Chapter 5 - Rogue History

Lee

“Okay, all done. Your wolf is pretty strong. I am impressed,” Debs made a note in her file as she sat at her table again. I wrapped myself in the blanket again. “You can turn around again, Alpha,” Debs spoke and the King guy turned around, looking at us.

Debs introduced herself as Debby and told me to call her Debs. She asked me a bunch of questions and I answered them as honestly as I can since I don’t really know about all the things she asked. She did not seem surprised when I told her I have never been to a doctor or a hospital in my whole life.

“Oh, before I forget, Lee. For how long have you been a rogue?” Debs got me out of my thoughts. I looked up at her as I was staring at the floor while I was thinking about things.

“Since I was five,” I replied. Both of them suddenly looked at me surprised. The King guy was frowning obviously.

“How did you become a rogue?” He asked and I don’t feel like answering him.

“Lee, you will have to answer him. We need to know this information,” Debs spoke kindly and I looked at her.

“My previous alpha took me into a room and started to touch me in places I did not like. So, I killed him,” I gave them the short version of how things went down that night.

Debs got a bit pale and she looked at the King guy. He was a bit pale too.

“You killed Alpha Kazz?” Debs is trying not to let her shock be present in her voice. I lifted up my shoulder.

“I can’t remember his name. All I can remember is that his pack bought me from a slave trader when I was about three or four years old. And I was five when I killed him for making me angry by touching me where he shouldn’t have,” I responded and Debs nodded.

“We heard the stories that he was a child molester. But we never had proof. We took the pack in after we heard that the alpha was killed in his own bed,” Debs is glad about the guy being dead. It is evident in her voice and on her face.

“Wait, you were bought by them from a slave trader at three?” the King guy suddenly asked and I nodded at that. He and Debs looked at each other before they looked at me again.

“Why can you remember that time of your life or did someone tell you that?” Debs asked and I noticed that The King guy has picked up that I am more willing to answer her questions. At least the king is not an idiot and does not demand answers from me when I don’t want to respond to him. I do believe he understands why.

“I just do. Over the years the memories became clear as I started to understand things better,” I responded and Debs nodded.

“You said you were turning 18 tomorrow, right?” She asked again and I nodded at her. “How can you already shift?” She added and I saw both of them looking at me with seriousness.

“I just can. Suaco has been with me since I could remember. She has been my life since I could remember. If it was not for her, that Alpha would have gotten his way,” I am not even feeling angry about that part of my life anymore. It happened long ago and I must say that I have gotten much stronger over the years.

I could tell that the King guy was a bit uneasy since he did not look me in the eyes. “Do you hate men now since that Alpha tried anything with you?” He suddenly asked and I did not expect him to ask that question. I tilted my head to the side as I looked at him. Naturally, a frown appeared on my face too.

“I can barely remember what happened back then. For all I know I could have misinterpreted the whole thing too,” I responded and he frowned now. Debs sighed.

“Whether you know what he did or not. The rumors were there, so we can believe what you remember to be true. The only thing that is surprising to us, is the fact that you killed him at the age of five with or without your wolf, that is still a massive thing,” Debs explained and I guess having so much strength for a little body is weird.

I don’t know how to respond to her saying things like that. I don’t know what to say. All I can do is look at her as if I am guilty of something I did wrong. Which I did not. The only thing I feel guilty for is giving Dante that scar. Oh, right. I should ask about the scar. “How is Dante doing? With the right arm. You know, the scar has caused him some immoble issues,” I asked concerned and this made them both look at each other and frown at me.

“How do you know Dante has a scar? He has hidden it pretty well, until I needed to examine him. He did not want to share how he got it. He believes it will change someone’s reputation if I knew,” Debs is looking at me with seriousness.

“He has already asked to become part of the pack. Why would you concern yourself with him?” The King Guy added. Oh, so he is already being protective over Dante?

“Well, Dante was always so considerate of everyone’s things. You see, the life of rogues is not easy and you rarely find a nice wolf outside of a pack. Dante is not a fighter at heart or born to be one. So, he attacked me one day and that scar is the result of that day,” I tried to make it sound less cruel, but let’s be honest. It doesn’t make my case better at all.

“I see, why are you the cause of his issues too?” The King guy asked with a sigh.

“What? He attacked me first. And like I said, who would think to say a friendly greeting to a rogue that just finished her hunt?” I tried to defend myself again. Seriously, doesn’t this guy listen?

“And I take it that you used a pure silver knife?” Debs asked and I let the very same knife appear out of thin air. They looked at each other again in silence before looking back at me. Probably using that mind-link thing I heard about that the packs can use.

“How did you make that appear? Do you have powers?” Debs asked and I nodded at her. “Yes, I have powers. It is not linked to my wolf. I believe this is the reason I can keep the silver collar from burning me completely,” I know I need to be honest here. This guy can kill me. He wanted to kill me today too.

I believe if I did not get aroused by his dominance over me, I would have been dead already. He was distracted today but that does not mean that the next time will be in my favor. “What? Are we gonna stay in this pack forever?” Suaco asked and I took a deep breath in.

“Maybe we can let him trust us and ask him to let us go one day. Afterall, he is not our mate. Not that we are looking for one,” I replied to her and I could feel that she would agree to this suggestion for now.

It is the only one I can see working at the moment that will ensure that we can stay alive. “Or we can seduce him,” Suaco added another suggestion and that option seems easier to do at this moment since it already won me today.

“So, you are mixed with a magic user?” The King guy seemed fascinated by this fact. “Just like Caroline?” He added and I finally know the name of the female he is in love with. Couldn’t hide it from me for too long.

“Alpha, do you really think they are related? I know they may share the same birthday, but that doesn’t mean they are twins,” Debs suddenly spoke and that made me frown.

“They have the same hair color. Almost the same face shape too. The height might be the only difference between the two,” he compared to me our features. I don’t mind him doing it, but who is Caroline? I don’t know who she is.

“They… I can do a DNA test when she arrives tomorrow,” Debs gave in and the guy nodded.

“Chris is ready to take you to your room. She organized some clothes for you too. She will also give you more stuff you need for now,” the King guy added before leaving the room. He was acting weird the moment he used that girl’s name. Wonder what made her so special to him. I can tell that no other female will come close to her.

He might even use her face in his mind when he is doing the nasty to one of his toys. The thought made me giggle as I saw the face of the blond toy that was locked up in the dungeon with me. If she only knew that he was doing her with a picture of someone looking like me in his head. Poor soul will be crushed.

“You can go meet Chris outside. I will let you know if your blood tests are showing anything we need to worry about,” Debs smiled and I left the room after greeting her with a friendly smile. She was nice to me. I can’t be cruel or mean to her.
