I was born to the beta family of my pack. My hair is the color of snow. So I always stood out. My life here was great until our Luna was killed by rogues. Then everything changed.

“I’ll never understand why our beloved Luna risked her life for such a useless omega. I mean, she doesn’t even have a wolf. She should have died instead of Luna.” I’m in the bathrooms scrubbing the toilets, and I hear Gemma and her two followers outside talking. I hold my breath, trying not to move an inch. But I know they smell my scent. Wolves have a great sense of smell.

“There you are! The alpha is looking for you, runt. You better hurry.” Gemma slams the stall open. Making me jump, I fall back, hitting the wall. She moves closer as she grinds her heel on my hand. I gasp, holding in the pain, remaining silent.

“Oops!” She smirks, grinding her heel even more into my hand. Trying to muffle the pain, I don’t allow a single tear to drop. If I show pain, she loves it even more. She bends over and grips my hair. “Why don’t you just run away. Or end your life altogether. No one here wants you.”

“Gemma, where is she? My father is not to wait!” An angry Alpha Lev turns into the entrance to the women’s bathroom. He is stunning even angry. His grey eyes and dark brown hair are just like his mom’s. His chiseled jawline, muscular build perfect for a future alpha.

“Yes, babe, I found her. Goofing off on chores.” Gemma pouts and finally moves her heel. She has been dating Lev since forever. She plans to be Luna, but they are not true mates. So she is waiting for him to claim her as his chosen mate. I have had a crush on him my entire life. Especially with my brother being his best friend and future Beta. Yet, they all hate me because of losing Luna Fiona.

“Get to his office now!” He yells at me. Then he pushes me roughly towards the door. He gives me a look of pure hatred and disgust. Once upon a time, we were all friends. I always had a crush on him. But when the luna was killed, he took his anger out on me. All because of a lie. A lie told by Gemma. He leans closer to me whispering. "Now go be a good slut for my father. Its all you're good for." He forces me along.

“Yes, Alpha.” I jump with tears in my eyes as I quickly head for the door. Gemma trips me, and I fall to the floor. My hands are already raw and bruised, but I am used to it.

“Such a clumsy waste of space.” Gemma continues as they all laugh.

I make it quickly to Alpha Leopold’s office. I knock, awaiting his permission to enter with my head bowed.

“Kemira, thank you for finding the time to grace me with your presence. It’s been brought to my attention that your birthday is coming up. If you don’t find your mate, you will continue to work off your debt.” He begins.

“Yes alpha.” I speak and instantly flinch. Alpha Leopold hates to be interrupted. He puts out his aura through gritted teeth. I tremble as if in pain. I feel nothing, though. His power doesn’t affect me, but I know if I tell anyone, they will make my life much worse.

“Yes, your debt for taking the life of my mate. For doing your evil work to trick my Luna into thinking you need help. Luckily, Gemma was there to tell us what happened. Otherwise, we would never know of your true evils.”

That has been the story. I lured Luna into the forest. She tried to save me, and I ran, leaving her to fight off four wolves. I told them that’s not what happened, but Gemma told them she saw it all. They took her word over mine. I had no clue she hated me so. Gemma and I were friends once upon a moon. Not anymore. Now, the entire pack hates me. No one speaks to me. They all contribute to my life being hell here.

“I will always have a special job for you, sweet girl.” Alpha Leopold gives me a sinister look. One I have seen too many times before. Since I took the life of his Luna. He uses me in her place. For his every lewd want and desire.
