LOGINAuthor's POV A few days agoCyrus wasn't sure what to think or do. There had been no news but he could feel in him there was something. He paced the office, eyes on the window in front of him. Something had happened, his heart skipped a beat at what it could be. Just then he heard his phone ring on his table. Cyrus didn't waste any time to rush over and pick the call. He felt his spirits raise in delight when he saw who the number was. It was exactly the person he wanted to hear from. “Tell me, is there any news?" He spat immediately, there wasn't any patience left in him. The male voice broke through the silence. “She has returned just a day ago. I saw her with my very own eyes. She does not have any injuries and there seems to be no harm done to her." It was a harsh whisper. Cyrus's heart raced a little. It was good news, despite the confusing way it came, it was still good. He knew he had to ask, his mind would be restless if he didn't. “Is she safe there? Does she seem happy

Author's POV Dominic had just sent a letter to the only historian he could trust. Jacob, an old friend to the kingdom. He owned the biggest library in the world and important documents rested in it. He even had the original copy of the greatest war that broke across the kingdoms. If anybody else knew where that document was or could be - he would. Dominic knew he was just grasping at straws. He had searched for months and had continued to do so; they had made no discoveries. There was a part of him that knew nothing would be found even here. At that very moment, he sat in the sitting room as he waited for someone important. He had called her just to confirm a few things for him. It wasn't that he didn't trust Sage but he didn't trust the people she had been with. Even as he battled so many things in his mind, he battled the one truth. The thing that he had done to her people - that was if it was ever confirmed. Maybe she didn't remember what happened but what if she did? When she
Author's POVIt had been two days since Sage's return. Dominic physically felt the air in the palace brighten up. He could note that the servants didn't cower back in fear at his mere presence. All throughout her disappearance he had experienced an explosive temper. He had also visited the garden a little more as well as the training room. His soldiers were happy with his presence. Despite all the time he spent making everything good again - like it had been before Sage's return, he hadn't spent as much time as he would like with her. It was always one person or the other spending it instead of him. His mother had begun to spend more time with her, an action that surprised both the maids and he. Whenever he went to her room, she was either sleeping and resting or her mother or his were with her. They both warned him not to stress her too much. Today he decided differently. As a mate, he had fulfilled one goal - getting her back. It didn't matter that they had brought her back thems
Author's POV The present Dominic's heart raced when he saw who it was. Her eyes slowly opened and he caught them with his. It was her. He stared in both shock and disbelief. He didn't move at first, he was unable to. It looked like a dream. Except it wasn't. Sage sat right in front of him, eyes on him. She had been tied to the chair with ropes. Her eyes moved from him to the men behind him and then back to him. Dominic was both frozen and speechless. He couldn't believe what was happening. “You" he whispered before he realized that it wasn't a dream. It was all real and she was there. He didn't say anything else. Instead he rushed to untie her, heart racing in his chest. As his hands brushed her skin he inhaled deeply. He couldn't believe it was real, that she was real. His body buzzed with both excitement and something he couldn't explain. He had so much he wanted to say but there were no words. Instead he went to untying her legs immediately he was done with her hands. He cou
Author's POV A month AgoThe light was the first thing she noticed as soon as she stepped out of the room. It blinded her, so much so that she had to cover them. It was too much at the same time. Her eyes were still so sensitive. They had been in darkness for so long, they had to get used to the light again. Sage took a deep breath. Her lungs expanded to inhale fresh air. It was as if she had been starved of it after so long. The air outside suddenly felt so new and different. It was like she had been upgraded and already she had begun to forget the stuffiness inside. She shook her hands and marveled at its freeness. She had been tied to a chair for so long. This was indeed freedom for her. Her back ached due to the pain of staying in one place for so long. She didn't know how long anymore. She remained like that for a minute, taking the newness of all of it. Around her, she could feel their stares. They hadn't exactly welcomed her with cheers. In fact they had kidnapped her, a p
Sage's POVSomething had changed in me. I wasn't exactly sure what and when it had happened but the hope I had before had vanished. It felt a little like magic. One minute I thought I had found my home and the next minute I wasn't so sure. There was a huge part of me that wanted to believe it was
Dominic's POV I wanted to clap, do something, anything other than just stand and watch. It was beautiful, what I had just witnessed. And it wasn't just because she was a healer and healing - it had been the way she did it and the short time with which she did it. My eyes went to the clock again,
Sage's POV The day after training had been boring. I wanted to do something but had no idea what it would be. For a moment I considered joining Bella but I didn't want to see Madam Elsie. I hadn't seen her in days and I liked it. Instead I walked out into the garden. There was the part of it wher
Sage's POV Although the meeting had remained in the back of my mind, I had managed to wake up early. Despite the lingering thoughts of her. She had stayed there, tingling as if to signal me to something but there wasn't anything. The way her eyes had watched and followed me. It felt like she knew
