Chapter 03. Marry me!

“This is all Ruby’s fault! How could she betray her mate? What’s not to like about Alpha Levin? He’s handsome and comes from a respectable family!”

After attacking the Beta who sent her food, Ruby came out with a black hood covering her face. She looked around, pretending to be a maid.

“Poor Rose. She sacrificed herself for our pack.” One spoke in a sympathetic tone.

Her pack mates seemed to be talking about her.

“You needn’t worry. Rose is a good woman. I’m sure Alpha Levin will love her after the wedding.”

“Right. Rose’s nature and behavior are much better than Ruby’s.”

“Maybe Rose’s love story will have a happy ending, like in fairy tales.”

“What did you say? Repeat it!” Ruby appeared and tugged at the ignorant girl’s collar.

“Ru-Ruby!”

They immediately bowed in respect.

“Tell me what happened!” Ruby spoke in a demanding tone.

“Rose is replacing you to marry Alpha Levin.” She replied anxiously.

“How dare she!” Ruby let go of the girl and ran into Rose’s room, her eyes darkening. Her emotions made it impossible for her to think clearly.

Rose had betrayed everyone.

“Shameless!” Ruby cursed as she slammed the door to Rose’s room.

Rose, who was putting on her makeup, took a quick look.

“You’re so loud! Could you be more polite when you enter someone’s room?” She stood up and looked at Ruby with a sneer.

“How dare you betray your own family!” Ruby snapped at Rose. The sister who usually gave her a loving look was now looking at her coldly, as if she were a stranger.

Was this the real Rose?

“You are slandering me! I know it must be your plan to marry Levin, right?”

“It is not my plan.” She grinned. “And I don’t think I need to explain who it was.”

Ruby bit her lower lip. “No way! You must be lying. Levin is not a sneaky person like you!”

Levin might have betrayed her, but he was not the kind of man who would create such a devious scenario.

"My innocent sister." Rose looked at Ruby with pity. "You're so stupid, dear. No wonder you didn't realize my relationship with Levin."

“Why are you doing this to me?” Ruby couldn’t pretend to be strong anymore. Her tears fell because of Rose’s change.

Her sister who loved her so much. This was not the Rose she knew.

Rose approached Ruby. “This is the real me. Do you really think I love you?”

“How can I love someone who has taken everything from me?” Rose raised her voice. There was resentment and disappointment in her tone.

“Ever since you were born, everything has changed so much that I wish you were dead!”

“Ah, but things have changed now.” Rose smiled as she rubbed Ruby’s cheek. “Everyone hates you. Everyone thinks you’re a fraud and I’m the savior of this wolf pack.”

Ruby threw her fist and Rose jumped out of the way. Ruby couldn’t hold back anymore. She turned into a wolf ready to attack.

“The angrier you get, the more everyone will hate you.” Rose crossed her arms. She looked at Ruby with a fearless look, even though Ruby had the upper hand in strength.

“Save your words for after I teach you a lesson!”

Ruby attacked Rose directly. The woman froze, as if she didn’t take Ruby’s attack seriously. But Ruby wasn’t playing around.

“RUBY!!!”

Alpha Ian quickly pulled Ruby up and slammed his daughter into the wall. Ruby’s punch created a large and terrible hole in Rose’s room.

“How dare you attack in my house!” Alpha Ian snapped loudly. His daughter’s behavior was out of line. He could no longer tolerate it.

“I wasn’t wrong! She tricked you, Dad!” Ruby shouted as she pointed at Rose. “She’s a fucking bitch!”

“I’m sorry, Ruby. I know you love Alpha Levin, but he asked me to be your replacement. He wanted me.”

“Stop your theatrics! I know that you and Levin planned this!” Ruby shouted accusingly to Rose.

“Stop it, Ruby!” Alpha Ian yanked his daughter’s arm roughly.

The rest of her pack stared at the incident. They gave Ruby hateful looks. No one stepped forward to defend her. Ruby had once been very close to some of them. But now they turned their faces away.

Was Ruby really no longer in their hearts?

“What a shame!” Alpha Ian threw Ruby’s body to the ground. “You are the child I raised with love, but you are the one who destroyed me.”

“Get out of here and never come back!”

Ruby gasped at her father’s words.

“No, Dad, you can’t do this. I’m your daughter!”

“You are no longer my daughter. My only daughter is Rose!”

In a fit of rage, Alpha Ian broke the bond with the only child of his own blood.

“Get out of here!” He chased her away.

Two of his men dragged Ruby’s body to the gate.

Ruby wept alone in the middle of the night. There was no purpose. There was no home to return to. She still couldn’t believe her father had thrown her out like this.

“I can’t cry!” Ruby began to think that she had to survive somehow.

The rain was heavy outside as Henry looked out the window and saw a familiar figure standing at his gate, which surprised him.

“What is it, Henry?”

“Bring me an umbrella!” Henry ran quickly.

His trusty Beta grabbed the umbrella and quickly followed him.

The maid opened the door and stared in confusion as Henry ran forward.

“Ruby!” he called as he opened the gate. “Why are you here at this time of night?”

Ruby didn’t answer, her body shaking with cold. She raised her face to look at Henry.

"Marry me, Henry!"
