Heart racing, Selena waited with bated breath for the red-haired girl to say something. She kept staring, playing with her fingers.

“Naive? I’m being naive?”

She sighed. “Look, I’m sorry, Cat. I just have a lot going on,” She began. “But I did nothing wrong to you or to this pack. I wasn’t the one who made Maddox leave Cassie. He did that all by himself. And as much as I wished that I didn’t have feelings for him, I do. And I can’t really change that, can I?”

Cat unfolded her arms from her ch

  • The Moon Goddess’s Mistake    Chapter 191. Rage, Part Two

Heart racing out of his chest, and his breathing so hard that it felt like he was going to have a heart attack right there, he knew that sh*t was about to go down. He knew that there was no going back. He knew that he had already become a puppet to his rage. At that very moment, he froze. Everything felt a bit slowed as his emotions banged on his heart and head as if they were using sledge hammers. As soon as he exhaled, he kicked the door down with all of his strength and it caved in immediately. Right there, he saw Elijah getting from on top of the omega as she was sprawled on the bed. “Are you f*cking kidding me?” He said as he marched towards the guy in anger. Elijah was someone who was very good at defending himself. He had graduated at the top of his training classes, and he was one of the few in the pack and town who had really big and strong wolves. The only reason that the alpha had broken his hand that night was because he had been drunk. And even though he had taken qui

Maddox groaned as he stirred in his sleep. The music he had put on to fall asleep was no longer playing, and there were chimes that kept coming from his phone. He was annoyed because he had actually been enjoying his sleep. He opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling for a few long seconds, allowing his reality to soon crash in on him. Everything came back, rushing into him…reminding him of how f*cked he was. Oh, how he wished that he could sleep forever. And he did not mean that in a depressed way or anything, but sleeping was such a great way to escape feeling. It was a perfect way of letting your mind and body rest at the same time. It was like taking a timeout from playing a game you never agreed to play. And that was life, you know? You just open your eyes one day and you’re crying in a hospital room, born into a world that you did not ask to be born into. It seemed unfair, but that was how things had been from the very beginning of time. And it was not going to change unti

Elijah knew the plan, he knew it from the very beginning. And he had agreed to it. But right now, hearing the guy remind him what needed to be done made him feel a way that he did not like. He did not want to hurt the omega in any way or form. He knew that all the guy was asking him to do was to give more alcohol to her so she could black out, but at the same time, he felt like that would not be good for her. “She’s already drunk, man. We can still do what we planned to do.” Malek scoffed. “And you know that the plan is to make sure that she blacks out.” He sounded like he did not care, but he did. He cared the most because he did not want anything to mess with his plan to take over the pack. Nothing at all. Elijah ran his hand through his hair and made a sound from his throat. “I’m sorry, but I don’t feel comfortable doing that.” He shook his head as he locked eyes with the guy. “Fine,” The guy replied without a beat. Then he sighed and made his way towards the car before openin

  • The Moon Goddess’s Mistake    Chapter 188. Four Apple Martinis

Four Apple Martinis soon turned to eight, and before Selena could even register it in the back of her mind, she was already drunk. She wished that she had not drank so much, she really did. But there was no going back in time. There was nothing that she could do now. She was in the hands of Elijah and whatever he wanted to do with her, he could. But she trusted him, she knew that he was a good guy. She knew that if anything, she had been the one to hurt him; she had been the villain. And despite it all, he had still treated her and her family well. She was barely listening to what he was saying, but laughed freely anyway. At the moment, everything felt…lighter. Life felt way much better. There was no anxiety choking her, and she did not have to be reminded by her mind that she could die in the battle with Malek and let everyone down. She was no longer worried about the alpha, or had any guilt about the fact that Axiel was in love with her when both of them knew that she could neve

Selena was wearing a golden dress, and her hair that was once brown was now fully white. So much had changed, not only her appearance. She was not the omega she once knew. If anything, it felt like she was a much different person now. Her hair flowed to her shoulders, and she had on heels as well, but they were not very tall though. She felt better knowing that the alpha was asleep, and she had decided within herself that she was going to come back early just because of him. She really wanted to be able to help him, but she just did not know exactly how to do that at the moment. She was behind the steering wheel of one of the cars. The guard who was responsible for keeping the keys to all of them had no problem giving her one to the vehicle that she had chosen. She did not drive often, but she was good at it. She was always careful when she drove. She did not care if people would see it as her driving like a grandma. She arrived at the bar in twenty minutes, it was a bit of a dis

  • The Moon Goddess’s Mistake    Chapter 186. Poison Tree

The house was quiet. It was usually not very noisy, but this kind of quiet was different. This one made Selena feel so uncomfortable. And it had her even missing Cassie who used to treat her like sh*t. Knowing the girl had been lost forever to being a vampire made the omega very sad. Then the dark prophecy was also very much alive more than ever. And let’s not forget that the alpha had just lost his mother. Everything just seemed very heavy. It made sense as to why the beta had decided to go for a run. Selena wished that she could, too. And she knew that she could, no one would stop her. But she was way too tired, and besides, she knew that she would have to wake up early for training. So yeah, running was not an option right now. She made her way out of the mansion and towards the garden, the cold of the night licking the back of her neck. It was not chilly, the temperature was actually perfect. That was kind of the only thing that was right at the moment, everything else was a d
