ELOWEN'S POV

A tall dark figure emerged from the dark shadows, his prensence demeaning. His hands wrapped around my wrists as he led me away.

“I'll take care of her from here.” The figure said, marching down the hallway.

His steps echoed as the guards followed him along the hallway.

“We can take care of her from here, Alpha. You don't have to stress yourself over a lycan.” One of the wolves suggested, grabbing my right hand. He insisted I followed them but Alpha Dorian declined and he insisted on dealing with me by himself.

“I said it's fine!” He growled, his voice cold. “Don't question me further. I'll handle it from here. Got it?”

“But Alpha…what if she tries to hurt you? She's a lycan after all!” Another guard persisted, urging Alpha Dorian to let go of my hand.

“Are you insane?” Alpha Dorian retorted, yelling at the wolf. His grip on my wrist tightened as he proceeded to lead me out of the hallway.

Something..which looked like a secret place where no one is allowed to be in.

“I don't want to be bothered till the next morning. Got it?” He had instructed his guards before leaving, “And great job on bringing her to me!”

He ordered for the maids to serve the guards before he left with me, his hands still wrapped around my wrist.

“Are you okay?” He asked, lifting my chin up. His voice was soft, subtle as he asked if I was okay or needed something. “What should I get you?”

Across the battlefield was a Manor.

He led me inside, took me to a clean room and ushered me shelter and warmth.

“Are you okay?” He repeated, his eyes glancing at my arms. He noticed the bruises on my arms, moved closer and sat on the bed.

His tone was different from the man I just met earlier. How he spoke to the guards was totally different but how he speaks to me, it's soft and gentle.

“Is there something wrong?” He repeatedly asked, handing over a glass of water.

At this point, I could not hide it anymore.

My eyes were teary, filled with hot tears. I couldn't believe it, this was the first time someone has ever asked how I felt ever since my brother sold me to Cyrus.

During my stay in Cyrus's home, I've never been acknowledged by anyone. I tried holding my tears back but unfortunately, I couldn't.

My eyes filled with tears, I struggled to utter a word. Alpha Dorian looked at me with so much concern, his eyes were filled with so much love and care.

“It's okay. You're fine now.” He assured, his voice low. He wrapped his arms around my body, pulling me closer to him.

I felt warmth. I finally could feel the peace I've been desperately begging for.

He comforted me, patting me softly.

I could not help but pour all my emotions and anger out. All the pains and heartaches I've been hiding from everyone, everything was let out.

“It's okay..”

“You're in safe hands now..”

“No one is going to hurt you anymore..”

His words were a reassurance to the little hope I had clung onto. He understood me without a word being uttered from me.

His lips curved into a little smile when he saw me chuckle softly. “I'll get you some fresh clothes to change in for the night.”

“Thank you.” I muttered, glancing at him softly. I was still afraid of making eye contact with him due to his history and reputation of being the East Beast.

My heart tightened when I thought about my baby.

But then my thoughts darkened. My baby. What game was Cyrus playing when he gave us up…knowing I carried his heir? Did he not care about the child at all? Or was there some plan hidden behind his cruelty.

Fear rooted me as I hesitated telling Alpha Dorian about my pregnancy. I thought maybe if he knew, he'd kill the child and I immediately without having a second thought.

“You finally said something!” He teased softly, stroking my hair softly. His hands rested on my hand as he grabbed his phone to place a call.

Shortly after the call, pairs of fresh clothes and food were delivered to the room.

“Are…Are all these for me?” I stuttered, unable to process my thoughts.

“Yes.” He affirmed, “Or are these too little? I could bring more if you want.”

“No, no, no, no. This is more than enough..” I interrupted, “Thank…thank you so much.”

“It's okay! It's nothing!’ He said, “And besides…I didn't get to know your name.”

“Oh! It's..it's.. Elowen.”

“That is a beautiful name!” He complimented, “Mine is Dorian..I'm pretty sure you've heard of me…haven't you?”

“A bit..”

“That is fine! You'll know more about me soon.” He said, his voice suddenly turned cold. “I'll see you tomorrow morning. Have a lovely night.”

“You're…you're leaving..?”

“Or would you rather I stayed?” He murmured, stepping closer until my back nearly touched the wall. His breath brushed against my ear, which made my heart pound.

“Don't worry Elowen..I don't bite.” His hot breath coated in my ears made my heart tighten.

His eyes darted to my lips, hands brushing against my waist.

Gladly, the awkward tension was interrupted by the light knock on the door.

Gosh! I heaved a sigh of relief when he creaked the door open.

“Good day Alpha Dorian. Miss Ravina seeks you.” The guard said, holding a document in his hands.

“Leah?” Alpha Dorian asked, confused, “I thought she was away for a summit for the week.”

