Chapter 29: Growing Feelings

Rye slept for four hours. He immediately took a bath and prepared for university. He came out of Brady's room. His forehead furrowed as he smelled the delicious food from the kitchen. He immediately went down, and he was surprised to see Khali. She turned around and looked like she was doing something. He saw the food on the tabletop. Khali's got breakfast ready.

Khali was shocked when someone suddenly hugged her from behind. She was stunned, and she automatically struck him in the arm.

"Love is just me," Rye said as he held both hands.

"Why are you embracing me all of a sudden?" Khali said, annoyed.

Rye just smiled. "Have you cooked me breakfast?" Rye asked if he didn't hear her.

"No," Khali said. She took off and sat on the chair.

Rye looked at the cup of coffee Khali had left. He smiled, then took it and sat down across the table.

"The coffee tastes great." Smiling, Rye said. "How did you know I like black coffee? Did you intentionally read my mind?"
