Upon hearing the word courtesan, my feet retreated. Being wronged as a courtesan was the last thing Mom wanted me to be. I did not have anything against them. Sometimes, poverty would push you to do something even if it contradicted what you believed. But still, Mom always knew what I was up to in this place.

Someone whistled.

Big and bulky men, whose bellies were as big as a mountain, watched me with eagle eyes. Some winked at me while the others whistled.

I gulped. Why did I go after the kid again?

To escape from Beta Arthur and Honora and to the Lycan King himself, I reminded myself.

Why don't you go back to your pack and go to your parents as well?
