Kemira-
My name is Kemira, and I’m a mess. At least, that is what everyone tells me. I’m almost twenty years old. I work at the pack house. Both my parents and my older brother have beta blood coursing through them. But I never got my wolf on my eighteenth birthday. My parents all but ignore me. My brother finds every chance to humiliate me when he is around his friends. I hate it here. I am waiting for the first opportunity to leave. Yet I am watched like a hawk. The only person who was ever nice to me was Luna Fiona. She was killed by rogues protecting my lack of a wolf. So the entire pack hates me for that reason. “I’ll never understand why Luna gave her life for such a useless omega. I mean, she doesn’t even have a wolf. She should have died instead of Luna.” I’m in the bathrooms scrubbing them, and I hear Gemma and her followers outside talking. I hold my breath, trying not to move an inch. But I know they smell my scent. Wolves have a great sense of smell and sight. “There you are! The alpha is looking for you, runt. You better hurry.” Gemma stands on my hand as I remain silent. Not giving in to the pain. If I show her, it gets to me. She loves it even more. She bends over and grips my hair. “Why don’t you just run away. Or end your life altogether. No one here wants you.” “Gemma, where is she? My father is not to wait!” An angry Alpha Lev turns into the entrance to the women’s bathroom. He is stunning and even angry. His grey eyes and dark brown hair are just like his mom's. His chiseled jawline and large musculature. That is all his dad, Alpha Leopold. Gemma grinds her heel into my hand as I grimace in pain, and then she releases me. “Yes, babe, I found her. Goofing off on chores.” Gemma lies. She has been dating Lev since forever. She plans to be Luna, but they are not mated. So she is waiting for him to claim her as his mate. I have had a crush on him my entire life. Especially with my brother being his best friend and future Beta. Yet, they all hate me because of losing Luna. “Get in his office now!” he yells at me. “Yes, Alpha.” I jump quickly, not making eye contact. Gemma trips me, and I fall to the floor. My hands are raw and bruised, but I am used to it. “Such a clumsy waste of space.” She continues as she walks over to Lev and holds on to him. He pulls her close, and I hurry by them. I hear them all laughing as I rush to the Alpha’s office. It’s crazy because when we were kids, Alpha Lev and I were really good friends. When he would train with my brother, he always invited me along. Then Gemma transferred from her grandfather’s pack. The moment she saw him, she wanted him. No matter. I saw many evil things happen at her hands to other girls. But Lev seemed to fall for her even more. They were meant to be. I make it quickly to Alpha Leopold’s office. I knock, awaiting his permission to enter. I find my parents in there as well as my brother. They all stare with hatred in their eyes at me. I am the embarrassment of the family. Both of my parents are of beta blood. My brother is a beta, and it’s been almost two years since my eighteenth birthday, and no wolf. Making me an omega. The lowest of the low. The omegas cook, clean, farm…all the manual labor. Next, Alpha Lev and Gemma enter the room. I stand in the middle, wearing my tattered cleaning uniform. My hand-me-down shoes. “Kemira, thank you for finding the time to grace us with your presence. It’s been brought to my attention that your birthday is coming up. If you haven’t found your mate, we will need to find some way for you to work off your debt.” He begins. “Debt? What debt?” I speak, and he puts out his aura through gritted teeth. I flinch as if in pain. I feel nothing, though. His power doesn’t affect me, but I know if I tell anyone, they will make my life much worse. “Yes, your debt for taking the life of my mate. For doing your evil work to trick my Luna into thinking you need help. Luckily, Gemma was there to tell us what happened. Otherwise, we would never know of your true evils.” That has been the story. I lured Luna into the forest. She tried to save me, and I ran, leaving her to fight off four wolves. I told them that’s not what happened, but Gemma told them she saw it all. They took her word over mine. I’ve no clue because she has hated me so. But the entire pack believes her, and I am nothing but pure evil. “But…” I begin, then I hear my father growl. “Do not interrupt your Alpha. You are lucky he doesn’t put you in the cells!” My dad, Beta Baldwin, speaks with such anger. I look to my mother, whom I have the same stone white hair. The same golden-brown skin. She looks at me in disgust. I look to the floor, accepting whatever they say. I just know the first moment I get, I will run. There is nothing here for me. I have no wolf to comfort me. I am truly all alone.Unknown POVI slam the glass down. It breaks within my hand. Blood begins to pool in my palm. I am too enraged to even feel the pain. I returned to my hideout to find it surrounded by wolves from a nearby pack. My new mate is gone. I hadn’t even gotten the chance to break her in properly. She was so sweet and passive. Just how I like them. She would have been a perfect holding spot until I got my true desire back. Kemira. Goddess even saying her name gets me hard. Now my replacement is gone and so is my damn child! I know only one person who would be looking for me this hard. Wanting to take away all of my happiness. King Tiberius and King Takoa. Damn them both to hell! How dare they both continue to stand in the way of my happiness! I promise I will seek my revenge and claim Kemira as my own. I’ll mark her over and over until she begs to be mine. I grab the large decanter and throw it against the wall. I’m in this hotel room that I’m hiding out in. Using an alias so that
