Chapter 2

Violet POV

“Where am I?” I asked unable to hold back my questions. “Where did you take me to?”

I struggled to get on my feet but my ankles buckled under me and I held on to the chair for support. My eyes move down until it settled on the gash on my knees, I was bleeding and didn’t even know it.

“Please- God no-“ I cried lowly nursing the torn skin. It was going to make a mess everywhere, I have to do something about it. A new shadow hovered over me and when I glanced up I watched my abductor squat with a box with the words First Aid  imprinted on it.

“Let me see.” He said gruffly stretching out his hands to touch me but I pulled back.

"Who are you?", I mumbled lowly waiting for him to respond but he didn’t instead, he opened the first aid box to take out a white cotton pad.

“Don’t touch me-“ I scrambled further into the seat. My abductor raised his head to meet my gaze, his dark eyes boring into mine, something was off about him, his aura was dangerous yet I couldn’t reason why some part of me wanted to trust him.

"What do you want from me?" I pleaded again this time my voice going higher than before yet I got no reply from him.

"Sit properly", he said after a long pause.

When I didn’t move he sighed and slammed the box shut and raked his hands through his black hair.

“Look, I don’t need your blood on my furniture. Sit properly.”

“N-o.” I answered with all the courage within me. He was intimidating, I’ll give him that.

“You know what, suit yourself-“ when I thought he was going to leave me alone, he grabbed me like I was nothing and carried me. I tried to scream but the fear in my chest wouldn’t let me, it weighed me down that I didn’t even fight him. He was walking up the stairs and then opening a door, he was gentle enough to make sure I didn’t hit anything when he pushed me into the room.

"This is your room" he said, his face contoured in anger. “This is where you’ll be staying.” My eyes were now teary as I watched him walk away shutting the door behind him.

“Please- don’t leave me here!” I pleaded limping towards the for where I banged on it heavily. The sound from the door muffled out and my hands were aching from hitting so hard. The knob turned and the door plunged opened, for a while I was happy that he came back until I saw the first aid box by his side.

“Please- don’t keep me here.” I begged reaching for his arms but he pulled away dropping the box inside the room.

“Treat yourself and get some rest.” That was the only thing he said and he left, closing the door.

Hopeless and helpless, I stared at the door unable to do anything. How did I be such a fool? Entering a car that belonged to a complete stranger in the middle of the night. At least the place wasn’t smelly and almost dilapidated like where we stayed back home.

To my right I eyed the first aid box and then my knee, the blood had dried up and was now coating around the edges.

It took a while for me to get myself all cleaned up, it sting like hell but at least I won’t risk getting an infection, after I was done I rose to my feet as parade the room, looking for anything that would help me. The windows were locked tight, no handles to break or locks to pick.

“Guess I’m really stuck here-” I murmured to myself. I stood infront of the full length mirror inspecting myself. My hair was a wild mess from struggling and my face puffed and smudged with tears, in all I was ugly. I managed to tame my hair down with a couple of finger brushes, my face- well I found some wipes in the kit.

Done. My clothes, they were the only thing I had, and were the only thing I was comfortable in. Even if there was any new clothes I’m not sure I want to wear them, I didn’t want my abductor to think I was comfortable here.I thought about how awful my relationship with Jonathan had been, I’m glad I got away this time but it’s still going to happen again if I go back.

I chewed on my button lips, unable to sleep. My body was tired but I needed to do one thing.

"I need to get out of here.” I mumbled taking another swoop of the room. There was no way to leave except through the door and it was locked.

"Help me!” I pounded on the door hoping that a miracle would happen and ill be saved from my abductor. When I heard nothing coming front the other side, no savior whatsoever, I raked my hands through my hair in frustration. That was when I felt something, pulling the cold piece of metal out of my hair I almost cried again when I saw what it was. My hair pin. I stared at the lock and then the pin again.

“This is going to be a bit hard-” I kneeled in front of the door using my pin to worm on the lock, for a house this big and fancy the locks are quite basic. At the sound of the click, my heart jumped to my throat. It worked.

Quietly, I pulled the door opened and peeked out into the hallway, it was empty. Now that I was out of the room I just need to find my way out of this place. Cautiously, I trailed down the stairs careful not to draw any noise to myself, my eyes scanned every single place I passed to male sure. At the base of the stairs the base of my feet comes in contact with the cold marble floor.

“There is no mistake!” I almost toppled when I heard the voice, “I’m telling you I know.” Their was some sort of urgency in his voice. It was coming from nearby.

“I found her last night okay, and some douche had the audacity to hit her-” my eyes widened when I realized who he was talking about. Me. He was talking about me.

“Yes, I’m going to make him pay for what he did to her.” He growled. “No body gets to treat my Mate like that.”
