Chapter 5

Author’s POV:

Next day all was going good, classes were going on inspector Isaac and John and others were working in their police station. All of a sudden, the electric lights began trembling. The occurrence kept happening for ten to fifteen seconds and then it was ok. Some people got frightened and all got curious. “This happened after eleven years, the same as before”, Isaac told in presence of John and another officer. They looked at each other. Students of a class started whispering. Seeing that the lecturer ordered to stop and again began to give his lecture. Lusie looked her left-right and it was ok few persons there steered each other. 

Dr. Sheen and Sunney were in the secret head office room of the powerplant. They were getting themselves ready for the switch which might happen in the very next day. Dr. Sheen asked Sunney “Is everything going well? I don’t want anything wrong happens”. Sunney assured him that they were quite ready that time. Dr. Sheen shook his head and there was a smile on his face. And he added “Then, let’s see what happens after tomorrow”. While saying those Dr. Sheen was looking at the booth where the boy was senseless. 

A middle-aged couple entered into the police station and started talking loudly with crying. John came out of his cabin and called them to his cabin. They entered there and then he told them to have seats. Then he offered the glass of water that was on his desk. The woman drank the water. Then, John tried to make them calm and told that they were trying their best to find out their little son. “It has been more than three months, please, please … get me my son”, the woman told the officer crying. John was out of word and the man with the woman was trying to make her calmed. 

In Mack’s home the three were gathered there and were planning for the adventure starting from tomorrow. Ron started talking “I think our first plan should be to observe the lake. Because for so many years as we have heard that the water of the lake is clean and blue, depth and height all the same. How come!” “You are right but we cannot just observe. We have to spy. Don’t forget about my incident”, Jerry alerted the other two of them. Mack agreed to Jerry and said that he was right. “So, what’s next Ron?”, asked Jerry. Ron continued again “If we find any movement that seems suspicious to us, we will decide our next approach then based on the incident. But we have to think about it that we just keep our eyes on the lake continuously the full day”. Then Mack added “I shall take my camera with me. And we also should keep the walkie-talkie with us. We can use those if we get apart”. Ron told Mack that that would be a great idea. “Yeah, then it is. And now I have to go home. Since inspector will visit me at home today just after evening”, Jerry said to them. “Why?”, Ron asked. Jerry replied to them that he wanted to talk to me about that day. 

While cycling back to home, Ron asked Jerry if he was ok. “Yeah, I am ok”, replied Jerry and added that he was a bit confused about why the inspector wanted to talk to him. “Wasn’t it a normal incident?” Ron asked again “are you hiding something, Jerry. Look, if there is anything that troubling you or not, you should tell that to the inspector and me as well”. “Can… Can you remember that I got frightened hearing some loud sound that day?”, asked Jerry. Ron replied in the affirmative and asked “was there anything else?” Jerry shook his head as yes and added “there was something else. Actually, when I was running back and I saw the traffic light, it was trembling and just felt that I have no power to stand let alone running. After that, I can’t remember anything”.  Hearing those Ron said that they had to be more careful the next day. 

“Mooom, I am home”, entering home Jerry shouted. “Hi, Jerry”, Braden replied from the drawing room. Jerry told him “Hello”. Addressing Jerry as bro, Braden said to Join him. And also mentioned that he had come to see him”. Jerry thanked him and said “Good to see you too, bro”. In the mean-time Lusie was there with cups of tea for all of them. Then they were having chitchat while drinking tea.

Mack was packing his bag with necessary tools for tomorrow and his mother Dina saw that. She surprisingly asked what was going on. Was he going somewhere. Mack tried to hide his bag and replied “No mom, what are you saying. These are just ummm… just school notes”. “Okey, come down dear. Have some snakes with us”, Dina offered her son. Mack replied his mom by nodding his head as yes. As soon as his mom left the room, he sat on the bed. And acted like he got relieved from getting exposed.

Hotel Medfly: Dr Jackson entered the hotel and walked to the reception point. “Hello, Dr.”, said the receptionist and asked That if she might help him. “Yeah, I have a reservation”, Dr. Jackson told her. Hearing that from him, she checked in the computer and gave him a key card and wished, “Have a good day, sir”. Dr Jackson went to his room and ordered coffee. Then, he phoned Dr. Sheen. “Hello, Dr. Sheen”. “Hello, Dr. Jackson. I was expecting this phone tomorrow. Anyway, are you here?”, Dr. Sheen asked his friend Dr. Jackson. Dr. Jackson replied in the affirmative and angrily asked if he was ready or not. And remined him that it was his last chance. Dr. Sheen welcomed him and said that they were all ready and added that it was just a matter of switching the switch. “Well, good work and good to hear that and good for you as well. Then see you tomorrow”, saying these Dr. Jackson hung up the phone.

Dr. Sheen called Sunney and told to come earlier the next day and also informed her that that was the day which would make a history. Then he called the Chief security officer Samuel and ordered to satay tight and increase the members around the powerplant and the lake as well. The officer replied in the affirmative and hung up the phone. Then, Dr. Sheen went to the window with a glass of wine in his hand and looked outside. It was raining then.