Kemira- “Mierta, it is very nice to meet you.” I smile, and she does the same. “If you ever want to talk about anything, I will always be here to help you." “Thank you, my Queen. I do have a few questions.” I nod as Riyadh holds the toddler, and Ryne sits on the couch as Takoa joins him. “Sure! Go ahead.” “The guy. He hasn’t left my side. Is there a reason why?” She asks me as her eyes cut over to Ryne. “Why? Do you feel something when you look at him?” I ask her. “I just feel different around him. But I don’t know why.” “Well, how old are you, Mierta?” “I’m seventeen.” She tells me as she looks over to check on the baby. “She is hungry, Ms. Riyadh.” “I will get her bottle ready.” Riyadh smiles as she carries the baby to the kitchenette. Ryne is there to help and holds the baby as the bottle is made. “What is the baby’s name?” I ask. “Leah, she is such a good baby. Barely even cries.” Mierta smiles. “How long will I be he
KemiraThe next morning, after breakfast with the girls, I decided it’s time to handle Lexie. We need to come to an understanding. I told Takoa about my plans. He has set up a meeting to take place in his office. As we sit behind his desk, we hear a knock on the door. Giving them permission to enter, we see Lexie enter. She has handcuffs on her wrists and is without her usual ton of makeup. She doesn’t need it. She is a natural beauty. She is brought in by a top warrior named Emmanuel. He is a larger broody type. A shaved bald head and tattoos on his head. Lexie gives a look of concern as she sees me sitting behind the desk of the king. She is instructed to sit in one of the chairs. Takoa stands next to my chair. “Lexie. It seems we need to come to a decision on your life.” I begin as I see fear cover her face. “I… I really didn’t know what was going on. He told me he wanted his mate back.” Lexie rambles as I hold up my hand to stop her. “Enough Lexie, w
Kemira- I feel like a totally different person when I'm fighting. I know it’s mainly Tala taking over. Did I always know how to fight or is this a part of her past? 'Hey doll, I have lived several lives. But all these talents are only possible because of you. We work really well together.' Tala answers me reading my mind. As I finished up the practice and showered all I could think about was Takoa. I know he is out there following another lead in hopes of finding Alpha Leopold. I have been in my room in my pajamas watching The Wheel of Time with Chelsea and Ledisi. We have snacks and drinks. It's like a girl’s night which I'm happy for. Because it helps my mind not focus on Takoa. We watch the show and it's amazing how close to reality it seems. With all the witchcraft and special powers of the characters. I keep zoning out checking my phone. "Kemira, are you okay? You seem worried." Ledisi asks while she pins her braids up on top of her head wrapping the
Takoa- cont’d 'All clear.' Ryne announces. 'Men, move in!' I give the call as we all move in with the utmost of silence. You can't even hear anything beyond crickets. We move in from all directions around the home. My team entered through the back door. 'Breaching in 3...2...1.' The doors are kicked in at the same time. Along with the windows. My men filter into the structure. Smoke bombs are thrown into the windows as we hear a scream. It's a woman. Then I hear another sound. It's that of a child. "Stand down!" I yell as everyone freezes, I move into another room, finding Ryne being held back by three of my warriors. I'm totally confused. I look around the room and find a woman holding a child. I stand before Ryne blocking his view, forcing him to focus. "What is it, Ryne?" I ask him. "Mate." His lycan surges forward. I turn to see the young woman. She looks completely scared. She holds on to the baby for dear life. "Ryne, she i
Takoa- We got the confirmation we were hoping for. I hurried to our private jet to get us there. I have a team of warriors as well as Ryne, Kanji, and Riyadh. My mom stayed behind with my mate. My father will protect them all with his life. I know they are safe. I kissed her and told her I would return soon. Hopefully, with Leopold ready to answer for his crimes. As we take off, I have Ms. Riyadh next to me as I listen to her tell me about her daughter. "She was nineteen years old when he stole her. My daughter, Cheyenne, went to the silver moon pack for a party, and he was instantly obsessed with her. I was able to sense her every now and then. But he kept moving her. There was no trace of her. Until I felt her die. When her body was found in the river, there were bruises all over my child. He did such horrible things to her. Things that no parent should ever think about being done to their child. I buried her with her father, and I know he protects her now with the moo
