Chapter 8

The elders of Storm Pack.

Ryan's POV

“Someone is coming!” I raised my hands and alerted my men.

“Your hearing is perfect, Alpha Ryan.” One of the rogues emerged from the woods.

We were then surrounded by the group of rogues who growled loudly waiting for the man who seemed to be the leader to give them the order to attack.

“You had the nerve to break into my pack!” I growled. “I will teach you what happens to those who mess with me.

Connor was the first to attack, followed by Dante. I sped to where their boss was before he could scare me with his claws. I sent him flying in the air,I winced when one had managed to bite my leg. I pulled out the gun in my pocket and he growled slowly, he must have thought it was a normal gun.

But the one I had was a special kind,it contained a silver bullet which was lethargic to werewolves. I shot him and he growled loudly in pain. I peered from behind and saw that the rest had taken care of them. Liam was about to snap the head of one of the rogues but I stopped him.

Where the heck is their hideout.

“Stop,we need him alive.” I walked to where he was.

“Where is your hideout?” I asked the rogue that had now shifted to his human form.

“No telling.” He spit on me but not without getting his foot shot.

“The heck!” He screamed in pain.

“I won't ask again.” I pointed the gun to his manhood. “Tell me and I'll spare you,I can let you into my pack.”

The rogue laughed at my words before I could say a word he slit his throat and his blood spilled on our faces.

“What the crap!” Connor yelled.

“This son of a gun just ripped out his heart!” Dante gaped incredulously.

My phone rang distracting me from replying to them. The screen displayed Luke as the caller and my heart twisted in fear.

“Alpha the woman is getting better,I wanted to let you know the good news seeing how you were worried about her last night.” He said.

“Is she awake?” I asked and I could feel my men staring at the back of my skull.

“No sir,she is not awake but she will be very soon.” He said in an optimistic tone.

“I'll be there in a couple of minutes” I ended the call and turned around only to see my men looking at me curiously.

“I've got to go, take care of the bodies.”

I told them and left the area to where my car was and drove off like a bat.

“How's she?” I asked Luke again for the upteenth time.

Unlike the last time,she was in a delicate state that only a limited number of people can go in, now it was different I was in with her. My heart did a somersault at the sight in front of me, although Luke said she was clear from the red zone.

But Tasha's tiny, broken body laid on the bed.

“She is still in a fragile shape sir,but I can assure you that she will pull through.” Luke, who was now checking the heart monitor and the wires connected to Tasha's lifeless body, answered.

“Thank you.” I sighed and sank to the chair that was near the bed.

I rubbed my face in my hands as I remembered the first time we met. “You have to be strong.” I murmured, my eyes falling back to Tasha.

“The nurse will come here multiple times to check her vitals.” Luke informed me before leaving the ward.

I stood up and went to the window and adjusted it properly,I froze when I heard Tasha's murmuring. I dashed to her side but her eyes were still shut. Beads of sweat started to form in her head and I stiffened, unsure if it caused an alarm or not.

I touched her forehead and a series of curses escaped my mouth when I felt her hot temperature. I immediately mindlink Luke about the situation who in turn told me a nurse will be there in some seconds and that I shouldn't freak out.

“Can I do it?” I asked the nurse who was now using a towel to pat Tasha's body.

“Yes,sir.” She handed the basin to me and explained what to do.

The nurse left and I attended to Tasha,I pressed the cloth gently on her forehead. “I'm sorry for leaving you in the Hotel like that.” I murmured.

I might be a monster but not to a lady,I shouldn't have discarded her like that. I bit my lip as the guilt was eating me up.

What if all this was my fault?

“I'm sorry.” I sighed, deeping the napkin back into the water and rinsing it out.

As I moved the cloth towards the crook of her neck,she groaned and I froze staring down at her to see if she had woken up.

“Tasha.” I called her softly.

As if she heard me she murmured some incoherent words, her eyes were still shut, even with my amazing hearing I couldn't hear what she was saying. I continued with my movement until her temperature had cooled down.

I sat down and watched her steer on the bed,all of a sudden she cried out “Help me!” I stood up at once and her eyes were still shut.

I took her hands in mine and tried to comfort her, not sure if she could hear me or not.

“No!” She turned her head to the other side of the bed.

“You are safe here, you have to be strong Tasha.” I tried again.

“The…. rogue.” She didn't complete her words before she kept quiet again.

When I was sure she was calm,I took the basin wanting to dispose of the contents when Luke came in with a frown on his face.

“What's wrong?” My eyes swiveled to Tasha and then to him.

“You might not like this Alpha.” Luke ground out, showing me a mustard yellow file.

“What's in it?” I eyed the file.

“This woman is pregnant Alpha.” My eyes widened at his statement.

Natasha is pregnant?
