Chapter 2
Violet POV
“Where am I?” I asked unable to hold back my questions. “Where did you take me to?”
I struggled to get on my feet but my ankles buckled under me and I held on to the chair for support. My eyes move down until it settled on the gash on my knees, I was bleeding and didn’t even know it.
“Please- God no-“ I cried lowly nursing the torn skin. It was going to make a mess everywhere, I have to do something about it. A new shadow hovered over me and when I glanced up I watched my abductor squat with a box with the words First Aid imprinted on it.
“Let me see.” He said gruffly stretching out his hands to touch me but I pulled back.
"Who are you?", I mumbled lowly waiting for him to respond but he didn’t instead, he opened the first aid box to take out a white cotton pad.
“Don’t touch me-“ I scrambled further into the seat. My abductor raised his head to meet my gaze, his dark eyes boring into mine, something was off about him, his aura was dangerous yet I couldn’t reason why some part of me wanted to trust him.
"What do you want from me?" I pleaded again this time my voice going higher than before yet I got no reply from him.
"Sit properly", he said after a long pause.
When I didn’t move he sighed and slammed the box shut and raked his hands through his black hair.
“Look, I don’t need your blood on my furniture. Sit properly.”
“N-o.” I answered with all the courage within me. He was intimidating, I’ll give him that.
“You know what, suit yourself-“ when I thought he was going to leave me alone, he grabbed me like I was nothing and carried me. I tried to scream but the fear in my chest wouldn’t let me, it weighed me down that I didn’t even fight him. He was walking up the stairs and then opening a door, he was gentle enough to make sure I didn’t hit anything when he pushed me into the room.
"This is your room" he said, his face contoured in anger. “This is where you’ll be staying.” My eyes were now teary as I watched him walk away shutting the door behind him.
“Please- don’t leave me here!” I pleaded limping towards the for where I banged on it heavily. The sound from the door muffled out and my hands were aching from hitting so hard. The knob turned and the door plunged opened, for a while I was happy that he came back until I saw the first aid box by his side.
“Please- don’t keep me here.” I begged reaching for his arms but he pulled away dropping the box inside the room.
“Treat yourself and get some rest.” That was the only thing he said and he left, closing the door.
Hopeless and helpless, I stared at the door unable to do anything. How did I be such a fool? Entering a car that belonged to a complete stranger in the middle of the night. At least the place wasn’t smelly and almost dilapidated like where we stayed back home.
To my right I eyed the first aid box and then my knee, the blood had dried up and was now coating around the edges.
It took a while for me to get myself all cleaned up, it sting like hell but at least I won’t risk getting an infection, after I was done I rose to my feet as parade the room, looking for anything that would help me. The windows were locked tight, no handles to break or locks to pick.
“Guess I’m really stuck here-” I murmured to myself. I stood infront of the full length mirror inspecting myself. My hair was a wild mess from struggling and my face puffed and smudged with tears, in all I was ugly. I managed to tame my hair down with a couple of finger brushes, my face- well I found some wipes in the kit.
Done. My clothes, they were the only thing I had, and were the only thing I was comfortable in. Even if there was any new clothes I’m not sure I want to wear them, I didn’t want my abductor to think I was comfortable here.I thought about how awful my relationship with Jonathan had been, I’m glad I got away this time but it’s still going to happen again if I go back.
I chewed on my button lips, unable to sleep. My body was tired but I needed to do one thing.
"I need to get out of here.” I mumbled taking another swoop of the room. There was no way to leave except through the door and it was locked.
"Help me!” I pounded on the door hoping that a miracle would happen and ill be saved from my abductor. When I heard nothing coming front the other side, no savior whatsoever, I raked my hands through my hair in frustration. That was when I felt something, pulling the cold piece of metal out of my hair I almost cried again when I saw what it was. My hair pin. I stared at the lock and then the pin again.
“This is going to be a bit hard-” I kneeled in front of the door using my pin to worm on the lock, for a house this big and fancy the locks are quite basic. At the sound of the click, my heart jumped to my throat. It worked.
Quietly, I pulled the door opened and peeked out into the hallway, it was empty. Now that I was out of the room I just need to find my way out of this place. Cautiously, I trailed down the stairs careful not to draw any noise to myself, my eyes scanned every single place I passed to male sure. At the base of the stairs the base of my feet comes in contact with the cold marble floor.
“There is no mistake!” I almost toppled when I heard the voice, “I’m telling you I know.” Their was some sort of urgency in his voice. It was coming from nearby.
“I found her last night okay, and some douche had the audacity to hit her-” my eyes widened when I realized who he was talking about. Me. He was talking about me.
“Yes, I’m going to make him pay for what he did to her.” He growled. “No body gets to treat my Mate like that.”
