Chapter 7 - Spilling the tea.

I didn’t care if he poisoned the food. I didn’t want to die, but it would be better than anything he had planned for me. Okay, so my opinion of mates was warped. Finding out that Liam was my mate was probably the worst experience of my life, although finding out the Lycan king was my second chance mate turned out to be a close second.

“I came here because of werewolves like you.” He broke the silence and I frowned. What did he mean by that?! Did he come here because of rogues? Females being kicked out of their packs?! What the hell did I do that was so horrific that the Lycan king felt he had to take everyone prisoner?! When I didn’t say anything, he continued.

“I heard stories of how some packs treated their lower ranked wolves badly.” He frowned as though he was straining to tell the story, and it piqued my interest. Did he also have a secret he wasn’t ready to share? I patiently waited for him to continue. “I myself lost someone important because of the greed of werewolves.”
