stare, but the little fuck ignored me. "Thanks, big bro," Ethan said. "I can't wait to see it. And I love it already." I smiled before pulling out a box. "Whoa... wait a minute. Are you proposing?" Ethan asked with fake shock. "That's not right, bro. I'm straight, and we are brothers." The audience laughed, and I shook my head. Teens. "Very funny," I said, rolling my eyes. "As your brother, I wanted to be the first one to buy you your first car. I know you'
Over seven years later... **Raina's POV** They say nobody owns time. It cannot be controlled, and neither can it be stopped. Before I could tell what was happening, seven years had passed. It was seven years filled with everything we've ever dreamed of. Our home didn't lack the three things I considered important in life- love, peace and joy. The triplets had grown so much, and when they turned four, we adopted three pups, making the number of pups we have six. We got two girls and one boy to balance out, so that we would have three girls and three boys. Rhea, Hailey and Theo were so adorable. We got them when they were just babies, so they didn't even know they were adopted. In the future, we will tell them, but only after assuring them we wouldn't love them any less. They were ours. Our children. Whether I carried them in my womb or not. "Luna, it's time," one of the omegas we had come with to the Nightshade Pack announced. Today was Ethan’s sixteenth birthday, and the
**Raina's POV** Days came and went. I can't say being a mother was easy. It was the hardest thing I had ever done. I said goodbye to sleep. We had help, but still, as a mother, every little thing woke me up. I wanted to be present at all the stages in the triplets' lives... no matter how tiring caring for newborns was. Thank the Goddess for giving me a mate like Rowan. He was a hands-on Dad. He took turns with me in taking care of the triplets. I would sleep while he stayed up to take care of them and feed them with the breast milk I had pumped in advance. I could see that he was enjoying being a father. He loved taking care of the triplets and bathed them more than I did. Our friends and family were also supportive. They came through to babysit when we needed a break, and it made the whole experience very manageable. Three months had passed, and the pups had grown a bit. They had these juicy cheeks and smooth skin. It was tempting to want to squeeze those adorable chee
**Rowan’s POV**“Alpha, please stay calm. You’re more nervous than the Luna,” Doctor Natalie said, but I didn’t even register her words. My forehead was covered in beads of sweat. I could feel my heart pounding in my ears like a war drum, and my stomach was twisting and turning with nerves. “Why is she in so much pain?” I asked, looking down at Raina, who was covered in sweat from head to toe. Her eyes were shut, and her brows were creased. She had bitten her lower lip, stopping herself from screaming her lungs out, and she was trying to block me out from feeling her pain, but I could still feel it. A few hours ago, her water had broken. After months of a beautiful, long journey, it was now time for us to meet our triplets. However, I didn’t expect Raina to be in so much pain. She looked like she would pass out at any second, but she was trying her best to hang on for our pups. “That’s how it is, Alpha. Bringing life into this earth is not easy… If our Luna was human, we would h
**Raina's POV** A week had passed since we found out the news that I was carrying triplets. When we told our parents, they were over the moon, and Lydia immediately began to plan a party to announce the pregnancy and celebrate with the pack members. She had asked me if it was alright, and I was ok with it. There was no need to hide the blessings... Selene gave them to us, which meant they were here to stay regardless of whether people knew or not. I was helping to serve the pups food and drinks, while Rowan was chatting with the Gammas. He had invited Flynn, but he was a no-show, saying he didn't want to run into people he shouldn't run into. I understood where he was coming from, but it wasn't fair to the person he was avoiding. It wasn't her fault that things turned out that way. The goddess had a twisted sense of humour sometimes. We could never understand her intentions. Our parents were having fun, dancing and laughing. The party was held at the Alpha's mansion. It had
**Raina's POV**On our way to the hospital, I couldn't help noticing how Rowan’s heart was pounding in his chest. He had raised his walls, so I couldn't read his mind or tell what he was feeling. But I could tell that he was really worried. "Rowan, I'm fine. Did something happen while I was asleep?" I asked. "No," he gave me a small smile. "I just need to make sure you're ok. I noticed something... but I can't be sure unless you take some tests. Please hold on until then. I'll tell you what I noticed." I nodded, deciding to follow his lead. He seemed really worried, and I wanted to calm him down. So doing the tests was all I could do for now. We arrived at the hospital, and Doctor Natalie got to work immediately. She drew my blood and did a blood test. When the results were ready, Doctor Natalie returned to her office and sat in her chair opposite us. "So, what do the results say?" Rowan asked, his voice a little excited. Wait... Why was he excited? "Alpha, I have so
**Rowan’s POV**“Alpha, I think it’s strange that we are suddenly having intruders when the very mention of your name used to scare them off,” Flynn said as we got to the border. “Could it be that these people are after your Alpha position?”I hadn’t told Flynn about Raina’s special wolf. He probabl
**Rowan’s POV**“Don’t question her immediately, Alpha,” Flynn advised as he got into my Jeep. “Let’s find her and then interrogate her. If she was involved in bringing in an intruder, she might run away once she knows we're onto her.”I clenched my hands around the steering wheel, my blood boiling.
**Rowan’s POV**My arms instinctively tightened around Raina, and my wolf went into full alert protection mode after she told me about feeling a dark presence behind her in the forest. I furrowed my eyebrows, wondering if we still had an intruder in the pack who had gone undetected. ‘Nathan, take
**Raina’s POV**“A special Alpha’s service, huh?” I murmured while lying on my stomach. “Is this special Alpha service for everyone?”Rowan was kneading my ass so gently… the way his hands felt on my body… the sparks and tingles exploding between us... I loved it. “It won’t be special if it’s for