Chapter 92EPILOGUE Ansel POVI had never been more scared in my life than knowing that something was wrong with Violet, when she doubled over in my hands and asked that i called Avery i knew something was awfully wrong. Now she was in my arms as we rushed out of the space with Avery by my side and her mother by the other. The ambulance was here and when they came to take her away from my clutch i sent a glare towards the man.“Ansel- they’ll need to take her.” Avery said with pleading eyes but my own remained on Violet, her brows were slightly furrowed and her lips were slightly parted and her breath sahllow.“Mr. W-”“Ansel, don’t be selfish we all want her to be fine. So just let them do there job.” Jim said and i stared down at her one more time before i turned to the rest of them, every one was equally worried about her like i was. I passed her to the worker who seemed relieved and they placed her in the stretcher and carried her to the ambulance where they laid her in. Avery fo
chapter 91Violet POVThe engagementAvery zipped me up in my dress and my hands smoothened over the front of the dress, it was an ankle length satin dress that fit my curves very well, my bump was there, little but if you looked close enough it was there. My hair and makeup had been done properly and i couldn’t help but gush at how bright my face was.“Are you ready to go?” I asked and turned to Avery who was finishing up on her lips, she posed quickly and aligned herself properly when she found me watching me.We got in the car, we were already fifteen minutes late. Mother and Jim had already arrived while we stayed back to finish up since we had been tired through the morning. “Is your speech ready?” Avery asked as the car arrived the venue, of course camera’s and lights were everywhere. I chewed on my buttom lips and turned to the window where i inspected the outside adn grabbed my clutch.“Yeah, i had to rewrite it”“You did?”“Yeah, fresh inspiration came while i was trobuling
Chapter Ninty Sophia POVI had messed up a hundred times and betraying Ansel was never the most thrilling, in fact i always felt bad about it every single time. I carried the guilt around like one of my designer dresses on fancy nights and it made me act terribly towards everyone, especially Violet. She was the only one who made Ansel happy yet it wasn’t enough for me to back down. I ended up being a bitch to her the entire time. Maureen had never someone i liked, i didn’t openly say it because she was human, she ahd nothing to make me envy her so much so i let it slide. When i heard of the attack on her, something felt awfully off and i went out to investigate, it just took not long to hearing Maureen telling someone to make sure the evidence was burnt away, i had tracked the person just in time that i laid my hands on the evidence and made sure Maureen knew i had it.It was the way i could get her out of the house, away from Ansel. I had no idea with what happened between Ansel an
Chapter 89Violet POVI rubbed my face one last time and then watched as Ashley did her little dance, it was nothing I wanted to seat here and watch-“Hey violet. What do you think about this?” Avery asked and I turned to her, she had a single piece of lilac material and another of peach. “I don't know which of the two your mother would like, I tried asking her but she seemed so busy with Jim I decided to come ask you.” “Peach-” Ashley answered and I turned to her, she had stopped dancing and placed her fingers on her chin, her face was less sweaty than before and she pouted her lips when she found me staring.“What? You know she likes peaches.” she shrugged and turned back dancing. I rolled my eyes and turned back to Avery who had a sheepish smile on her face.“Shes right, Mums favourite colours are peaches.” I said and Avery nodded. I was staring down at the planner in front of me when my phone started buzzing. My heart thumbed in my chest when I found the name, I paled and my mou
Chapter Eighty-eightAnsel POVIt’s been a month since the whole incident with Glen, he had been caught and taken to a special facility. The place i was currenlty heading to alone. The doors buzzed opened and i turned right where i was greeted by the guard who escorted me further into the room. There was something i wanted to know from him and after days of contemplating i was here to meet his face to face.“Are you sure you want to see him?” The head of the facility asked and I didn’t respond and we kept walking. There was a stench that reminded me of the hospital, acidic and nausating. “Yes,” He sighed and carried me to the elevator, he pressed at the button and then a key code, the doors closed and then the box drifted downwards. The doors opened and the space was darker than the upper place, it looked like a vault another of the door was opened with a keycard and the two guards by the entrance greeted us with a slight nod, we entered the visiting area which was made of round tabl
Chapter Eighty-SevenLaila POVONE MONTH LATER Jim finally found jonathan and we were able to find the twins, they were safe and Jim made sure to teach Jonathan a lesson for threatening my family, he was bashed beyond recognition. Mother pleaded with Jim not to kill him and he reluctantly obbeyed. Glen on the other hand had been intercepted by special ops of werewolves. Jim informed us that Gloria had reached out and they tackled Glen and destroyed everything they experimented on and locked him away at a special facility. It was all over and i was supposed to be happy that it was but i couldn’t. “Vi- we should get that, what do you think?” Mother asked as we shopped for materials, the divorce had run through successfully not after making sure to leave an imprint on dad.I nodded absentmindedly as I followed her gaze and then reached out to touch a pink material on the cover. It was soft and smooth, when I tried to pull it out it didn’t budge until I found another pair of hands grabb