“Yes, she was. But her summit was canceled at the last minute, so she was left with no choice but to return.” The guard explained, handing over the document to Dorian. “She also asked for this to be handed over to you, Alpha.”

Dorian's hand slipped slightly as he held the document. For the first time since I'd met him, his composure cracked.

Why was the beast of the East afraid of a woman's name?

ELOWEN'S POV Dorian was uneasy.Who was this woman who rattled him so badly?“I'll handle her. Just tell her I'm unavailable for now.” He ordered the guard. “Make sure she doesn't find out I'm here. Got it?”“But she asked to see you Alpha…” the guard persisted, trying to convince Dorian otherwise. “Miss Leah asked to see you Alpha, she said it's quite urgent.”“Are your ears for decoration?” Dorian snapped, “I told you to tell her that I'm unavailable! Got it?”The guard flinched, throwing me a dark glare before he left. “Sure Alpha.. I'll relay your message to Miss Leah.” The guard replied, looking at me with a dark glare. Dorian dismissed him shortly after, and ordered him not to say a word about his whereabouts to Leah.“I'm sorry about that. Did I startle you?” He asked.“No, it's fine.” I responded, avoiding eye contact with him. “But can I ask you a question?”“Sure. You're free to. Go ahead!” He urged.“You seemed nervous when the guard mentioned her name.” I said, “Could

ELOWEN'S POVBlood drained from my face as I struggled to respond. “How..how did you know?” I stuttered in disbelief. How did he find out about my pregnancy?“Your little maid friend.” He said, laughing hysterically. “You actually thought she wouldn't say a word to me? Have you forgotten the rules of the Manor, Elowen?”How could she do this to me? She knew how far I've gone in this Manor and everything I had to endure. “She told you?” “Yes.” He scoffed, “She thought you told me already. Spilled everything right in my palm.”“It's so dumb of you, Elowen. You were actually planning on keeping this a secret from me and running off with my child? The heir to my pack?” He continued, absolutely berating me. “What were you thinking, huh? That I would not catch you?”His smirk deepened as he stared at me darkly, “You'll rot in here until he's born and I am done with you. And you better pray it is a boy you're carrying, else you'll be in more trouble.” I whispered, trying to call him. “Von

  • The OMEGA'S RIVAL   A Step too Late

ELOWEN'S POV I sprang up on the floor, grabbed my box which was filled with my necessities before heading towards the door. My hands reached for the door knob. My heart beating faster with every step I took, adrenaline rushed through my body, hastening and jolting me back to reality. This is my only way of getting out of this misery. This is the only way I'll be able to save my child and prevent it from being used as a continuation of Cyrus’s game. The worst mistake I could ever make is to give birth to an heir for him. He would end me immediately, citing that my job was done here.Every move of mine was calculated. I had it at the back of my mind that I must never be caught or seen by anyone, including the guests. I couldn't afford to make a sound or to be seen.Fortunately, there was no one in sight as I stepped out of my room. I was grateful that the celebration was moved to the West wing of the house. There were few foreseen issues which resulted in Cyrus changing the location

ELOWEN'S POV I turned quickly, hurrying to the opposite hall, desperate to escape being caught by Cyrus. If he catches me eavesdropping on their conversation, he might reconsider his decision of letting me out today. This was the only chance I've got to escape this horrible life I've been living here. I couldn't take it anymore as hot tears poured from my eyes. Every step I took, my heart thudded more. My mind raced as the truth slapped me right across my face. Cyrus would never see me as his mate, nor his equal. To him, I'll always be a sex object and a baby machine. He doesn't acknowledge me nor does he care about me, all he wants is for me to bear an heir for him.I was just a tool…a pawn in his game of power.Fortunately, I was unable to tell him about my pregnancy. He does not deserve to be the father of my child, nor does he deserve to be in our life. My breath seized in shallow gasps and I was unable to think straight. “What was I supposed to do now? What's the next step f

  • The OMEGA'S RIVAL   A Slave, Not a Mate

ELOWEN'S POV “She seems to be of great value in more ways than one.” Cyrus said, his tone sounded casual, almost like a smug.Unfortunately, my curiosity got the best of me as I thought to myself. “Who is he talking about?” “What other value does she hold then?” A voice responded. It was his beta, Bella.Cyrus let out a sinister chuckle. “Leverage.” He said, “Her bloodline makes her the prize, the one true heir to the Heliotrope’s throne. She is the key to securing alliances and destroying all the possible future threats that might appear. She is our key to power, Bella. With her being here, we'll have everything we can possibly wish for.”The sound of my name rang repeatedly in my head, as the fresh breath of air slapped across my face. He continued, “She will draw them out. When they figure out and realize who she truly is, they'll come running back for her..and we will destroy them, sparing none of them. By then, it'll be too late for them to have her back.”I gripped the bars o
