Jaxon

Blue was starting to drive me nuts. I could barely think straight when I was around her. Every word, every refusal, her denial, it was all grinding on my last nerve and yet I knew that I needed her. I wanted her. I was desperate to have her.

Sitting in the car for a little while, my phone starts ringing.

“Cece?” I mutter into the phone as I pick it up. She was the only one who rang me. She was always paranoid that someone would be listening in to our private mind link conversations. I hadn’t had the heart to tell her that the phone would be much worse.

“Jaxon, where are you?”

“I told you, we are tracking our mate.”

“You’ve found her haven’t you! It’s why you and Xander have hardly been home.”

“Yes. We found her.”

“Well, what is she like? Are you going to accept this one? When are we going to meet her?”

“You can’t say anything to father.”

The line goes quiet. “She’s not a Lycan is she?”

My pause confirms her suspicions.

“Please tell me that you are not mated to a human.”
